Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Nice ride...love the manual! - 2012 Honda Accord
By pmm21 - September 30 - 9:15 amI wish they would offer more manual transmission....I settled with the LX model and am very pleased. I would prefer alloy wheels and that would be about it. 2012 model has UBS port for my iPOD! It is a little slow in acceleration from first to second gear but other than that it performs great and feels sporty. Its no speed racer butI am okay with that since it is a 4 cyl Accord. Get a Mustang or coupe V6 if you are looking for performance. I love Honda quality and it rides smooth. The road noise doesnt seem to be an issue for me but I test drove a used 2009 LX-P that was really noisey. Best deal out there for leases...looked at Fusion, Altima, and VW Jetta...Honda won in my book!

Come On Honda - 2009 Honda Accord
By pieceofchum - September 26 - 2:02 pmI would never recommend a Honda Accord 2009+. My 2009 Accord LX is at best sub par for Honda. I have had 3 other Honda vehicles and they were all excellent except this one. The rear of the car squeeks terribly while going over bumps. The brakes feel like I am standing on a gym floor while 20 kids dribble basketballs - never had breaks that felt like this ever in any other vehicle. The seats are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever had in a vehicle, lumbar pushes into your back to much, the foam is way to stiff and the side bolsters too narrrow. Car vibrates with ac on at a stop.

An overall really good choice - 2008 Honda Accord
By bluebolt87 - September 25 - 10:10 pmI get a lot of comments and compliments about how slick my black Honda Accord Coupe looks. Its got a peppy engine, pretty good mpg, well done interiors, and reliable. I couldnt complain.

DO NOT BUY THIS CAR! - 2009 Honda Accord
By bmwfan24 - September 20 - 12:57 pmAs you can see from the other reviews this car has reliability issue and the car feels cheap. Theres alots of interior road noise along with too much dash board noise. Alots of stuff squeaks and the car seems cheaper than a KIA. BUT THE MAIN REASON I HATE THIS CAR IS BECAUSE IT HAS NOOOOOOO POWER. This is a heavy car and it only has 190 horse power...really?! My 2001 Camry v4 picks up better. This car SUCKS at picking upeverytime I find myself going over 4000rpm thus messing up my MPG!!! DO NOT BUY THIS CAR! look at the MAxima or altima theyre better!!!!!!

My first and for sure last honda car: Steering wheel problem persists for 2 and half years - 2009 Honda Accord
By bibhuti - September 17 - 10:34 amI got the car 2 years and 6 months back. Within first month the steering wheel gave me noises. At first honda did tried to avoid it, but finally they changed. Since then I have vibrations in my steering wheel at 70mph. The dealer has not been able to fix it since then. The car has a very stiff and bumpy ride. My daughter (she is now 4 months) constantly groans when she is in the car. Wind noise is so loud that you feel less noise in Chevy traverse or subaru outback on highway with window half opened than the Accord with window closed! Leather seats are hard and uncomfortable

I thought Hondas were supposed to be reliable... - 2004 Honda Accord
By melanierose10 - September 4 - 1:50 amI bought my 2004 Honda used at 120,000 miles. It had several problems that were very expensive to fix. It was very unreliable. It broke down several times randomly - the PCM went out twice, and the EVAP solenoid needed to be replaced. Those were the most costly repairs but it seemed like once one problem was fixed the check engine light would come back on for another reason. Also, a lot of electrical problems that I never had diagnosed, the interior lights never worked and the electric locks didnt either. Other than that, however, my Honda was really fun to drive, and very fast, with lots of amenities, but I would not recommend based on reliability. Drove it to 160,000 miles then sold it.

Never Again! - 2008 Honda Accord
By defenderman - September 1 - 1:27 amIve owned 17 cars in 30 years so Ive driven a few. This is my 5th Honda and my last. Im going elsewhere. Noisy, gutless, rattles. The brakes were fixed and reimbursed. OEM tires made it 28k miles. Cheap. Glovebox rattles. Cheap. Seats are uncomfortable and thin. Cheap. Cross members under parcel shelf in trunk rattle. Cheap. 5-speed AT pretty much gives up at 55 for power. Pull out to pass in the mountains and the best you get from there is 3rd gear so you may as well be dragging a log behind your car. Looks great. Mileage is okay. The noise! My word the noise! I cant wait to dump this car. 38k miles and its the worst car Ive owned, and I had a 73 Pinto Wagon!

I HATE IT!!! - 2011 Honda Accord
By mreich1 - August 31 - 12:27 amThis is my fourth Honda in less than 10 years and second accord, so that should tell you how much I have like Honda in the past. Well, they really blew it on this car. I truly hate this car. I hate it so much, that when my lease was up on my Pilot, I replaced it with a Toyata, because Honda obviously does not care. This car is way underpowered. You hit the gas, and almost nothing happens. Goes from 0-60 in about 10 seconds. Try going up the hills in San Francisco. You will stall unless you are in first gear. This car should be offered only in a six cylinder. I think I want my 1979 Dodge Colt back. And gas mileage is terrible, of course it should get 25 mpg, it barely has an engine

very reliable car - 2006 Honda Accord
By tabbies - August 30 - 7:59 pmThis car has only a couple of problems very worn brakes and tires at 52k, the leather could be made better, but every thing else is either perfect or ok. The power is great, the headlights look awesome, and the fuel economy said 24, 34 in the handbook but now its like 21, 30. Id blame the worn tires though. I have the sunroof a spoiler and black paint. During hot weather its a real surprise when you go from 85F to about 104F. The fastest Ive ever gone in it was 120mph.

Honda Lifer. Buy a Honda! - 2005 Honda Accord
By luvmytwins1 - August 30 - 12:06 pmPurchased car new, now has 111,000mi w/no problems. It has plenty of room, as much if not more than a SUV & very comfortable for long travel w/plenty of leg room in front seats or back. We had twins after we bought the car & it fits both car seats w/a small amount of room for someone in the middle. When our family doubled I thought we would buy something bigger & safer but quickly found out we had already purchased the car that fits everything x2, and a safe car. Its a smooth ride & very quite w/great handling. We travel once a month to see our family about 130mi away. Ive never gotten out of this car & felt like Id been driving for 2hrs. I would only sell this car for another Honda!
