Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

My 2nd Honda Accord Coupe - 2006 Honda Accord
By Dab - May 15 - 2:50 pmI traded my 2000 Accord Coupe back in 2002, for a Mazda. Worst Mistake I Ever Made...that is until I traded my 2002 Mazda for a Brand New 2006 Accord Coupe! Smartest Move ever made! The Gas Mileage is AWSOME! The Horsepower is more than necessary when needed. I still get surprised when I hit the gas from a complete stop or to pass on the Highway. Take it from me...my original Honda Accord Coupe did not give me any problems at all. The are one of the MOST reliable cars on the road. I expect my NEW 06 Model will be just as dependable, if not better.

Sporty coupe that holds it own - 2008 Honda Accord
By Accordguy0325 - May 14 - 12:30 pmI purchased a 2008 Accord coupe automatic in EX trim a couple days ago and am quite satisfied. The styling is incredible, it is put together well, rides/handles well, is pretty quiet, and overall seems very solid. The steering is excellent, provides good feedback and this car is fun to drive (although may be more fun with a manual transmission). I traded in a 2003 Accord LX sedan and must say- the 2008 Accord with the 190 horsepower engine is a nice improvement. I would definitely reccomend the Accord 2 door to anyone looking for a sporty car that will be virtually flawless in reliability, and retain a good portion of its value down the road.

Reliable Car with CV boot problems - 1990 Honda Accord
By Thebirdman - May 14 - 2:00 amThe 1990 Honda Accord is a very reliable car with very little mechanical problems. The only problems you will have with this car are the cv boots and the paint. The CV boots will not last very long and the paint will fade on the hood and around the tires.

Man, this car was awful. - 1990 Honda Accord
By LemonHonda - May 14 - 2:00 amI had an immeasurable amount of trouble with this car. I had oil leaks from three seperate spots, a broken resonating thinger (chamber? I forget, but it made a heck of a lot of noise). My muffler broke off a piece and spat it back into the pipe, I had a leaky trunk (compounded by a faulty drain, making a huge puddle), I had to replace the mesh part of the exhaust pipe, had to replace the clutch, had a torn CV boot, improper idling, broken reverse gear, had a blown head gasket, and had a massive problem with the radiator (which I did not fix before getting rid of the car). All this at 115k miles and proper maintenance.

Honda Accords - 2005 Honda Accord
By Linda Smith - May 14 - 12:56 amI LOVE THIS CAR! It has everything I was wanting. It drives & rides like a luxury car. The Accord costs a little more than an average car, but after owning one I will never buy anything else. I knew they were awesome looking, but I had no idea what detail they put in to making them.

Love This Car - 2003 Honda Accord
By KevinV - May 13 - 10:00 amLove this car!! The 4 cylinder engine w/the 5 spd auto is outstanding. It has plenty of power for the highway as well as mountain roads. Driving this car gives me the impression that Im driving something alot more expensive. The overall quality is excellent.

so far so good - 1990 Honda Accord
By sweetcheeks - May 11 - 2:00 amPurchased with 123,000 on it, now has 176,000 and the problems are starting to occur, which I guess should be expected at such high miles. Things I have had to fix in the last year. 1. had to install new speed sensor. 2. alternator had to be replaced. 3. front cv joints. Power drivers window no longer works. Seems to be some problem with the electrical system, I am constantly putting new bulbs in brake, side marker and parking lights. Power locks, sometimes car will lock when shutting door, always have spare keey!! Lots of front end noise although I have had it inspected and there is nothing wrong! All in all though this has been an excellent reliable car.

The car that makes me smile :) - 2016 Honda Accord
By Accord driver - May 10 - 1:28 pmWe were looking for most reliable, comfortable, low maintenance cost car that would drive tall guy from A to B. It should be powerful and with good MPG… We have tested Optima, Sonata, Mazda 6, Outback, Escape & Avalon. I fell in love with Accord 2016...Instantly, so I am biased now :). From the moment I sit in a car it was easy to see myself driving it. About Accord: 1) I do like 2016 design for its aggressive front stylish rear and sporty sides. Beautifully designed front grill and wheels. 2) I do like Android connectivity. Based on reviews I was looking for EX-L with no navigation and sensing. I love my google map on Galaxy and Honda gives you an amazing technology to “mirror†your screen for several apps like Pandora, Google map, Amazon music, Phone/text etc simply connect it by USB cord (1.5 amp). I love google map (free updates) so there is no need to pay extra for Honda navigation & its expensive updates. Also Bluetooth works just fine when my galaxy connected via cord… not sure about IPhone. BTW, it does connect Skype conversation which is amazing. 3) Speech recognition is very friendly! Click on microphone and send message to any number while driving … it’s pretty accurate. 4) I do love power of V6 and automatic transmission. It’s beyond Optima &Sonata options with much better fuel efficiency. (Honda’s 278 HP and 21/34 mpg VS Korean 2.0 turbo with 20/ 31mpg). When you click economizer button accord makes it even more efficient. With V6 it does turn off 3 cylinders on a freeway and my avg mpg is about 40 or higher. 5) It’s Quiet. It’s a truly quiet vehicle. We test drove Optima & Sonata and the road noise was a killer. We could not hear each other… no exaggerations. May be a little. 6) Also Honda sound system is amazing! EX-L does have 7 speaker system (6+1) and the quality is outstanding much better then Infinity system in Kia. Pandora Jazz#$%^& just phenomenal. 7) We saw very good Mazda 6 reviews online but we didn’t like the car. 8) We think Honda Accord has made a big step forward in design while nice & attractive Optima became more & more boring and Camry… what have you done!? 9) Acceleration is amazing, turning radius is good. 2nd row is super roomy (5’11†person sits very comfy behind driver). 10) Good Michelin tires with pretty 17†discs. 11) Crosstour was an option as well but price was higher and it’s discontinued… First tank of gas gave us 26 mpg avg fuel efficiency. With second one we have a little above 28. We do like exterior white color a lot. It comes with ivory interior which is nice but requires a bit of cleaning.
