Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Excellent Car for the Money - 1997 Honda Accord

I would definitely recommend this vehicle to anyone. It is stylish, yet functional and economical. AWESOME GAS MILEAGE and the engine (2.2L, 4 cyl.)is pretty peppy. I have the EX-L and the interior is stylish without being too frilly, very spacious as well. No mechanical problems whatsoever, very sound car. Rides nicely too. Definitely recommend this car to anyone interested in buying one!

  • Great Value - 2002 Honda Accord

Great value esp when they are clearing out the 2002. Solid, fun to drive feel. Almost everything you need....

Have had mine new since 03/00. Have 28k miles. Replaced rear deck speakers within month. ECM replaced under warranty after Check Engine light came on. Only other thing has been oil changes. Starting to get hairline cracks on side of driver seat leather near top release. Dealer told me this is common & they will replace. Seems prone to hood marks from stones, etc. Excellent highway car - but youll need a radar detector because youll go too fast without noticing it. Over 70-75 mph you will get wind noise. Id be hard pressed not to buy another Honda or Acura based on my experience. Wife just bought a 03 TL.

  • TOTAL Reliability - 1995 Honda Accord

This was the first car I ever bought with my own money. I put miles on it like an animal and NEVER EVER had one problem, just the usual maintenance. The battery lasted 6 years. I wouldnt think twice about driving it anywhere, no matter how far, no matter how bad the weather. Thats another thing, I lived in Connecticut and I personally think this car was better that most SUVs in the snow.

  • 270K miles and still going - 1990 Honda Accord
    By -

I have owned my Accord for almost 13 years. Other than an occassional electrical problem and being unable to keep the car in alignment, I was extremely pleased the first 190K miles. Since then, it has started costing me some money. I have averaged $160 a month in repairs for the last four years. Still cheaper than a new car, but more than I would have expected from a Honda. I have replaced the blower motor twice, alternator once, radiator once, mater brake cylinder twice, struts once, and CV boots numerous times. I also lost compression in one cylinder and had a valve job.

  • Solid choice - 2007 Honda Accord

Turned in my Honda Civic lease car with plans to lease another Civic. But the Accord was so much quieter and smoother riding than the Civic. So I ended up leasing an Accord. Love the 6 CD set up. Nice sound system. Manual transmission is smooth. The manual transmission seems to be much better mated to the engine than the automatic. Automatic seemed noiser and rougher. Plus the manual gets a bit better mileage. I average about 27 mpg in mostly city driving. (The Civic did get better mileage.) The engine is silky smooth for a 4-cylinder. Plenty of power. Who needs 6 cylinders? Honda makes great engines. Love the Moroccan red color.

An excellent car for the money, and better than some that cost more, test drove some luxury models that did not handle as well or were as quiet as this car. Exceptional acceleration and power for a 4cyl car. Excellent gas mileage. If I was to purchase an upscale luxury car it would definitely be an Acura.

  • The Right Choice - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

This was The Right Choice for several reasons. I had it down between a Volvo V50 and the Accord and picked the Honda for mileage and interior room reasons. I have a long commute, so interior comfort and mileage were top priorities. Skip Hondas link for iPod. I had it installed and wrote the dealer that very night to arrange a time to bring the car back and have it removed. Got an aftermarket unit thats half the price and mixes the ease of an iPod with the direct-link sound quality. Great car. Comfortable, practical and keeps its value at trade-in time!

  • Almost Great . . . - 2016 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchased the V6 Touring Model. And I agree with other reviews and would easily recommend it as a purchase that one would be happy with and confident. But I cant give it 5 stars because the front seat are substandard in terms of theyre comfort. Not much better than a seat on the city bus . If anyone know of a solution please post it.
