Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Honda just as expected, when I purchased. - 2008 Honda Accord

I have been buying hondas since the early 90s. 2008 Honda Accord EX-L Navigation, Bluetooth, leather fully loaded... Dont hestitate to buy this vehicle. If your a perfectionist then no vehicle is going to suit you needs, unless you get into big bucks. This is an economical and reliable vehicle. This was my primary concern of buying this car.. It is fun to drive and it is nice and tight from the steering down to the suspension. As always, Hondas reliablity..... Buy an american car and constantly worrying about check engine light, left rear window not working, sunroof stuck open, noise coming from left side rear of the car that just will not go away, and i could go on.

  • This beauty has ISSUES! - 2003 Honda Accord

I love the ride, i love the styling, and the acceleration of the V6 felt like a 300hp engine! But man oh man, what is wrong with Hondas quality? My transmission (shared with the Honda Odyssey) crapped out on me at 60K, the center HVAC system crapped out on me shortly after, and BOTH my fog lights cracked during the first 2 months of driving it on smooth highway roads. I dont accept "yeah but it was covered under warranty" accuse, it IS a poorly built car and i went back to Toyotas and continued my track record of ZERO defects driving them. Many other Accord Coupe owners at my work had the same complaints so i know its not a fluke.

  • My first car =) - 1995 Honda Accord

I got this car about three months ago and all i can say is WOW! I cant believe how well it runs for 221,000 miles. It has leather interior, sunroof, and all the things you would need in a car. The only thing that bothered me was that the transmission shifted rough from the time we bought it, and that concerned me because i need this car for 4 years of college. I took it to two shops and one shop said it was dying and there was nothing i could do. The other shop said it was fine, well i wasnt convinced on either diagnosis, but i drove it anyway. Today i took it to the Honda dealer and had them do 1 tranny fluid drain and refill...well, IT RUNS LIKE A NEW CAR NOW! use Honda fluid ONLY!

  • Punchy! - 2011 Honda Accord

Things Im not crazy about: 1) Body styling- but I didnt buy this car for looks. I bought it for the affordability with a good engine and a manual transmission. 2) Seats are kinda uncomfortable on road trips, but again I bought this car for performance, not comfort. Things I really like: 1) Engine gets up and GOES! 2) 6 speed manual is really responsive and I can get power to the wheels very quickly when some idiot is doing 65 in the left lane and I have to zip around him and make him feel like the moron that he/she is. 3) Interior design is well thought-out. All controls are easily within arms reach. 4) Bluetooth- nuff said. Creature comforts coupled with performance= Great car!

  • 1st and last - 2008 Honda Accord

This is my first Honda and it will certainly be my last! I have a 2000 Camry and I thought the Accord would be at least as good as the Toyota, I was wrong. This car has 52,000 miles on it and has so many things wrong that I dont know where to begin. (1)the rear brakes had to be replaced at 32,000 miles (2)the headlights flicker (3) it dosnt even come close to the advertised highway mileage (4)the dashboard is made out of cheap plastic that scratches at the slightest touch(5)and worst of all, the leather seats are worn out and discolored even though it has had Honda brand leather conditioner applied every three months since new.

  • It is not "the one" for me! - 2011 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car after owning volvos and needless to say, I wish I did NOT! It may be advertised as "the One" but it is a NONE for me. The car is just plain ugly and lacks any sort of fun to drive feel that I had from driving my volvos. It is the most boring and uneventful car out on the road today. The interior design is acceptable and the cost of service is good and those are the only nice things I can honestly say about the car. They advertise the car as holding its blue book value, but when I took it to the dealership recently to sell it back they took so much off my purchase price that it was not realistic---so dont believe the bunk about resale value--not true.

  • UNSATISFIED!!!!!! - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

My first car was a 1996 Honda Civic with manuel transmission LOVED it I only had to replace the clutch. Well needless to say it got recked so I decided to buy another Honda but this one is a 2002 Accord. I didnt start having proplems, real problems until abour 120,000 miles and im seeing that that i pretty good compared to what ive been reading. Now the trany is slipping and they want about 3,000 dollars to replace and the car is now only worth about $5,000. I think this is redic. I thought Hondas were suppose to las for ever. I mean its a Honda. I guess not.

  • Best car Ive owned (long term) - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car in late 05 with approx 34,000 on it. 120,000 miles later, and no major issues at all. The CD changer shorted out @ 75k, but it was covered under the extended warranty. Like others mentioned, the paint isnt holding up the best, theres a lot of chips, and the clear coat is starting to peel in a couple places. The drivers window comes off the track once in while, making a loud squealing noise, and the leather, where the back of youre upper left arm contacts the seat is cracking, Insignificant cons. Ive been thinking about getting a newer car, but its hard to find one that offers more that doesnt cost 25k. Its paid for, and I wouldnt hesitate a 2000 mi trip.

  • Excellent Value - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

I have now owned my Accord for 6 1/2 years. This was my first Honda and because of its value and reliability I have also purchased an Odyssey. My Accord doesnt have a "look at me" appearance but it has been trouble free for 53,000 miles. It gets 26 mpg in mixed driving and once got me 37.1 mpg on a 320 mile trip with the cruise set at 70 mph. I will definitely consider another one when I hand this one off to my nine year old when he gets his drivers license.

  • My 1st and Last Honda - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

Ive had this car as a lease for 2 1/2 years. After 2 months thats when the problems started. 1st, the breaks squealed really bad...it took me a year of arguing with Honda to finally have them fixed after a service bulletin. Then my air conditioning started to make noises, they claim they cannot hear it and nothing is wrong. Sometimes it sounds like metal scraping metal, other times like someone is honking at me. Its much louder then having my music blasting. My steering wheel clicks when I turn, again they claim nothing is wrong. Now at my last oil change they said my rear brake pads needed changing. I dont even have 30,000 miles on the car yet. Glad I leased it! 4 more months...
