Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

First Honda - 2008 Honda Accord
By rramjet - August 6 - 2:33 amConvinced my wife she should get a Honda for reliability, quality, resale yada yada. She gave up her 04 Cadillac CTS. The car does have good styling, Seems economical compared to the CTS. One of the nosiest vehicles Ive ever driven. I have to assume Honda is trying to keep the weight down by limiting insulation. Tires may also contribute. Compare it to a Malibu if you can. Difference in sound level is unbelievable. The driver seating is uncomfortable. Im 63" 245. Probably the most unbelievable to me is what must be a totally inadequate electrical system that allows marginal headlights to dim when the A/C Compressor cycles. Had a 72 Datsun that did that. Wife loves her car.

The Best Honda Just Keeps Getting Better - 2018 Honda Accord
By aglobetrotter - August 5 - 1:53 pmI traded my very good 2014 Honda Accord EX-L for this 2018 Accord EX. So far I am extremely pleased. This car is better in almost every way. The look of the car is more sophisticated and luxurious. The technology is on par with almost any car on the market today especially at this price point. The layout of the dash is crisp and clean. Everything is very intuitive. You dont have to hunt for a dial or a switch. It is right where you expect it to be. The fake wood veneer is tasteful. The 8 in touch screen makes the tiny screen in my 2016 BMW look old and dated. I think the addition of knobs plus a touch screen is a winning combination. Road noise is down a bit...not Lexus quiet but a little better than before. The stock stereo is fine for most folks. There seems to be a bit more room in the newer Accord but I havent looked at the numbers. The trunk is large and spacious. Seats are pretty comfortable. This is always a matter of taste. My wife thinks my old Accords seats were better. The 2014 had leather. This time I opted for cloth with heated seats. I am crossing my fingers and using Scotchguard. I saved 2K by not going with leather but I dont know if I will miss it. Important to note is that you can get heated with cloth in the Accord for 2018. This was really an attraction for me. I also opted for the heated steering wheel and the USB plug for the back. The ideas was to get most of the benefits without the cost. We shall see. The ride is comfortable but not plush. If you have had Accords before you will know what I mean. A few small things to note. I love the new Honda Sensing , the blind spot warnings in the mirror are good. I also like the adaptive cruise control and the lane keeping assist. I have used it on the highway and it does seem to keep me in the lane a bit easier. It is not autonomous driving but an aid. I didnt opt for Nav The car has Apple Car Play. I dont think you can bring up Google maps on screen so you are stuck with Apple maps which I think are inferior...but I am not 100% certain.. the tech guy said.. Apple Car Play.. Apple maps..haha. This is odd... but someone else will care. You get Michelin tires on the EX but I dont think they come standard on the EX-L. Michelins are important to me so this was another incentive. I think the wheels are stock 17s. I am not in love with this design but didnt want to pay for better or bigger wheels. The professional reviewers say the 17s ride better but I only rode in the EX. before I bought the car. I had already made up my mind that it would be one car EX or the EX-L. I was satisfied with the EX after I drove it and then it just came down to color. There are a few nit picks. The CVT is just ok. Dont expect a miracle. Acceleration is adequate and only just so. My 320 xi BMW drives better as far as road feel but I really do like this car as well. Food for thought, you may not want to pull the trigger til after the 2.0 I think it is... 10 speed automatic comes out. All of life is about choices. I didnt want to pay more for what I perceived would be limited value for my money, nor did I want to wait. Others may disagree. I did like the wheels on the Touring by the way so of course there is that. All in all I am very pleased, I opted for no extended warranties nor maintenance plans. that is why I buy Hondas. I think Honda knew who its buyers were and built a great car for them. I think you will be hard pressed to find a better mid priced sedan.

03 Honda Accord EX - 2003 Honda Accord
By kjones2020 - August 4 - 3:30 pmLast 3 cars were Hondas (91, 01 and 03) and this is my favorite. The only 2 cons to this car are the black interior...I should have gotten leather because of my dog and when backing it is sometimes hard to see, but I use my mirrors and havent had a problem. The 4 cylinder has plenty of power for this size car.

Great car after 1 month of ownership - 2016 Honda Accord
By Quinton - August 3 - 12:13 amI love everything about the car. Traded in a 2009 Accord EX-L and the reduction in cabin noise is amazing. The stated fuel efficiency is fairly accurate. The only thing that worries me is how well the leather will hold up over time. The leather does feel kind of thin.

On My Second Accord! - 2017 Honda Accord
By Tina - August 2 - 10:18 pmLiving in New England, I also thought that you needed a Four-Wheel Drive vehicle to get through the winters. I live on a dirt road in the mountains and never thought a Front-Wheel Drive Accord (With very expensive winter tires) would be able to get the job done just as well. This past month, I traded my Gray 2012 Honda Accord EX-L V6 for a Blue 2017 Honda Accord Touring V6. I was so incredibly surprised at how far the Accord has come within the past 5 years. I absolutely love everything about it. The Apple CarPlay connectivity is the most convenient thing in the world. The one thing that again, is lovely to have in New England winters, are the heated seats. Having the Memory Seats is also just one of those niceties. The overall interior quality isnt bad due to the fact that there is plastic in some places, but for the most part, there is padded leather where you rest your elbows. In terms of performance, I personally opted for the V6 model. I really wasnt all that impressed with the V4, but I have a bit of a LED foot so for most, it is more than enough power. I think the interior space and cargo space is highly immense and should please one looking for a mid-size sedan. If you are debating between an Accord and a Camry, I would wait until 2018 to choose as a newer Camry model is debuting and you will most likely see a redesigned Accord as well. If you want heated/cooled seats or the infamous heated steering wheel, you will have to spend about $5,000 more for Hondas luxury version of the Accord, you will have to opt for their higher end, Acura TLX, which I also will tell you, offers AWD.

Honda Experience - 2003 Honda Accord
By PATRICIA RAUGH - August 2 - 9:56 pmAs a prior, well satisfied owner of a 1992 Honda Civic, I intended to purchase another Civic when I found this accord. Everything I liked about my Civic, I love about my Accord. Reliability - because of my business, I have to have a vehicle that starts, handles well in bad weather on all types of road surfaces. Economy - this is a good-sized, 4 door car that, right from the purchase date, has gotten 32+ miles to the gallon. While the higher gas prices bother me, its not nearly as bad as an SUV would be. Comfort - elderly relatives love my car. They can get in and out with ease. I travel a lot on business and, we travel for pleasure, we are both tall and have ample room to stretch.

08 Accord Satisfies - 2008 Honda Accord
By PS Miller - August 1 - 8:53 pmI just purchased the Accord 08 EX-L V6. I had shopped a Honda Civic, Toyota Camry & Prius, Acura TSX, used Accords, etc. I am extremely satisfied after the first week; though it was more costly, I still like the smooth power and handling of the V-6, the comfort of the leather interior, and something new for me... satellite radio. I had no idea it so extensive. This Accord model has a great balance of features that blends attractive styling, driveablity, build quality, economy, and comfort with all the loaded options that I will enjoy over several years and 100000+ miles of anticipated driving. Plus, and this is big for me, the great crash test scores and safety features of the car.

Great value = Easy Decision - 2016 Honda Accord
