This Year's Model Updates:

As the model was fully redesigned for the 2003 model year, there are only a few changes on the 2004 Honda Accord. Availability of side curtain airbags has been expanded this year to four-cylinder EX models -- standard on those with leather, optional on cars with a cloth interior. All four- and six-cylinder EX models equipped with a leather interior now have XM Satellite Radio with three months of free service as standard equipment. And as with all Honda cars this year, a new seatbelt reminder system is standard. Accord models meeting California's stringent Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards -- all four-cylinder sedans equipped with automatic transmission -- will also be sold in the states of New York, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.

Pros:
  • Tight build quality, quiet cabin, refined and powerful engines, reputation for quality and durability, high crash test scores.
Cons:

  • I love my New Honda - 2004 Honda Accord

I just purchased this car 2 weeks ago. I absolutely love it!! I got the silver with the black leather interior and the navigation system. The silver comes with Chrome & Leather detailing inside instead of the wood grain with Leather. It looks so sleek and expensive. I have had a few cars before but I always end up coming back to Honda! Great performance, great on gas, hugs the road like a BMW. Wouldnt choose anything else!

  • Cant buy a better Sedan - 2004 Honda Accord

If you like the fit when you sit...youll love everything else. The engine and trans combo are second to none. Who needs a V6? I never liked 4cy Autos until Honda put this 5sp Auto with their new 2.4 iVTEC. This is the best all around Sedan you can buy, period. Ive also been approching 40mpg on the interstate...enough said.

  • My Dad picked a nice car - 2004 Honda Accord

Its been 14 years since my dad bought a new car of his own and this Accord is the best he chose. Even tho I havent drove his Accord. The ride is so smooth you dont know when you have braked. Its great for family trips. I love the console, from looking at the 03-04 Camrys console and style, the Accords is the best. Hearing the engine roar and the feeling under your feel, Whoo sounds like the cars in my PS2 Game. The v-6 uses regular gas also!, I dream of the coupe version of this car.

  • Exceptional Value - 2004 Honda Accord

My wife and I have owned both domestic and Japanese cars. We finally settled down on Hondas (Accord and Odyssey) due to "early retirement" of other brands. In March, we were considering a replacement for an aging (1990) Accord and looking at primarily an entry level luxury car (G35, TL, RL, and the likes). We couldnt decide which one to buy until coming across 2004 Accord with EX-L trim. It has all the options we are looking for with a price about 10K less. The deal was made quickly with the help of Internet. After owning it for 2 months, we put 4k on it. The Accord delivers much more than we expected, and is expected to last for many years.

  • TERRIBLE SEATS - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

This car is nice looking and has a lot of nice features, but comfort is NOT one of them. The seats are hard as a rock and we cannot endure trips longer than one hour. This car stinks. Its totally worthless on a trip. If you intend to buy a new Honda you had better test drive it for at least 2 hours. We really regret buying this vehicle. It is our first, and LAST, new Honda. This is not a quality car - its a $23,000 boat anchor. If you want to buy a quality Japanese car, look at Toyota or Nissan. Toyota has a better warranty, and has rebates. Honda sales are declining. Now we know why. We screwed up. Dont you screw up too. You have been forewarned.

  • Nothing but excellence - 2004 Honda Accord

The 2004 drives great and fits like a glove. From the moment you climb aboard you feel in control of something special. It handles great and has plenty of juice when you need to pass that annoying slow poke in the left- hand lane.

  • UNDECIDED? GET 2004 MANUAL! - 2004 Honda Accord

Folks, I have 65 miles on my Accord LX, stick. Shifts are precise, acceleration exciting, suspension hugs like a leech. I hear no rattles from windshield, doors, front.

  • The Best Accord Ever - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my 3rd Accord and by far the very best. The V-6 is outstanding with loads of power and torque. It is quite and thrifty for a V-6. 27 mpg all around driving and 31mpg highway. Not one problem in 13,000 miles. Spend the extra and get the V-6, you will not be dissapointed. The leather seats are very comfortable and supportive. Dash layout is very user friendly. Ride and drive are outstanding with just the right balance between sport and good ride. Torque steer at full throttle is almost nill. It does grow on you though. I highly recommend this car to anyone looking for a great mid-size with dependable service and great resale value.

  • NOT IMPRESSED - 2004 Honda Accord

This car has been back to a dealership several times for problems in less than 8 months of purchase. The brakes went bad- had to cut the rotor and replace the pads. The catalistic converter had to be replaced. What appears to the struts are making a rattling noise when driving over ruff terain...and in regards to the silky smooth gear box...hmmm, not in this car.

  • Great Car - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

Have own the Accord for 9 months and I have put approx. 18,000 trouble free miles on so far. No squeaks, no rattles and fablous drive train (4 cyclinder 5 manual). All the power and performance I need and gas mileage is pretty good. Sporty handling as well.
