Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Totally Disappointed - 2008 Honda Accord
By Kathy - February 10 - 12:50 amIve had my Honda for 2 weeks. About a week ago I noticed that my car had a 1 second delay when shifting into drive. When stepping on the accelerator, it would take a moment to actually shift into gear. I also dislike the way the car down shifts when you take your foot off the pedal. Its very noticable...moves you forward in your seat. And when shifting from one gear to the next...well its rough. I took my car into the dealer and they said it was normal for the Accord. We even test drove another car just like mine and it did the same thing. Im in the process of trying to give it back and filing a complaint. Who makes a car that has a delay when shifting into drive? Normal?..whatever!

Awesome drive - 2007 Honda Accord
By Amy Dizney - February 9 - 5:56 pmI cant say enough about the performance. Fast, smooth, handles very well. I just wish I could legally really get on it to see how fast it will go. Beautiful black leather interior. Easy access to console. Highly reccommend Ipod adaptor, the controls are on my steering wheel. Heated seats required in Mass winters. Fits my family of five comfortably in back seat. The roomy rear seat was my major decision for choosing this over larger SUV. Great on gas. So far got me to work during 2 snow storms at ease. Sunroof gives a nice breeze rather than huge air rush through the vehicle. Huge trunk with fold down seats for large items like lumber. My 10 year old cant wait to get license to drive this car 2015.

96 Accord - 1996 Honda Accord
By Curtish - February 9 - 2:00 amGreat car,the wife really enjoys the driveability. The only problem has been at 81K the balance shaft oil seal failed and dumped all the oil out. Honda repaired as a defect with no cost.

Hondas New Car - The Honda Lemon - 1993 Honda Accord
By awright1701 - February 7 - 2:00 amBought the car in 2001 with 46,000 miles. In 1 1/2 years, I increased the mileage to 90,400. I went thru the following in a span of 3-4 mths: Radiator replaced, timing belt & water pump replaced(I can understand about timing belt & water pump) new valve-covered gasket. The transmission dropped. Yes, a Honda transmission failed. Can you believe it?! I rebuilt the transmission & replaced oil-covered gasket. I think the car just sat & sat during its first 8 yrs. without anyone changing the fluids or driving it much. 3-4 mths. & $3000 later, I think I have rebuilt a new car, but I have renamed this 1993 Honda Accord a 2002 Honda Lemon.

Make sure you use genuine Honda parts - 1992 Honda Accord
By Norm1965 - February 6 - 2:00 amGreat car. Bought it used. The prior owner took the car to a national chain muffler repair shop for his repairs. After-market parts are NOT the same as genuine Honda parts! After some breakdowns and lots of cash to diagnose an ignition problem, we found a universal after-market O2 sensor was the cause. Unless its tires or brake pads, use only Honda parts. Trust me!

Life in an Accord - 2002 Honda Accord
By Steven English - February 5 - 3:27 pmVerify basic maintenance has been maintained and this car will last! The only issue Ive ever had is having the transmission replaced at 20k miles. I have owned four Accords. This is now a hand me down for my son as I have a newer model. Drive it, maintain it and it will last forever!

Impressive in every aspect - 1992 Honda Accord
By accordtunerx - February 5 - 2:00 amI have owned my accord for over a year now, and love everything about it. It has great interior and exterior styling and is pretty decent on power too (140 hp)... they only problems ive had with the car were an oxygen sensor that needed replaced and the radiator which had a crack in it... other than that, it is a VERY reliable car which i would reccomend to anyone... ive also added some extra modifications to my accord, which include 17" wheels, lowering springs, upgraded sound system, full performance exhaust system, and cold air intake. All of these upgrades compliment my already great looking and performing accord, and make it even more fun to drive!

Reliable even if it is a little dull... - 1990 Honda Accord
By wester - February 5 - 2:00 amThese cars tend to have a rust problem at the front of the rear wheel wells. Power could be better, but it runs every day.

Not for older adults - 2004 Honda Accord
By Jan Epstein - February 5 - 2:00 amThis is a ver hard car to see out of. I am very short waisted and I just cant see and have to be very carefull when driving. I find that GM cars are much eaiser to drive when you are older and short.
