Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Instead of Camry - 2008 Honda Accord
By Daveboy - October 11 - 1:46 amI cant believe the room. At 65 it is very comfortable. Ride is smooth though road noise is a little excessive. Truly enjoy and appreciate all of the features that came standard. Very satisfied after 5 months. We love to drive it and we are averaging about 28 mpg (combined city/highway).

Noisy Bumpy Ride - 2006 Honda Accord
By netrick - October 10 - 6:36 pmI am very disappointed with the noisy and bumpy ride – it is atrocious, especially on concrete freeways. Why wasn’t this issue reported in the other reviews, including the professional reviews? I think Honda should have stuck to making motorcycles!

Trusted Old Friend - 1993 Honda Accord
By flagirl1964 - October 10 - 10:00 amI bought the car new, and was looking for a reliable vehicle. I havent been disappointed. In the 9 years it has been driven, I can count on one hand the number of times it has refused to go (battery twice and starter once). The interior has held up well, but the paint shows signs of age--hurried along by exposure to weather and a detailer who power buffed the finish. Now the clearcoat is peeling. Ive kept up with the preventive maintenance, so at 157,000 miles it is still mechanically sound.

Used to be more comfortable for the driver - 2016 Honda Accord
By AlexT - October 8 - 2:22 pmAs compared to my 2005 Honda Accord V6 EX, I found following is a step down in the new 2016 model: 1) side door storage compartment used to be 2.5 times larger. now, it can barely fit 2 bottles of water. this reduction applies to all doors on all new models. see 2016 MDX doors for space comparison, which is similar to what i have in my old car. 2) the space on the door where the window meets the panel and where the driver used to be able to put his arm is now half in width and therefore it is now hard to keep your hand there without slipping, making the whole experience frustrating. 3) the control clusters on the doors are now tilted forward and down a little bit, so if you used to place your arm there to support yourself from rolling forward when hard braking, you would find it no longer helps and your arm may slide forward thereby loosing your grip. 4) the steering wheel is no longer ribbed n the borrom for your fingers and is just plain smooth surface. this as well as the material used in the older model was what made the driving experience so good, but not anymore. the new material feels like a softer cheaper replacement covered in chalk and making your hands slide. 5) the console buttons are now gone and are replaced with touchscreen. in my opinion this is yet another mistake. the single central circular button was the most useful thing in the whole entertainment system. it was quick and simple, without requiring the driver to take eyes off the road. the replacement of key functions with touchscreen i think is another mistake, but i am sure they will find that out when its too late and customer are put off by the ignorance and hype of touchscreens. 6) yet another issue is the center console. it used to slide out and extend forward to allow the driver to place his right arm and provide arm relief. does not extend anymore and is fixed instead. the space in the console has been reduced in half and no longer has an additional 12volt outlet. 7) the center console as well as couple of other parts are accented with shiny and reflective black plastic. these will need to be constantly cleaned and are prone to scratches just like a cell phone screen. honda has no alternate materials selections available, and in comparison to all the previously muted out silver accents, this was a fairly stupid decision. on my phone i can put a screen protector to prevent scratches, in the car however there is no such thing and your are limited with making customizing those pieces with vinyl. 8) lastly, older models had driver seat controls which could tilt the seat front to back just a little bit, maybe 1-5 degrees. the new controls do not have that option and instead you are limited with seat up/down, forward/backward options instead. Overall, seems like Honda is going a bit backwards with their features, rather than improving them year after year. Instead they deliver trivial things like MP3 and Bluetooth, reduce usability and comfort. With the car rising in price, I would expect that it would at the very least remain with same or similarly comfortable interior and entertainment system or be improved for the better; however, it seems opposite is true.

Best Accord so far- - 2004 Honda Accord
By NJDiver - October 7 - 10:00 amThis is my 5th Honda Accord since 89 -Great mileage (27 city with only 500 miles on the car), safety features including side curtian bags standard this year with leather. Lots of room in the back seats, great ride and all the things that makes it a relaxing, safe car to spend the day in. I looked and drove the Acura TSX, Volvo S40 and S60, Maxima, Passat and this is by far the better value and has more room and features at a lower price and the Accord doesnt require premium gas like the other cars I test drove. All my Hondas have been very reliable and my 94 EX Accord with 143,000 miles is now my sons and trouble free with just normal oil, brakes etc.

Honda Accord LX review - 2004 Honda Accord
By Edmunds - October 7 - 10:00 amVery well desinged car, that is quite economical. Unfortunately, the body is very poorly put together and the car has multiple noises that the dealership is currently working on. Fit and finish are also decidedly below expectations. It is as if the car has never gone through any quality control at the factory and I had a list of about 5 different items that had to be taken care off after the purchase of the vehicle...

Its all good! - 2004 Honda Accord
By Silver Beauty - October 7 - 10:00 amForget about the Camry. Forget about the "Psssssssst." This stylish Accord has sleek lines, curves, and a redefined rear-end. Top it off with the NAVI and XM and youre all set. The NAVI encompasses state-of-the-art technology in an easy-to-use format. The TL is nice, but do you really want to shell out the extra bucks? With almost 30MPG on a 240-HP V6, this car is fuel efficient, yet loaded with power.

Excellent Car! - 2007 Honda Accord
By Happy Honda Owner - October 6 - 9:26 pmI have owned my 4-cylinder EX-L w/Nav since July 07, and I have been very happy with it. I hope this new car will be as trouble-free and reliable as my two previous Hondas. The fit and finish of this car is excellent - no cheap-feeling or cheesy-looking materials. The leather feels durable and supple. The instrument panel is easy to see and all of the controls are within easy reach and are easy to operate. The car has plenty of get-up- and go - no problem getting up to freeway speed or accelerating to pass cars. The ride on both the street and the freeway are very smooth and solid. Great fuel economy: 33 mpg highway.

It looks good, but thats it - 2009 Honda Accord
By abray006 - October 3 - 3:50 amI bought this car back in March and got a heck of a deal, but I have been very disappointed by the quality, noise, and most of all the VCM technology. This car looks awesome from the outside and has decent interior, but Honda needs to go back to a simple engine and have a 6 speed automatic for fuel economy. The VCM is constantly hunting and car jerks when its coming to a stop. The automatic transmission cant keep up with a sporty drive and the handling is to tight for my taste. I was sold on looks and should have gotten into a more solid all around car.

First Car - 2008 Honda Accord
By Mrs. P - October 1 - 12:33 pmSon just graduated from college and chose this car for his first car purchase. Its a black beauty with comfy leather seats. Interior very high end, exterior very upscale look. I like the coupe style better than sedan. Having previously owned two Lexus vehicles, I think this is a comparable car at a much better price. Also, Im impressed with all the safety features. Sound system is great too. Now Im jealous of my sons car, maybe Ill part with my 2001 Subaru Forester and get myself a Honda!!
