Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

OK so far - 2004 Honda Accord
By Akela - August 12 - 2:00 amOdd to have a small odometer share display space with other options (ambient outdoor temperature, two trip mileage monitors). Aside from that caveat, the car seems to be just about perfect.

Rough Ride - 2004 Honda Accord
By DKG - August 12 - 2:00 am"Its like riding in the back of a school bus." was the comment from our teenage daughter. If your thinking of buying an Accord, be sure to take it on a bumpy highway. On the route my wife takes to work, she cant drink a cup of coffee or even talk on her cell its so rough. Looking through the rear view mirror is equivalent to that of an idling Harley.

Honda Accord - 2000 Honda Accord
By purplehaze - August 12 - 2:00 amI bought this car because I wanted reliability and that is exactly what I got. The last car I had was a dog (95 Dodge Intrepid). The AC failed, the trans died, the interior trim fell off, and the electric windows. With my honda everything runs smooth. The gas mileage isnt as high as I hoped it would be. I was expecting 23-25 mpg instead its 20 mpg.

Great car for the money - 1991 Honda Accord
By lenny@serrani.com - August 12 - 2:00 amI got this as a 3rd car to run long trips (150 mi). I was impressed with the shape it was in for a 10 year old car. That says a lot for the honda design. This is my first Honda and would buy one again. I actually find myself taking the honda instead of my NEW cars. I get 26 mpg (i dont drive slow) and put on 25K mi. already with no major problems. (just some break jobs). Just a great car!

Uncomfortable Seats - 2009 Honda Accord
By Mackie - August 11 - 4:50 amThe seats in my 2009 Accord are so incredibly uncomfortable that I cant continue to drive this vehicle. Even though I will lose money I will have to sell this vehicle. The Honda engineers really missed the mark in this regard. In the past I have owned a 1985 Accord, a 1990 Accord, a 1995 Civic, and a 1998 Accord the seats in these years and models were quite comfortable. Have been told by Honda of America that the Honda engineers decided to redesign the seats and I should have gone for a longer test drive. Needles to say this once faithful Honda customer will no longer be buying and driving Hondas.

The best Accord yet. - 2009 Honda Accord
By Michiganer - August 9 - 5:40 amI originally planned to buy the 2.4L EXL I4 5MT coupe, but after seeing and driving the V6 6MT, I had to have it. The extra 2 grand gets you better looking wheels, Homelink, fog lights, integrated spoiler, dual exhaust, and some other small odds n ends make it worth the cost (since I would have wanted to upgrade the wheels and put fogs on the I4). The V6 also provides a great amount of power, but the I4 will suffice for most and is sufficient. I only wish that the 6MT had a taller 6th gear. I get the EPA rated 26 mpg, but Im sure it could be better with a taller final drive while still being fast on the low end.
