Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Shake, rattle and roll - 2003 Honda Accord

Good design, good technology. Very poor build quality, reminiscent of 70s GM. Too many rattles to list (dash, seatbelt adjuster, exhaust, etc). A/C clunks every time it cycles on. Brake pads worn out at 30000 miles (under warranty). I had similar problems in a 95 Civic. Since manufacture moved to North America, QA has gone way down. (Sorry, but its the truth). I have owned many Hondas over the years (even motorcycles). But no more. Will no longer pay steep premium price for such poor quality. Will trade in on a Ford or GM. I expect the same quality problems, but will spend far less money.

I test-drove many cars, several of which were great (Prius, 2010 Ford Fusion, Camry) but as a confirmed Honda driver, I came back to the 2009 Accord. Love everything, but I have to agree with several other reviewers that the drivers seat is often downright uncomfortable -- Im a 56" female and the seat back hits me in the wrong place, throwing me into a very unnatural position. Putting on the lumbar makes matters worse. Im hoping the seat softens up and takes on the arm-chair cushiness of my 2006 Accord. Cup holders are still in bad position and dangerous because you have to look down at them to remove a beverage cup. But its a beauty, decent mileage, drives well, plush, very roomy, mine!

Great car except for rough downshifts when coming to a stop (SE auto) to the point where it feels like the car "jumps" a little. Took it to the dealer twice and they reassured me that it runs fine. And the brakes are pretty weak/soft.

  • Best Accord yet - 2005 Honda Accord

I purchased this Accord, our fifth, 3 weeks ago and couldnt be happier. The 6 cylinder engine coupled with the 5 speed auto transmission and 16 inch tires are a great improvement. It rides well, has plenty of power, looks good inside and out, and has plenty of safety features. It is fun to drive and compared to my Lexus LS430 seems very comparable for less than half the price. It is a superb urban vehicle for my wife.

  • Great Accord - 2006 Honda Accord

I own a 2006 LX SE accord with automatic. I have always liked Hondas and owned a few in the last 20 years. This is yet another great product from Honda which is fun to drive, reliable and powerful. The car handles great and the 4 cylinder, 2.4 liter engine provides plenty of power. I would have preferred the manual transmission, but agreed on an auto to make everyone happy! The SE with alloys and CD changer and steering wheel audio controls just add to the fun. Great vehicle. It replaced a 1999 Mercedes E320 which turned out to be a piece of junk and had to be replaced to avoid long-term major expenditures. No more Benz for me, thats for sure.

I will drive this car into the ground. It runs perfectly and I will give it the proper maintence, both body and engine, to make sure it stays that way. Looking to get 400k miles out of her.

This was the first thing I bought when I finished college. I still have the car today, and it still runs great. You just follow the recommended Honda maintenance scheule, and you get no problems. Ive had to replace the battery, a couple of lights, and the muffler. Great car.

  • Honda loyalist no longer - 2017 Honda Accord

Dissapointment! After 30years of driving Hondas, My 2017 Accord does not live up to Honda quality. My last Accord a 2013 was a much better car. The new car has a shudder in the steering at highway speeds that is not correctable. The steering is also unstable. With no surface interference (wind, road crown) the car will not go straight. It floats and needs continuous correction. Hondas suspension retuning has apparently failed. The dealer has balanced and aligned wheels, replaced all tires and tried other cars of the same trim line and they all exhibit the same idiosyncrasies. Very sad. I have an iPhone SE with 10.1.1 which pairs fine with the Bluetooth Handsfreelink, however the connectivity is horrible. It rarely takes an audio command, often does not pick up a call, cuts in and out rendering it unusable. After many calls to Honda and Apple I Have given up. Back to handheld. Very sad. The back up camera was improperly installed and replaced but it is such an inferior optic it is useless at night and sketchy in daylight. No more Hondas for me. I am not a big fan of the style change either but the basics, drivability and technology are safety issues that are unforgivable for Honda. Very sad and I will shop for another brand after suffering through this lease.

  • Everythings A Okay - 2000 Honda Accord

My 2000 Honda Accord EX has been wonderful. My wife and I love it. We have a 2.3L VTEC engine which allows us the power we wanted in a car, but the fact that its a 4-cyl. has been great. We save so much money on gas and the gas mileage is unbelievable. We have driven the car approximately 8500 miles in 6 months and weve not had a single problem. I change the oil regularly and check the fluids and this car rides like a dream. It performs wonderfully on the interstate, county roads, and in the city. We are very satisfied with Honda and the Accord EX.
