Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

A great all around car - 1992 Honda Accord
By jusa - March 17 - 2:00 am3/17/03 - submitted We acquired our 1992 Honda Accord LX for 7K $ with 83K mi. in clean condition about 6 years ago. We have spent about 3K $ on service and repairs for it the current mileage is 156K mi. The Accord has proven to be a very pleasant car to ride in. Most of our driving has been around town and short trips. As a result of our good experience with our Accord, we plan to buy another. We hope that Honda is listening.

Close to Perfect! - 2003 Honda Accord
By Mark - March 16 - 7:40 amI have been driving since 1964 in the US and overseas. My family and I have owned scores of cars including a a MGA, two Jaguars, a Landrover, 3 VW Beetles, a Datsun 210 sedan, a Mercedes 200, a Mustang GT, a BMW 518, 2 VW Jettas, a Cadillac Seville, 2 Toyota Corollas, 5 Chevrolets, a Chrysler PT Cruiser, and others. I enjoyed and liked most of my cars very much. If I had to say which of the cars that I have owned is my all time favorite, my Honda Accord EX sedan/auto/leather is on the short list.

Dont Buy This Car - 2007 Honda Accord
By Sara W. - March 15 - 3:23 pmI leased this car with 122 miles on it and at 800 miles I started hearing a loud popping noise coming from behind the driver. I have had it at two Honda dealerships, for a total of five times and was also assigned a Honda Rep out at their HQ in California. The rep says Honda relies on their dealerships and the dealerships say there is nothing wrong. It sounds like a piece of junk! Honda is not taking ownership for this poorly build car. I wouldnt buy or lease this car, and for that matter, considering the way Honda has handled this situation, I wouldnt buy or lease a Honda again either.

Multiple Major Mechanical Problems - 1998 Honda Accord
By timp - March 14 - 10:00 amThe first five years of ownership were exactly what I expected from a Honda. Very reliable. However, in the last 11 months Ive had to replace both the transmission and the engine totaling over $6k in repairs. The selling dealer is the same as the servicing and I have maticulous service records. In both major repair cases neither Honda or the dealer have helped other then stating the major failures were extremely rare. A lot of good that did me. After driving Hondas for the last 12 years, this may be my last!

Active safety at reasonable price - 2016 Honda Accord
By Harold Manasa - March 12 - 10:19 amFor under $25k, the Honda Accord LX CVT sensing has active braking and lane mitigation. Too bad, theres no audio or active braking when backing up. Quality of interior materials is not up to VW standards, but, much more car for the money, and should be reliable. Also, the views out of the car are better than most these days.

11 great years - 1993 Honda Accord
By nanook - March 11 - 2:00 amBought it new and got 202,000 miles before the tranny blew. Low maintenance costs throughout. Change the oil and it just keeps on going. I drive hard commuter miles and got my moneys worth and then some.

Good Car - 2008 Honda Accord
By randy - March 10 - 4:16 pmBought this car after having 7 Toyotas. Liked the looks and the value. However there are some issues. There is a white substance that comes through the heater/AC vents on the dash. Dealer has no idea what is causing this. States he will get back to me after talking to the factory, but so far nothing. Also the EX-L 4 cyl. needs power seats on the passenger side. Feels like your riding on the floor. Thought gas mileage would be better. Only getting 23 combined highway/city. My wifes Camry 4 cyl. gets 28 mostly city driving.

GREAT CAR - 2006 Honda Accord
By Bobby - March 9 - 7:16 pmThe LX SPECIAL EDITION is a great car for the price compared to higher priced American cars in the same class. This car is fun to drive and very reliable. Great job Honda keep building cars people want to own for a long time.
