Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

I dont know how Honda keeps doing it. Some how they manage to improve the Accord with every body change. This car has the power and feel of a luxury sedan costing $7K-$10K more. Gas mileage is better than any car in its class.

This is the third Honda I have owned and I have good luck - until now. This particular car has wind noise and squeaks in the moon roof, the radio console has a rattling sound, the hood latch that you pull to open the hood broke off,and a bolt came off the driver side seat. Hondas make a great car and I have loved the ride, quality of workmanship, virtually everything about an Accord. I have had it to the dealership two times- and it still has problems. The last time it rained hard the moon roof leaked- a small amount- but still leaked. I am beginning to wonder if I got a lemon. Oh, yes, after the last time they worked on it my clock light doesnt work.

I bought this with 32k miles 6 months ago the V4. This is a very fine car runs smooth and the 4 cylinders have plenty of pep. Honda makes great vehicles and although the 6 cylinder would be great the 4 is plenty of power with 145 hp

This is my second Honda. I wanted to have more fun driving so chose the EX- L with a 5 speed 4 cyl engine. The auto version was just too dull and slow. The gas mileage is amazing. Coming from a 2001 Accord coupe EX V6 I can see the improvements but I have some complaints too (see below). Over all I like the way the car feels and the handling is greatly improved. I shopped everything before deciding on this car. Im tall and could not fit comfortably in most cars. Thanks to telescope steering and the power seat the Honda won.

New Accord has bad wind noise. The rear defroster doesnt seem to work when theres snow on the window. Dealer said theres nothing wrong w/defroster. They didnt check the wind noise. Ive owned 3 Honda Accords. This one is a disappointment. The dealers have not been good in terms of service.

  • Poor seat design - 2009 Honda Accord

Ive driven the car for 2.5K mile and is still searching for a comfortable seating position. This never happen in any cars Ive own before. I wont buy Honda anymore no matter how reliable it is.

  • This car saved my life! - 2009 Honda Accord

I was struck on my drivers side by a drunk driver going 50mph three weeks ago and I emerged without a scratch! This car is built like a tank (she was driving a Volvo). I LOVE this car and have thoroughly enjoyed it for the last 18 months. Its very eye-catching -- I catch people staring into it when its parked and theyre always shocked to learn its an accord (I bought the red -- so pretty). Yes, Im really this shallow... The ONLY thing I would suggest changing is the controls for the heat. Its hard for me to reach the heater control without having to lean way over. But, thats virtually the ONLY thing I would change.

First set of brakes went at 12,500; think Landmark took me since Im now at over 50K on my second set (done by my favorite service station) and still going strong). Have to be careful since there is a lot of horses under the hood; first speeding ticket since I been driving. The brakes have really saved me when fools in front of me stop for no reason whatsoever.

  • This is a Honda? - 2003 Honda Accord

It seems Honda put all their R&D into the sedan and ignored the coupe. Problems Ive seen include bubbling side window trim, interior rattles, and random hard starting engine with plausible deniability from Honda (my money thinks Honda knows about the problem, but would go lose too much recalling that many vehicles. No way they wouldnt know would some many vocal drivers complaining about the same issue.) And to boot, this NEW car came with a unbalanced tire that loved pulling the car to either direction, To their credit, the car is fast, feels luxurious, and is priced very competitively. Steering feels good, but car feels heavy during quick turns.

  • Elegant, Refined, Perfect - 2004 Honda Accord

After reading many reviews of family sedans, I narrowed my choices to the Mazda 6, the Toyota Camry, and the Honda Accord. After test-driving all three cars, I chose the Accord. From the in-dash 6-disc CD changer to the remote-transmitter/key combination, this car has it all. The alloy wheels look great and the Eternal Blue Pearl color has an upscale feel. The interior is quiet and there are convenience features everywhere. While the Mazda 6 has a sporty drive feeling, it is not as smooth as the Accord with its Honda engine. Shifting is seamless and engine noise is minimal. You cant top this car in the family sedan segment.
