Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

240K Miles and Going To Donate Soon - 1992 Honda Accord
By jmm11 - August 11 - 2:26 pmI drive my wifes 1992 Honda Accord and its been a great car. The things that strike others when the ride in it is how comfortable the ride is for compared to other mid size to small sedans. The current issues I have include: Rotors, Wheel Bearings, Tie Rods..Oil Leaks Rust..Interior rips in seats..Windshield Washer Fluid Dispenser..Pretty costly repairs that arent worth it anymore..Donation Time! I also hate the timing belt...When considering these cars know that every 90K miles you have to get front of the engine removed to replace the timing belt. I think weve replaced it twice and its coming up on a third time...$$$ Original Engine, Transmission and A/C Compressor.....Amazing!

DO NOT BUY THIS CAR - 2008 Honda Accord
By stadem06 - August 9 - 9:03 pmI have been a loyal Honda owner for many years, always drove the Civic. In 2008 I fell in love with the new Accord Coupe and traded in my 1 yr old Civic to step up. That was a mistake. I just had to replace my rear brakes, my 4th pair in 3 years. I had to get the engine worked on because it would make a rattling sound every morning when I would start the car. The center console "Leather" is coming apart & the leather seats look stained from my clothes. Overall I am very disappointed.

The Last Honda Ill Ever Buy! - 2008 Honda Accord
By joetomcar - August 7 - 3:26 pmAlthough I have been a loyal Honda owner for over 20 years, I will never buy another one after all the issues Ive encountered with the 2008 model. I bought my first Accord in 90, my second in 93. The 93 is still the best car EVER. Sadly the 2008 is nothing but trouble. The rear brake pads have had to be changed three times, the "leather" interior is cheap to say the least and the interior moldings were all cut too short and have had to be replaced. The middle console thats covered with "leather" is in shreds. Can anyone say "Naugahyde?" Both front seats are being recovered. Honda helped me out by paying 50% which is insane! By cutting corners, Honda has lost my business forever!

Of course , stepped on gas first few times, so my RPM went to 5500-6000.....i thought gas will be eaten as a hell ..... not really, i filled up today and i got 20.5 MPG !!!! I will take that !!! The rattles are enough to drive you crazy! - 2008 Honda Accord
By dneslen - July 31 - 5:38 pmI bought this car because Honda has such a good reputation. I was not impressed! The car had a terrible rattle where the rear window meets the back cheap plastic. I had to diagnose and fix the problem on my own, but never got the rattle to completely stop. The glove box also rattled. It drove me crazy. I would drive with the glove box open so that I did not have to hear the rattle. The interior is cheap- a lot of plastic. The dash is ugly, nothing to be desired. On the upside, I love the exterior look. However, I just sold this vehicle after owning it for only 5 months. I was so happy to get rid of it! I am now going to go with German engineering:) Oh, and the seats are very uncomfortable

High Reliability. Great Value. Poor seat comfort. - 2007 Honda Accord
By sjulier - July 29 - 3:49 pmSimple lines, excellent interior ergonomics, quiet on highway, excellent gas mileage - I average 33-34 mpg on highway, 29 mpg in commuter traffic with full synthetic oil. Super low maintenance cost. I like everything about the car except the seat. I am 60" and cannot stretch my leg out straight. The seat track is too short and there is too much padding under the leg.

Gas Mileage Not as Expected - 2011 Honda Accord
By finallyahonda - July 29 - 2:01 amI bought my Accord for the reliability, resale value, styling, gas efficiency, and comfort. I tried sportier cars but liked the smooth handling and interior design of the Accord. Despite being a little noisier than I prefer, it was the best value for the price. The car looks and feels like a luxury vehicle. My husband has a 3 year old Odyssey and loves it so I thought Id go with an Accord to be safe. It is a gorgeous car, but it is not living up to the hype. I wanted something with fantastic gas mileage but on the last few tanks Ive averaged 19 miles in the city. This is not bad but Ive never come close to the 23 mpg as advertised. Im not a speed demon I accelerate gradually.

2011 Honda Accord coupe - 2011 Honda Accord
By carsales1 - July 28 - 10:21 pmI have owned car lot for 8 years and have had good luck with hondas. This one was different. The beautiful design of the exterior and the good quality found in past hondas is why I bought it. The seat is rock hard so on 2 hr drives my legs and back hurt. Very uncomfortable car. this car sits very low making it difficult to get in and out. also difficult to find a position to hold the steering wheel so that you can rest your arm while driving. At 7500 miles the front suspension started making a popping sound when stopping and starting off. Honda fixed this free, but it started back the next day. The back also squeaked on bumpy road. Traded in with less than 10 k for a Ford F150. Happy now!

By sonny76 - July 26 - 6:51 pmThe price was right, color fine, seats great, power and economy 24to31 looks great ,room ,super, but the tires didnt make it,one was deformed or out of round.Took dealer a long time and effort to get it right. next problem, the ft. brake rotors, out of round, honda replaced them, solved that problem. then the back rotors went out of round,I had to pay for the turning 100 bucks, that was bs honda. Have 42000 miles on car ,it is now debugged, smooth, fun to drive ,fine for long trips .It just took to long to get it right.

New Accord Is Great! - 2011 Honda Accord
By bklynborn - July 24 - 9:08 pmPurchased new Accord recently and it is a wonderful car. Very smooth and it rides confidently. The 190 HSP 4-cylinder has more power than I thought it would and feels almost like a V-6. The interior also has lots of room both front and back. The craftsmanship on this car is just terrific and exceeded my expectations. I test drove a Fusion, Camry and Sonata and the Accord handles much better and that ultimately was the deciding factor. To me, it still is the benchmark in this class of automobiles. The only thing they should have included was an outside temperature guage which is a safety feature in cold weather. If you buy this car you wont be disappointed.
