Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Better than my old Lexus - luxurious & sporty! - 2017 Honda Accord

Do your comparisons - Accord really stands alone. My salesperson TJ Troutman at Sport Honda is exceptional.

  • Right off the truck! - 2018 Honda Accord

Compared the 2017 and 2017 Honda Accords and went with the 2018 based on a few things. First was MPG, the 2018 is rated at 35 Highway vs 27 for the 2017. Sure, dropping to a 4-cylinder helped, but performance is just fine. 2018 has a LOT more leg room and storage since they expanded the wheelbase. Trim is nicer and technology is better. Gone are the rightside video cams - replaced with the blindspot warning signals. Radio/Navigation controls are much larger and more visible and easier to view. Overall, the 2018 won out over the 2017. My disappointment was I now have to buy PREMIUM gasoline so the MPG savings is eaten up by gas price increase. A bit disappointed with the connectivity to my iphone and the console. Some functions connect via bluetooth while others need a physical hard wire USB connection. Thats just annoying. I like the lane departure function as well as the Adaptive Cruise Control which lets me set a speed and distance to the car in front of me - VERY nice on a highway full of cars. The radio/navigation display, though VERY large can be a distraction when youre trying to go from one thing (navigation) to another (radio). Lots of buttons to discern and takes your eyes off the road. Thank goodness for that lane departure safety feature! The auto climate control never seems to be happy. I set it at a temperature (70) and I feel cold air blowing at times and warm at others. Riding comfort is fantastic with the heated and COOLED leather seats! I run hot, so I REALLY wanted the cooling seats which pushed me over the top to go with the touring package. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and hope I get the 9+ years that I got out of my Honda Civic!

  • No Regrets - 1999 Honda Accord

I bought my Accord EX with 35,000 miles on it from a dealer. Never have I ever second guessed this decision. It was like I bought a new car. I drive 150 miles a day to and from work, and this is the prefect car for anyone who is looking for a car that is sporty (I got the 5-Speed) and comfortible. This Accord is as comfortible on the highway as it is on the backroads. The engine does not scream at all at high speeds, it just provides a great ride, and good gas mileage for its class. I plan to keep this car as long as I can becuase I have yet to see or hear of anything better out there. You will not regret buying this car.

I previously owned a 96Â’ Passat. Once it reached 100k miles, it seemed that any little thing that could go wrong didÂ… except for the engine. I chose the 03Â’ Accord over the Passat primarily for reliability. Of course, if it were not for the new body style I would have never considered the car. IÂ’ve had the car for almost two weeks and enjoying it very much.

  • Best of the Mid-Size - 2003 Honda Accord

Driven only a few weeks but extremely satisfied. Look forward to driving on trip---acceleration, handling, steering. comfort, navi system, all top drawer. No problems to date and absolutely love the car. Looked at Maxima, Lexus ES300, Camry XLE,BMW, and Mercedes C series.all having plus and minuses. Bottom line---the Accord EX V6 can stay will all of them for up to $10,000 less hit on the wallet.

  • unreliable with poor service! - 2003 Honda Accord

Owned car for 3 weeks/600 miles. Taken to shop twice for a/c problems. The SECOND visit found a leak in the system and parts are on nationwide backorder. Will not have car for weeks. Dealer refusing to provide loaner or rental. Purchased at Sierra Honda of Monrovia, and also taken there for first repair (which was inadequate). Now sitting at Honda of Santa Monica.

  • Most Annoying Honda to Drive - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

Weve had our 2008 Honda Accord V-6NAVL for over a year now. The dealership has been unable to correct the vibration and noise that occurs at certain speeds (e.g., 25 mpg, 35 mph, 45 mph). It seems to be a combination of the transmission upshifting too soon and the engine. The sound and vibration is very similar to what happens when a manual transmission is shifted into a higher gear at a too low rpm. The result is that the noise and vibration make the car annoying to drive at certain speeds. Love the car design inside and out. Hate the engine and transmission. Just waiting to dump the car after 2 years.

  • Ugh... - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I was expecting this car to be quality. Hah I was so wrong. Obtrusive brake noise after 300 miles and the dealer said its part of the design. Actually a customer was right behind complaining about her brakes too. Seats felt like they were made from steel or something because my backside fell asleep every time I drove more then 30 miles. Dash was ugly and the only pleasant thing I can offer for this car was the design is not bad.
