Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Do I have a Lemon? - 2004 Honda Accord

The car is good (when not in service) and fun to drive. After three months of ownership I had to take it to the dealer three times within days to get the battery and alternator replaced. After a while the power to the lighter was gone. Now it is sitting on the dealers lot for a new starter. I think this car has an electrical problem. I am thinking of selling this car before the warrenty expires. Six trips to service in little over a year is just too much.

  • No Better Car for the Dollar - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

No other car Ive owned or driven combines so many great qualities at the price. Have owned 4 VW/Audi products; drove Infiniti, BMW, Acura, the usual suspects. All fine cars, but I now question why the others command such a premium. Interior quality on par with Audi, engine/tranny as smooth as BMW. Handling not as razor-sharp as the Germans, but below 9/10ths youll never miss it. Styling looks better in person than pictures; not flashy, but handsome and understated. Ive seen several people checking it out while parked. Not a car for hard-edged performance, but quick, luxurious, a pleasure to drive, and an amazing value.

  • Great Car - 2004 Honda Accord

Only complaint is that the coupe is only different than the sedan on the outside. I wish there was a sportier version of the automatic. Wheres the sport shift they sell on every acura? also there are some rattles that the dealer cant seem to find other than that its a grat car.

  • A solid choice that rattles - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

Bought this as commute workhorse. Very refined feel. Smooth auto shifting and loves getting on freeway. Great ergo layout. Comfy front seats. Get one hell of a car for the price. That being said, I have had center compartment, back door panel replaced under warrenty because of poor fit. Also had back power window replaced because of terrible sound when in use. Several rattles and chirps in cabin when driving. Makes me crazy. Stereo also rattles interior at moderate level. Also, doesnt hold road thru fast corners real well. I think its the pinner tires. But no doubt I will be driving this trouble free well after it is paid off.

  • Excellent daily-use - 2001 Honda Accord
    By -

Bought in for 3 years and I never experience a single break-down. The only things I spent are the scheduled maintainences, oil changes, and thats all! However, do not expect it to be too sporty because of the soft suspension setting that aims for daily- use comfort. Yet, highly recommanded with its built quality and reliability.

  • Happy at 5000 Miles - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

Just passed the 5000 mile mark with about half city and half highway driving. Gas mileage has been improving and is now consistently 29 hwy/22 city. Transmission shifting and VCM woes cited by some other buyers have smoothed out. So far, a noticeable improvement over my 98 Accord, which was a gem. Drives and handles well for a mainstream sedan, and it should be evaluated on this basis. If you want sports sedan handling and performance, then pay much more and buy a true sports sedan! Exterior with white diamond pearl resembles a BMW 525 series for thousands less.

  • Going Greener with Some Style - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

A first look for the curious...My initial gas mileage is around 29 mpg for in town (60% highway/ 40% city). Powerful engine but if you have a lead foot dont expect to get the mpg also. You can slightly feel the engine kick between ECO (three cylinder operation) and the full six. You should test drive it (at operating temp.) and feel for this. Engine shuts down on stops (at op. temp.) unless you like or need to constantly creep forward. Youll feel the slight vibration on restart, but I enjoy the reminder Im not sitting and idling. My driving style is changing to match the capacity of the car (looking for the ECO light). Power-excellent; handling-good; interior-very good. More later?

  • Dont Buy This Car! - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I would not recommend this car to anyone I know. I regret the day that I traded in my Honda Civic for this car. I have 50,000 miles on the car and nothing but problems with it. I am hoping to trade it in soon. The air conditioner went just after the warranty expired and cost $900 to fix. Now it makes a grinding sound everytime you turn it on. Brake sensors have gone bad, drivers window motor has been replaced 2 times already. The wheel cylinders have gone. The car used to have lots of pickup and was fun to drove but now it struggles up hills. Also, interior is cheap. Carpet is pulling up already and the plastic scratches very easily. The paint also is chipped more than it should.

  • okay car - 2016 Honda Accord

I wish that I researched this car more. I had to get seat cushions because the seat was not comfortable, it was hurting my back. I had to get pedal extenders because I was sitting to close to the wheel and i couldnt reach the gas comfortable and adjust the wheel comfortably. I like the climate control and the fact that I sit high and its roomy. I am getting used to the car and now I do like the car after all these adjustments. I just hope I wont have car problems like I am reading that people have.

  • Wow. Great car. - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

We also own a 2008 Accord EXL navi sedan, and so we can tell how big a jump Honda has made in several areas of this car. First, the 2013 Accord is *quiet*—which is a first for the Accord. Second, the new engine is more powerful, faster, and yet gets better mpg. Finally, the interior quality is almost Acura-like.
