Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Extraordinary Car - 2004 Honda Accord
By Philip - June 11 - 8:43 amI purchased this car wanting a "sports car" drive and feel, but not wanting to pay the insurance and traffic court costs of a BMW. I got exactly what I wanted and more. This car handles as well or better than a BMW that I previously had, the power of the 240HP V6 is awesome, if a bit late in really pulling it does get you out of the way when you need to. The design of the interior is fabulously layed out. The exterior is very smooth with flowing body lines that cut through the strong Chicago winds like a hot knife through butter. AMAZING CAR!!

A Pretty Good Value - 1997 Honda Accord
By santaman58 - June 11 - 2:00 amOur 7th Honda. Overall, we are happy except for the drivers side power window failure that we experienced. Seems many others have the same problem. More road noise than I would like, but the overall value is still good and the dependability is good also. Drive power is adequate and comfort is good. Nice styling, except for the fabric covered side armrest, they would be better in a more cleanable material. Hopefully all these items will be corrected when we purchase our 8th Honda.

1997 Honda Accord SE - 1997 Honda Accord
By KKBama - June 11 - 2:00 amThis Accord was my very first car and is an excellent first car for any high schooler. Its cute and sporty while still being practical and functional, especially on the gas mileage. I bought it at 29,000 and the only problems have been mostly small ones-- the power windows are sometimes slow, the A/C and defogging are sometimes flaky and I also have "phantom locks"-- whenever I lock my car, manually or by remote, the locks continue to make a sound as though they are locking. But I have never had a major problem with my Accord and I always feel safe in it.

No Rear Brakes - 2009 Honda Accord
By Loyal Honda Guy - June 9 - 10:23 amGood handling - solid performance - everything that you would expect from a Honda - my two sons are over 6 feet tall and there is plenty of leg room in the rear. And of course great gas mileage - however, watch out for the rear brakes on this car - I just had the car in for a 15,000 mile service and only had 5% left on the rear brakes - the mechanic told me the brake pad is a 1 inch by 1 inch pad that wears out every 12k-15k miles - Honda claims they are aware of the problem but no recall or service warranty issued by Honda yet? That is why I got rid of my Suburban - undersized brakes for the car - now it seems I have the same problem with a Honda??? Unheard of.

Excellent and Stylish Value - 2017 Honda Accord
By Paul Y. - June 7 - 3:35 amI came from owning a Volvo S60 (and an Acura TL before that) wanting something reliable and practical with a premium edge. The Accord Sport Special Edition provides an amazing value proposition in a stylish package, with many pros and a few cons. I cannot get over the exterior and interior styling; Honda did an excellent job. I love the amount of space throughout the vehicle, including the large trunk, legroom, headroom and other nooks and crannies. The leather upholstery and fit and finish are great. The visibility from the interior to seeing the road all around you is also excellent - way better than my two previous vehicles. I drive a constant mix of city, suburban and interstate environments - handling and ride is a wonderful balance of responsive, agile and refined. The car feels much lighter on the road than its actual size indicates. Turning radius is great - very easy to get around parking garages, parallel spots and city streets. The rear multi-angle camera is super handy in the urban environment. My only complaints are as follows: 1) the sound system and speakers leave much to be desired, 2) sunroof should be included and standard at this price, 3) auto-dimming mirror would be nice, and 4) I personally prefer regular automatic transmissions to the CVT - the undefined gear-shifting can feel strange. Other than that, I am extremely happy with this car.

My First Honda - 2005 Honda Accord
By Karl - June 6 - 8:40 pmI like the car, but I have to agree with one other reviewer. The first thing i noticed was the vibration of the steering wheel and kind of loud engine. That kind of caught me off guard that the steering wheel vibrated - that should NOT happen. And my other immediate concern is the discomfort of the seat, mostly the lumbar area of the back - very concerning since i hope to have this car for many years. Other than that it drives just ok, not as quiet and as smooth as my test drive with its competitor. But overall its a nice car. I bought the car because i like it. I think it has attractive styling and was told that it is a work horse and i tend to keep my cars until they cant drive anymore.
