Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

First car, awesome choice. - 2009 Honda Accord
By Em - July 22 - 4:10 pmIve had my Honda for about a year now and I have never had a single problem with it (Im at about 30,000 miles). Its undeniably the most comfortable car Ive ever driven as well. At just under 6 leg room can be an issue, but not with this car. The seats are also very comfortable. Ive taken this car on a 10 hour road trip and it was perfectly comfortable. I have had some troubles with slipping/ light hydroplaning but only when going around corners (maybe a bit too fast). Also, this car does not like gravel on paved roads. As a younger person I really like the looks of the car. My friends refer to it as the Batmobile and it does get compliments, which is unusual for a Honda!

Awesome - 2006 Honda Accord
By Mike - July 21 - 8:30 pmBoy am I glad I bought this car instead of a V8 Truck with the rising gas prices. I intially started with 29mpg in my first tank. Now that it has broken in a little at 13000 miles I am always over 32mpg with my highest being 35 (600 miles on one tank). I dont baby the car either. I drive a constant 80 mph on the highway yet still mantain this mileage. Its comfortable, quiet, and roomy. I cant wait to see how it is in the snow. My last car was an 88 accord with 270,000 miles on it. It was excellent in the snow.

Good all around car - 2013 Honda Accord
By ethanallen - July 21 - 4:54 pmI put 1100 miles on this great car. It is so easy to drive, with all around visability for safety. Nice inside, with comfortable seats. But it rides like a buckboard. Over 50 MPH, it absorbs bumps well. Around where I live, most of the regular roads are at 45 MPH or less, and all full of patches and repaired cracks. Shock waves are transmitted sharply, and actually make me sea sick. So, I have to drive only on selected routes. The tire pressure is at spec. No rattles, solidly built with quality inisde and out.

I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!! - 2003 Honda Accord
By Erin, Greenville NC - July 19 - 10:00 amFrom the moment I set my eyes on this car, it was love at first sight!! And that was before I even sat in the thing and drove it!!! It is completely loaded except for the Nav. system and V-6 engine, but who needs a V-6 when the 4-Cyl. gets up and goes just as well?? AND has better gas mileage!!!

Driver seat is so uncomfortable - 2008 Honda Accord
By dkalck - July 18 - 7:16 pmI didnt notice it when I did the test drive but after driving the car I realized I really made a big mistake here. The seat is extremely uncomfortable. My back is in pain each time I get out of the car. I have no complaints about anything else. In fact, I love the car just wish Honda wouldnt have made such horrible seats. Seriously, there is a metal plan that will stick right into your back. I called Honda and they said it was there for safety. I think it is just really bad design. Just make sure to take a really long test drive.

New 2017 Accord LX Sedan Overview - 2017 Honda Accord
By Paul S. - July 16 - 6:30 pmIve had my basic Accord LX for a month now. Its a great car for the price: quality, steering, comfort, brakes, climate controls, even the CVT is great. The only issue I have is with the mileage. Im driving mainly at low speeds around the city - and Im averaging 18mpg. According to other owners, the CVT (in reg or econ modes) at low speeds (under 30mph) does not get the advertised 26mpg. I put it in S gear now below 30mph. After I got the speed up - and out on the highway - mpg is right where it should be in re or econ modes. Im happy with the car
