Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Be realistic - 2009 Honda Accord
By john - September 11 - 10:13 amHave owned this car for 3 months and 4500 miles. It is as advertised, a roomy, practical easy to drive well built vehicle. I also own a Camry LE and a Lexus RX. The accord is typical Honda, stiffer ride more road noise, however the steering - handling and everyday driveability is excellent. For a 4 cyl 3200 lb automatic car the overall performance is fantastic. I have not gotten under 30 mpg on any tankful. The active noise cancellation and adjustable lumber support along with the 190 hp engine warrant paying for the Ex. This is not a perfect car, however for the price -drivability-room-handling- mpg-crash results-resale value and practicality its hard to find something better.

Hey look, everyone has your car :( - 2001 Honda Accord
By Ido - September 10 - 2:00 amIf you want a good, average car that will not let you down then buy the car. If, however, you dont want to drive something that everyone else is driving or want a little excitement in your daily commute, do not opt for the accord. The interior is extremely comfortable. Very spacious (I am 60 210 and fit very comfortbaly) Rear seat is surprisingly spacious as well as the trunk. Suspension is a bit taut makes for a bit of a rough ride. Also, the 4cyl. just aint gonna cut it, at least go for the 6cyl. for increased performance.

Owner - 2000 Honda Accord
By Anand Sukhlall - September 10 - 2:00 amIt has been over two years now and still fun to drive. I have put almost $4,000 into the engine which gives it the edge I desire. Its a great car...very reliable and sporty. Maybe a lot of people drive one but it is very easy to make yours unique with the availability of after market parts. Where else could you find a car that will do 145mph + and handle like a charm!

Brakes and VCM - 2008 Honda Accord
By TT - September 8 - 10:30 amI am very disappointed in this car. I am disappointed in the ride. The VCM is very rough. It lunges when shifting. The brakes have squeaked since purchase and the dealer cant hear the noise so say they cant fix it. I was told that the reason they squeak is because Honda uses hard disc pads so they will last longer and problem with brake pads is a reasonable swap for longevity. Not to me.There are more rattles than I would like but this isnt too bad. I had SAABs for 16 years, one a 4 cylinder and the other a V6 Turbo and wish that I had bought another one even though they cost more to fix and maintain. The SAAB dealership has treated me far better than the Honda dealer.

Problems - 2005 Honda Accord
By Dale Ransdell - September 5 - 4:13 pmThe vehicle was purchased and we immediately went on a 10000 mile trip. Car performed well with gas mileage of 27-35+ depending on wind and terrain. The problem with the shift to drive 3 was occasional and I would prefer to have the auto headlight feature. One problem was the short visor, with the sun coming from the drivers side the short visor was inadequate to block the sun. Needs a visor extender to cover the window width. After the trip the car suddenly lost the good gas mileage and dropped to 22-25. We took it in for a checkup and they said they did nothing but the mileage is now 26-30 with over 12000 miles on the vehicle. There is vibration at low gear from the elect/gas shift

What a great buying experience! - 2010 Honda Accord
By Jan T. - September 5 - 2:46 pmI recently traded in my 2005 Honda Accord EX-L for a 2010, and even though I loved my prior car, I love the new one even better! The new car sits a little higher, and I definitely feel the better pick up that the car has due to higher horsepower. I felt very safe in my former car, and feel very safe in the new one. The salesmen treated me with the utmost respect, and with this new car being my 2nd car purchased at this dealership, I will come back and buy a 3rd in due time! Ive already referred two people to this dealership, and will refer more in the future!!

By hateshonda - September 5 - 2:00 amSigh... every time that i talk about my honda, I get a headache. I have a 1990 accord ex, and i have been fixing it almost bimonthly, because the damn thing is falling apart. The drive train is crap, the body is rusting out, and all of the sensors have succeded to fail at once. This car is way too expensive to fix, and isnt worth it anymore... my question to you is this... Anybody want to buy a an accord??

a rough ride - 2003 Honda Accord
By drup - September 4 - 2:00 amI feel every bump in the road--and every gear shift is shaky--the first time I took it off an expressway it blew a tire--the donut at 50 mph with trucks approaching you from behind at 75 is more than enough to give a new term to the need to drink when you drive this car!!! The car veers to the left and them to the right--I think all the tires were out of alignment--and Ive only got 400 miles on it...cant wait for more???

Who needs a Camry/Altima-Even Maxima? - 2003 Honda Accord
By TKevinC - September 4 - 2:00 amJust purchased my 3rd Accord in 8 yrs. This one is light yrs beyond the others. For the money I cannot imagine a better vehicle. Well, this one with a different rear end!! What was Honda thinking. Got mine for $24,400 out the door. Couldnt get any comp veh for anywhere near that. Rides a little harsh for a 4 dr sedan (could be those Michelin tires)has tremendous power. Havent noticed the mushy handling noted by all the car mags.

First time Honda - 2008 Honda Accord
By omela1 - September 2 - 11:50 pmI have been a Toyota lover for more than 10 years but did not like the new design. I was ready to purchase the BMW 328 but opted for the Honda Accord. The 2008 Honda is awesome. Luxury design with economy pricing. Handling is great and fun to drive.
