Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

When you drive an Accord, your biggest worry.. is getting doorbashed by the coupe you park next to... and that is really, really nice. The car is common, but I personalized it, getting a white one with leather and 4-cyl manual trans (makes a smallish, economical engine quite zippy and fun). I putting on some patriotic license plate frames... its Accord heaven.

Purchased to replace 2007 Nissan Maxima, also test drove 2007 Camry V6SLE which was very comparable. Honda feels more solid & I prefer styling (although that is very subjective). Now have 3,200 miles with no problems of any kind. Mileage on 1800 mile trip 28.2 driving 65 to 75 mph in fairly heavy interstate traffic. High of 31 on one slower segment. Like the XM radio and related controls as well as the dual mode automatic air conditioning. Very comfortable and roomy front seats for long trip. Very satisfied with this car.

  • BEST BUY - 2016 Honda Accord

The smooth ride & economy + its history of dependence make it a car for smart people. Every time you drive next to an Accord the person inside is smart. The car makes a lot of sense for its price. But most importantly its reliability should be appreciated the most. The only week point I think is its sound system, a bit dull.

Nine hundred miles; excellent reliability and good acceleration for a four cylinder. The car is a very good value.

This is my 9th Honda Accord sedan. I love the car. The only wart is the ride at times. 90% of the time the ride is good enough-handling is good. 10% of the time when the road is bad, the ride is very rough. But I can live that. The most important issue is transmission performance to me. There is no delay that it makes it an unsafe vehicle like some other cars. I owed an upscale Honda product-Acura TLX. Mine was of 2015 vintage with 4,300 mile when I sold it in September 2016 and I only owned it for a year. I did not feel safe driving it. A variant of the 6 cylinder with the 9 speed ZF was the powertrain. That transmission strangled the 290 horsepower, and the VCM on top of the 9 speed completely neutered the Acura in question. The transmission shifted erratically and 4th gear took too long to engage. The Accord is not for everybody but for my being an Accord fan it is A- and just great. I got this car as a Honda certified with 6,300 miles for with a pre-tax price within + or - 4% of trade-in value. Clean CarFax and AutoCheck accident free. In service date of 1/12/16 - thus, 7 yr Certified warranty ends Jan 2023. I got a wraparound First Automotive warranty that expires same day as Honda 7 year that includes a ton more components than the Honda 7 year powertrain warranty for a nominal amount. The dealership that I purchased the car from was Rick Roush in Medina, Ohio. The sales personnel, Tyler Roush and Tracy Hammond, were extremely helpful and did an outstanding job. A recent listing for a used identical vehicle in a different color was originally listed with a Ford dealer at $28,476-way too high a price. This Ford dealer just reduced it after a few days to $26,810 for a non-Honda certified vehicle-a fair price but not a great price. I did extremely well in my purchase of this car. Again my hat off to Rick Roush Honda.

  • One of the best cars - 2005 Honda Accord

Owned this car for 9 years. Minimal maintenance. If you want one that drives great and lasts long, get the 7th generation. Still many strong 7th gens out there. Just make sure to change your transmission fluid more often.

  • Love my Honda - 2008 Honda Accord

I have leased a BMW 5 series, an Audi A6, an Audi allroad and an Infiniti M35X since 1998 and my new Accord beats them all. Its roomy, my 4 cyl has enough power, my MPG is best ever, and its got looks. its the real package folks!

  • Jusr for the color! - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

I had a 92 one before and when I wanted to change my car, I directly went to a Honda dealership. because LX doesnt come in red color, I got the SE. it doesnt have anything more than LX in performance but I love the alloy wheels and audio system. strange thing is that, in cold weather, the car is not as smooth as it is in the warm weather! specially when its cold, there are some rattle sounds from dashboard that dealer said its normal!
