Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

My Honda - 2002 Honda Accord
By Jenny - January 7 - 2:36 amI think the honda looks good on the inside and out but I believe it is made very cheap. My car makes strange noises and my dealership tells me they cant fix it. I probably would not buy a honda again even though they are reliable.

A Little Disappointed - 1993 Honda Accord
By C Csada - January 7 - 2:00 amBought this car (my first Honda) used with about 84,000 miles. 2 months later I had to do the head gasket because, followed my the flex pipe on the exhaust. 8 months later and 100,000 miles oil sending unit, oil pan gasket and now my water pump is starting to leak. I also have a front tire shimmy when braking, a transmission mount that needs to be replaced and my clutch shudders in the morning. I bought because of Honda reliablity but know I can honestly say that Im not so impressed. Ive owned Chev, Ford and Chrysler products so far my accord is no better than them. Good thing for high resale value.

Couldnt have done better - 1999 Honda Accord
By Florida Hockey Fan - January 6 - 10:00 amFor anyone looking for a sporty, stylish, comfortable, affordable, reliable car, this is the one for you. Its got it all. After driving the 4- dr. Accords I came upon the coupe and was hooked. This car is in immaculate shape, the engine purrs like a kitten, and has been a joy to drive. Hugs the road, feels like its got some weight behind it without feeling sluggish. My friends and family keep going back to Honda and now I understand why.

Gaining Attention - 2008 Honda Accord
By BJ - January 5 - 1:53 pmAfter the timing belt went on my 99 dodge stratus. I decided that it was a good time to purchase a new vehicle. With only 450 miles on my belt, the new 08 Honda Accord is making me one happy person. The gas mileage not up to were I like it to be, but I hear that over time it will improve. The car a bit on the pricey side, but for all the features, great ride, and enough room for a 6 to 61" guy; its will worth the money.

My first Honda - 2008 Honda Accord
By Bruce - FL - January 5 - 12:13 pmThe 2008 Accord is the first Honda Ive ever owned. This is one great automobile. the fit and finish is unmatched. not a single item needed post purchase service or attention. The engine and transmission is the smoothest unless compared with a vehicle costing $20k more. the variable cylinder management changes to 4 cyl when not under load, this helps with fuel mileage. I highly recommend the Honda Accord.

Six Trouble Free Years - 2005 Honda Accord
By ATB - January 5 - 6:46 amWe love our Accord, and feel that it is, without a doubt, the very best quality vehicle we have ever owned. We like it much better than a previous Camry, a Mazda 626 and a Ford.

Know what youre buying. A top notch sedan. - 2009 Honda Accord
By Zak - January 5 - 4:26 amI think most people have always confused the accord and the civic with some kinds of wannabe track car. These are passenger vehicles. Front wheel drive and fuel efficient. Everyone wants these tight handling sedans. Honda would not survive if they did not grow. In this country we have wide open streets and long straight highways. Yes; we will have the occasional twisty. Think of this car as a step up from the 07 accord. Similar to the 2000 Acura RL. It is a safe reliable family and passenger vehicle. If you want performance, you want rear wheel drive. Get an S2000. Its a great car with good firm wheel feel. Consistent steering and solid brakes. Roomy and comfortable.

Bland but Reliable - 1996 Honda Accord
By drivefor5 - January 4 - 2:00 amBeen driving the wifes Accord LX for almost 2 years now. Only has 65,XXX miles. Always there for you, just do the maintenance. Its boring as hell though after driving a 92 Camaro RS V8. 2.2 4Cyl sounds like a diesel even after valve adjustment. Great highway MPG (Over 30 with the 4 Cyl) Get the V6 if you are looking. Better performance. Why is A/T shifter able to shift from Overdrive to Drive at all times? I think my wife was screwed over by the dealer as the paint on the left rear door is different (no accidents either).

2016 Accord V6 EX-L with Nav, etc. - 2016 Honda Accord
By Ron Duvall - January 3 - 11:04 amThe only feature of this car I do not like is the infotainment system, which is overly complex and unintuitive. Also, be sure to make the dealer FULLY demonstrate the use of this hodge-podge system. Otherwise, a great drivers car, even for tall people.

Old Reliable - 1990 Honda Accord
By Carl Schlanger - January 3 - 2:00 amThis car is one of three Honda Accords I currently own -- 1990, 1992, and 1993. Among them, Im nearing the 500,000 mile mark. I dont hesitate to repair or replace any part that fails because it happens so seldom and my mechanic gives me a lifetime warranty on any work he does. Transmissions are tough, engines last forever. Those assemblers in Marysville, Ohio really know what theyre doing!
