Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Reliability with minor complaints - 1998 Honda Accord
By housencarnut - December 6 - 10:00 amBought car based on reputation of quality/reliability. Past 2 cars were Toyotas. Although not Toyota quality, was pleased with look of interior. Woodgrain dash applique, wood/leather steering wheel and after market white face gauges dress up interior. Added Honda fog lights, trunk lid chrome strip and stainless exhaust tips at half cost of dealer when purchased online. Biggest complaint: durability of paint. When purchased paint was glossy and 22 months later roof and hood have foggy white spots, spreading at alarming rate. Also after washing and drying with 100% cotton towel, paint looks "scratched". Have to wax to remove these EVERY TIME!

fine car - 2004 Honda Accord
By antatrumo - December 6 - 10:00 amI just purchased my 2004 blcak ex-l. I am very impressed with this car. Our last accord was a new black ex-l in late 2000 which was traded in 1 year later for a 2002 honda odyssey. Amont the previously unavailable features of the older accords, the new tan leather interior in very luxurious, and the wood inserts are very tasteful. we are very happy with this beautiful car, and this is our 5th honda automobile in the last 6 years.

Nice car - 2008 Honda Accord
By royalty - December 6 - 1:36 amTraded a 2007 Azera Limited in on 2008 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L with nav. Black exterior and black interior are gorgeous. Get tons of compliments on the car. So far quite pleased. I am sure the V6 would have been a lot faster but with the price of gas I am happy with the 190HP 4cyl. Not a rocket but still fairly quick. The stereo is excellent. Nav works well. Comfy seats. Very good ride and handling - much better than the 2007 models. The only complaint I have is the intrusive headrest which Honda needs to improve. Hyundai has a front-to-back adjustable headrest that ratchets to the position most comfortable for each rider and it is the only item superior to that in the Honda.

Wrong size tires - 2006 Honda Accord
By Ron Obranovich - December 5 - 11:56 pmThis vehicle is equipped with the wrong size tires if youre looking for a car with a great ride. You feel every bump and even the smallest crack in the road. The tires on this Accord V-6, are the P215/50 R17 93V All-Season. After consulting with the tire manuf., they indicated to me in writing that these tires "will lack ride comfort, but give you more performance handling, this tire selected by Honda." Im 62 yrs old and assumed the 2006 Honda would give a better ride and tire performance. The local Honda dealer refuses to swap the tires, and now Im stuck with an $28,000 vehicle that lacks a comfortable ride.

Reliable car - 2012 Honda Accord
By Donna - December 1 - 7:30 pmI have owned this car for 4 yrs. Very reliable, rides smooth, steers very well especially turning sharp for parking, runs great and good gas mileage. Only con to this car...the seats are very uncomfortable, especially on long rides, even using the lumbar support doesnt help. So if looking for comfort rule it out, but a very good car

Best Car I have ever owned - 2007 Honda Accord
By RIck - December 1 - 4:56 pmI drove and owned my first Honda in 1987. Since then, I have owned a variety of different cars with the last one being a 2003 Honda Accord. I decided to purchase the new 2007 4 cyl Ex-L with Navigation after much research of the luxury car market. In the end, the overall quality, price and performance blew me away. Both the interior as well as exterior are fantastic and people I know who drive Mercedes and Lexus can not beleive that Honda could produce a car of this quality for under $30K. From top to botom taking everything into consideration, this is the best vehicle I have ever owned.

Accord Advocate - 2001 Honda Accord
By Accord Addict - December 1 - 9:56 amPurchased in 5/04 with only 16K miles. Have put on 17K in 8 months. Had to replace drivers window regulator, but other than that no issues. Very dependable, peppy, fun to drive. Looking for another car now for my daughter and Accords are at the top of the list.

Too much fun for a 4-cyl - 2007 Honda Accord
By CHIEF - November 30 - 10:20 pmI have 1300 miles on the car and I am impressed with the ride. The drive train tends to whine when put under pressure, but the engine is top of its class. I am not sure why you would buy the 6-cyl when the i4 is so peppy and quiet at hwy speeds. I get 26 mpg around town with the manual. I think this is the best buy hands down.

Transmission problems - 1998 Honda Accord
By wlk - November 30 - 2:00 amAt 56000 miles the transmission is slipping when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. The check engine light will come on with a code indicating the transmission has a fault. Seems to be a design problem that Honda admitted to in 2000-2002 but not 1998 and 1999. Dont buy one unless you get the transmission checked out. The cost for a new transmission id $4000!!! Ouch!!! I am trading mine in. Hopefully none of the readers will buy it!!! The Odessey with the V6 is having the same problem. I was at the dealer getting mine evaluate and someone was there with the same oriblem on her Odessey.
