Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Great car - 2011 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my 3rd Honda, my last two I had for over 10 years each. I bought this because of the reliability and low maintence costs. I love the car, just wish the cabin was quieter. Not sure why people are complaining about the seats, they are comfortable. If you want a luxury car, then spend $30,000 or more for a car, or spend more time driving and checking out the car before you buy it. I do wish it came with a USB port, that should be standard these days.

  • Good Value - 2011 Honda Accord
    By -

I have only owned the car a few days but have already been pleased with the comfortable drive and overall handling of the car. I have looked at a number of cars in this class (Camry, Fusion and Sonata) and think this was the best value given its reputaion for reliability and the strong dealer support (Commonwealth Motors, Lawrence).

  • Honda does it again! - 2011 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my 4th Honda. I love the solid feel of a Honda. It feels different than anything else on the road. Ive had the Accord Coupe for about a month now. It drives about like I expected - super, but the big surprise has been the interior space. I am 62" and from the front seat, the cabin spreads up, out and down and envelopes me in comfort. The handling and braking are outstanding, and acceleration for a 4-cylinder is very nice. The complaint some have about the buttons is something I dont understand. I had them figured out in a day. But yeah, if you want big, toy-like dials, this isnt the car for you. Great trunk space and visibility for a coupe too.

  • Bad transmissions - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

Starting at 35K I serviced the transmission every 15k at the dealers recommendation. About three years ago while the car was still in warranty I complained to the dealer about the car shifting had and jerking at stops when cold, the dealer said that was normal and didnt write it on the service ticket and said it was almost due for a trans fluid service. Now the transmission is lurching at stops and stalling in intersections. Honda has offered very little in the way of assistance and jacks up to price of the replacement transmission to compensate. Essentially they make you do an abnormal amount of costly service to keep their defective transmission working while in warranty.

  • I HATE THIS CAR!!! - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I hate this car and this has been the worst car buying experience ever. My first car note and Im so unhappy. This was my first "supposedly new" Honda. I had two in the past that were excellent. The brakes are bad, bad, bad!!! I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone!!! I participated in the class action law suit and received a refunds after having brakes changed four times. I purchased my car in March 2009 and Ive spent entirely too much time the dealership and of course, brakes are not covered under the warranty. Im so disappointed with this car and would like something else.

  • Practically Bulletproof!!! - 1991 Honda Accord
    By -

I love this car! I bought this car new late 90 and its been a daily driver for over 20 years. I put 225,000 miles on it, changed the oil every 5,000 miles and other routine maintainence. I had a few oddball things I had to replace from time to time but nothing horrible. It still has the original clutch! I actually had to buy a muffler a few years back, and I was so use to nothing ever giving out on the car that I kind of resented it! This car never left me on the side of the road and it started every time I turned the key! The seats have no tears, dash is without cracks, electric windows and sunroof still work. Just traded it for a certified pre-owned 07 Accord with 31,000 miles. Rock on!

  • ++MPG, Reliable, Cheap repairs - 1998 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car in 08 @ 132k miles. I still have the car today and it runs, drives, and looks just as good as it did the day i got it. I have been reading alot of posts saying that they have had engine, tranny, and paint issues, and i havnt experienced any of those issues (knock on wood). However, i do my oil changes, tranny and coolant flushes, and i wash my car every week to preserve the paint and underbody. If you take care of your car, it will treat your right in return. Definately would reccomend for college student and long commuters. Only thing i have ever had to fix was a CV shaft and wheel bearing, which ended up costing me less than $100 combined.

  • Better than my 99 EX-L?? - 1992 Honda Accord
    By -

This has got to be the best honda Ive owned!! I owned a 99 EX-L in the early 2000s. It was a 5 speed too, but it had more room and leather/wood trim. This one is 7 years older, yet has everything that car has except the leather/wood! I only paid $1500 for this car in September of 2010. I paid $15,000 for my 99 in 2001. Even though it isnt a vtec either, there was only an 8hp difference from the 99. Im still stumped on which one is better!! lol. My 92 has 258k on it, and the 99 had 191k on it when i sold it in 06... Ive owned 5 accords in my life (3 91s, 92, 99) but the 92 and 99 exs stand out! When I finish school, I plan on an 06-07 V6 sedan 6spd!

  • Perhaps my best Accord! - 1993 Honda Accord
    By -

I just posted yesterday, but I still have more things to say! I drove my 93 EX today and noticed that it just might be better than the 99 EX-L I owned in the early 2000s! My 93 may not be as big and comfortable, but its definitely on par with that 99!! The 5 speed brings all 142 horses to life and the styling still holds up today! I have a factory cd player in there and the factory speakers still thump! I know the car is nearly 20 years old, but next to this car and the legend, name another 18-20 year old car that looks this good... Exactly.

  • A/C Problems - 2011 Honda Accord
    By -

I am a loyal Honda customer, having owned driven Honda for the last eleven years, and currently being a 2 Honda household. I traded in my 2000 Accord last fall for a 2010 Accord. Other than the sluggish performance of the base 4 cyl engine, I have been generally pleased with the car until today. I recently noticed that my air conditioner was not cooling the vehicle. When I took it into the dealer, they said that a rock had popped through the grill and punctured a small hole in the condensor. This type of environmental damage is not covered under warranty, and I owe $769 to replace the condensor on my brand new car. American Honda was no help either. I have read of similar complaints b
