Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

TWO TIME WINNER-ONE TIME LOSER - 2003 Honda Accord
By E GULLEY - January 24 - 10:00 amTHIS CAR IS THE CLASSIEST OF ALL TH E HONDAS IVE OWNED. BECAUSE OF SOME PREVIOUS PROBLEMS I HAD WITH MY 2000 ACCORD V6, I WAS RELUCTANT TO BUY ANOTHER HONDA, BUT I AM GLAD I DID. IT HAS THE FEEL OF A LUXURY CAR, BUT MODERATELY PRICED. I ADDED SOME EXTRA FEATURES THAT MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A VERY EXPENSIVE CAR.

A - 2001 Honda Accord
By hubble - January 24 - 10:00 amIf you are looking at this review, you too need reliable family transportation. You know that the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry are above all competitors in terms of design, quality and reliability. But the Accord is much more fun to drive, especially when you drive much faster than you really should in a family sedan. If you like to drive and need a family sedan, drive an Accord and a Camry and feel the difference yourself. Then decide which to buy.

AVOID HONDAs - ENGINE RUNS BUT OUTSIDE ROTS AWAY - 2003 Honda Accord
By HondaOwnerNOmore - January 21 - 10:03 pmI am shopping for a new car but will NEVER buy another vehicle made by HONDA. I purchased my car new in 2003 and had it service by Honda; however, no one ever mentioned why my car was starting to look splotchy. As the splotchiness got worse and worse, I searched online and found out that HONDA has a KNOWN PAINT DEFECT and refuses to acknowledge it and has even fought consumer in court using technicalities to get cases thrown out. SHAME on HONDA. When I finally understood what was happening, my HONDA ACCORD was just out to warrantly and I asked the HONDA service manager "why did you never tell me that this was happening to the paint since it is a KNOWN issue. The HONDA service manager got mad at me !!!! I never went back and, now, that I am searching for a new car, I tell everyone that I will NEVER even consider another HONDA vehicle and I tell everyone WHY. This is my payback to HONDA for treating their customers so poorly by knowing that they sold defective merchandise then not acknowledging it and fixing it at their cost. Again, SHAME on HONDA. Personally, I recommend staying away from Honda vehicles since what good is a car that runs but rots from the outside?

Best Car Ever! - 2006 Honda Accord
By tulip1924 - January 19 - 1:36 pmI absolutely love this car. It is reliable, runs so smoothly and looks fantastic. The only thing I really do not like is the fabric used on the seats. Everything sticks to it, and they can be hard to clean. But other than that, this is one of the best cars out there for your dollar.

Brakes Squeal All the time - 2009 Honda Accord
By geibelkj - January 18 - 9:46 amI would not recommend this car. My 2009 accord has 6000 miles and I have painfully squealed my way there. I have been to the dealer 4 times for buffing the rotors, replacing the rotors, replacing the front brake pads and each time after a few days the loud piercing squeal is back. Called American Honda Cust Service and they say that they are unaware of any problems. The dealer says there isnt a problem and that brakes do make a little noise. (I can hear it over my radio blasting, trying to drown it out!!!) This has been a horrible experience and I will not purchase from Honda again.

6 Repairs and counting - 2003 Honda Accord
By Petri - January 17 - 10:00 amI loved this car when I bought it but the past year has been one repair after another. I started having problems at 5,000 miles and the car has been in the shop 6 times in all. Some of the problems have been minor but still serious enough to take the car in for repairs. The rotars got replaced at 7,000 miles and repaired again at 14,000. Well see if the pattern hold and it goes in at 21k. The car is in the shop today and the dealer has a list of about 6 things that need fixed!

GREAT Value! - 2004 Honda Accord
By Hesham - January 17 - 10:00 amI fell in love with this car ever since I saw the spy photos more than a year ago. I took it out for a test- drive and it went up and beyond my expectations. It rides like a dream and, for a 4-cylinder, its pretty quick! Its Euro-like interior and comfortable leather seats makes you feel like you got WAY more than what you paid for. If youre looking to get a car in this class, you definitely cant go wrong with the Accord. I used to own a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant, Ive driven the Toyota Camry, and Ive test- driven the Mazda 6; None of them compare to the Accord.
