Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • WOW! - 2008 Honda Accord

I have owned very high end cars and I am amazed at the expectations of some of these reviewers. This Honda is so fun to drive and very reasonably priced. A 20k car is not going to drive like a 50k car. My husband and I compare it to our old BMW. Of course, it has more road noise but so did the 5 series when we tested it. We are both tall, 511 and 62" and have no problems with the seats. This is a great car for the money.

Just received 2 weeks ago my new Honda Accord EX-L w/navi. It is my first Honda purchase after owning a Subaru Legacy. I love the light of dashboard and comfort of leather seats. The interior is amazing and the navi is so user friendly. If asked for same amount of money to choose a navi or a V6 I will opt for the Navi; it adds a dimension to traveling that a V6 will not give you (might be slower to unknown destination). Smooth drive.

I have owned this Accord for 7 months and overall its a very nice car. The interior is roomy, plenty of shoulder and leg room. The ride and handling are crisp with a bit of European flavor to it, though it falls just short of the total experience. The sound system is OK but tends to be shrill at times. Gas mileage has been acceptable but not particularly notable. The seats are firm, and at first I didnt care for them, but after a while I learned to appreciate that the firmness is really part of the overall ride and handling and you feel more attuned and attached to the driving experience. Acceleration is middling but OK. Smooth and almost transparent shifting. Great car for commuting.

Tested several cars but always went back to the Honda. Have only had it a few days, but it seems to be a winner. Leather, heated seats, auto a/c, heated mirrors, power seats, ect. The 2.4 has really good power, and mileage is 34/24. After inspecting the car at home, I was amazed at the fit, trim and paint, just perfect. Interior is very well designed with audio and cruise on steering wheel. Warranty was good but I selected the 7 year, 100,000 mile extended warranty/no deductible for only 817.00. The ride is smooth with the new Michelin Energy tires, with a 440 treadwear rating, A on traction and A on heat. The car is just a fantastic piece of work. Leg room in back is great. Buy it!

I bought a Honda because I drive a lot and I wanted good reliable transportation. The car has a great transmission shifts very smooth. It also has very good pickup for a 4 cylinder engine.

Honda rock solid build and fun to drive for 18K. Camry looks stodgy compared to Accord. Mazda 6 is sweet looking and driving but smaller, cheaper feeling and doesnt have that Honda reliabilty history backing it up. Altima quicker and perhaps sportier but not nearly as refined and as well screwed together. For 18K you simply cannot beat it.

  • An outstanding car! - 2003 Honda Accord

This car is fantastic. It has great features and drives like a dream. The V6 has some serious giddy-up. I test drove the Passat V-6, Camry V-6 and the Volvo S60 V5, and this car by far has the best pick-up and power. Id highly recommend this car.

Got this car for 600 under invoice. Very well made, inspected the car before picking it up and could not find one defect.

  • 2nd Review - Noisy - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

Well I previously wrote how much I loved my new Accord. However, after about a week the car started rattling and squeaking in several different places. There was one rattle somewhere in the back that was driving me crazy. I took it back to the dealer 3 times before they found out the source. It turns out that a joint in the rear that connects the frame to the body was not connected. They fixed it and I am now noticing the same noise on the other side of the rear. Also the sunroof rattles. I love the performance of the car but all the noises are ruining the enjoyment.

  • Window Noise - 2017 Honda Accord
    By -

I have had my car for only a few months. From the start, the front passenger window sounds like it is not shut tight. Makes an air leak sound. I took it back to the dealer because I could no longer take that sound. We travel long distances and after a few hours this noise become extremely aggravating. The dealer took it out for a drive. He then came back and said that he too heard the sound. He then took another Honda out for a drive. This one too made the same sound. He said it appears to come from the front edge trim. He then said there was nothing they could do. That, I would just have to accept it. This is unacceptable for a new car to have a defect. Needless to say, I was not in a happy place after he told me that. Even my husband was taken aback from the lack of a solution. I am now in the process of demanding a fix or give my money back. We will see what happens. Recommendation, take the car out for a test at a speed of at least 60 mph before buying this car.
