Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

No sport sedan - 2008 Honda Accord
By Larry - November 21 - 5:40 pmJust picked up this car yesterday and drove it about 150 miles - highway and city. I have been driving a 1990 Acura Legend Sedan, but also recently owned and driven a 2004 Accord V-6 Coupe and 2004 S2000. Moving to Manhattan, we kept the old car and sold the others. I have to say I am disappointed. The Acura STILL was a far sportier driver than this new car, too "Buick" like. It may have stolen its lines from BMW but it does not drive like one - this is NOT a drivers car. BEWARE former Honda owners, this car is now a Toyota Avalon. And you can DEFINITELY feel the engine switch modes.

Twelve years still like new - 1991 Honda Accord
By Mcync - November 21 - 2:00 amI bought this car twelve years ago. after 5 years,(off warranty) the paint on top of the roof faded. I complaint to Honda of America and the company representative authorized the dealer to repaint my car completely. This includes stripping down the windshield, and baked after painting ...at no cost. I was surprised and intriqued by the fact they stand behind their customers (the company, not the dealers) Nevertheless, I bought my subsequent cars from Honda. My 91 model had radiator replace @ 8 years, Drivers window adjusted, and nothing else....great car!

Cost of Maintaining is crazy! - 1996 Honda Accord
By MMH - November 20 - 2:00 amBurns oil faster then gas (Broken ring $3000) Timing belt at 100,000 miles $400. Universal joints $400. Get a Saturn (Steel Timing belt). when useing the drink holder forget about using the casset player. Lights are way under par mosture-fog over, Tempature control involves opening window, Parking break button sticks, Oil cap almost impossible to remove without burning fingers, Bogs down on hills with curse control on, The trunk is way to small and laying the back seats down involves trying to hold a spring lock key open while pulling the seat down?, Poor rear visabiliy, Crappy radio, and you will bump your head getting in. HONDA ALL HYPE!!!!!!!!!!!

Used to love Honda..! - 2008 Honda Accord
By triton189 - November 18 - 9:23 amThis is my Third Honda Accord and by far it is the worst. I cant believe it! I had an "01" and "04" without any problems. I have had this vehicle a little over a year with 28,000 miles. The first "major" concern is the VCM engine. The vehicle surges at Highway speeds between 60-70 mph. It is enough to drive you insane....! Second is the wind noise on the drivers side. The brakes also are terrible...! I had to have the front replaced and the rotors turned at 20K miles. Now the back brakes are acting the same way at 27,800 miles. I have leather seats and it is like sitting on aluminum seats at a high school football game (Hard as a Rock). I will not consider Honda for my next vehicle..!

Efficiency? - 2005 Honda Accord
By mky05 - November 17 - 11:06 pmOur initial reaction to this car has been serious disappointment at the poor fuel economy. After 8k miles were averaging slightly over 26mpg, certainly nothing impressive. On a positive note the car is quite fast and a serious improvement for day to day driving when compared to the early model prius and insight weve also owned. Still we bought it with expectations itd be fuel efficient for our mostly highway driving. It hasnt lived up. Prius in the future

I love my Honda - 2005 Honda Accord
By jpf26 - November 17 - 7:43 pmThis is the first time I have ever owned a Honda. I have to say that I am very happy with my Accord. I love it! It has good fuel economy and a lot of power when you need it. The navigation system is excellent, voice command is excellent as well. I will never own another car with out voice command navigation. The Accord is very roomy, very comfortable, it is extremely quiet inside the car too. I noticed this over several other cars that I test drove.
