Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

2006 Accord EX/L - 2006 Honda Accord
By thec - November 26 - 2:03 pmWe took a 2000 mile road trip a week ago. We didnt really care for the comfort of the front seats for a trip that long, although the driver could at least adjust the seat position more.

Reliable Comfort at Reasonable Price - 2016 Honda Accord
By James Bluemle - November 26 - 8:16 amIf you are looking for a car that performs the way you would expect a higher priced model to behave, such as an Acura or Lexus, but at a more reasonable price, this is the car for you. If you really want to stomp on it the car will really go. But we are much gentler drivers and have only put 10,000 on the car in a little over a year. It is the first new car we have purchased that has not had even a single nit-picky issue during those 12 months. Navigation and Honda Sensing function effectively once you become accustomed to using them, and accept the fact that they are merely "driver assist" features and dont expect more. We are completely satisfied with the value it offers for the price we paid.

Nice Ride! - 2005 Honda Accord
By Lex - November 26 - 12:50 amThe vehicle is HOT! Before buying, I drove the Maxima & TL; I bought the Accord (Red): no premium on price or gas, and not costly to maintain. I trust Honda; this is my 6th. I did not like the redesign at first until I saw the 6 spd with the 17 inch sport wheels. People stare with envy: I like that!

Back to Honda - 2009 Honda Accord
By Don - November 25 - 7:36 pmI researched and drove multiple cars for months before deciding the V6 Navi was the best decision for the $. I wanted the coupe, but the back seat was a non-starter for adults. Awesome sound system! Mileage not what I expected from the VCM engine, and I drive with a light foot. Navi isnt intuitive yet, but I hope to be better with it after a couple months. The climate control system is exceptional. People I talk to through blue tooth say the sound quality is very good. Exceptionally fine handling and steering. After 4 Hondas and 3 Mercedes, Im sold on Honda. Why pay twice as much for an unreliable Mercedes when you can have a car like this?

lots of miles ... cheap transportation - 1998 Honda Accord
By Jim - November 25 - 5:58 amHave 330K miles, bought in 2003 with 52k. I usually replace my car more frequently than this but the car is still really nice especially on trips. I practice hyper-mileage tricks and get significantly better gas economy ... record is 720 miles on a tank (but striving for that high is taxing). Simple tricks like turning car off at long traffic lights, etc will attain 36 ... speed is the enemy to good gas mileage. Problems are front half shafts, sway bar links, hydraulic clutch master cylinder, paint clear coat. I take the car cross country and back once a year and it is a fine long trip car.

Another one - 1995 Honda Accord
By cte - November 25 - 2:00 amGot my first Honda (70) at age 9, Ive had 6 or 7 since (not including geneators, etc.) -- best engine and performance for ANY money! This Accord I purchased with 9 miles on it and its been another great attribute to a car company that does everything right (if you buy it for no other reason, think "resale"). I replaced the heat knob once and the oil once or twice, at 130K miles its wonderful. No, its not built for speed ... but thats why I drive Hondas CBR!!

I Love This Car - 2005 Honda Accord
By JWG - November 22 - 8:06 pmWhere to start? The engine (V6) is smooth and powerful (240hp). The automatic transmission is quick to downshift and the spacing between the gears helps give quick starts off the line. While in 5th gear is only taching 2400rpm at 80 mph for good fuel economy (avg 27 mpg in 70% highway driving). It handles well with little body lean, yet is quiet and absorbs bumps gracefully. The interior is high quality, very comfortable and for a coupe, pretty spacious. The true cost of ownership (considering depreciation), is only a little more than a Dodge Neon over 5 years. It has top safety rating in all categories. Though its not the best in its class at any 1 thing, it is very good at everything
