Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

You call this a car - 2002 Honda Accord
By WstCst - July 6 - 8:53 amI bought a Honda because people say they are great cars, are they ever wrong. The car feels very cheap and has to be taken into the shop every other week or so to fix some glitch. The interior quality is poor, not up to the standards of even the poorest domestic car. The gas milege, a measly 24 MPG quite frankly stinks. The price for this car was way to much for the car that you get. The pathetic engine can barely propel the car down the road, and the transmission has to down shift to even go around corners. Dont buy this vehicle

Great car - 1995 Honda Accord
By bugox - July 3 - 2:00 amThis is my fourth Honda/Acura. I have owned the car since new. It has 100k and the only thing I have done is routine stuff-tune ups, brakes, tires and battery. Mostly city driving too. Dont love the power, not thrilled by the styling, but it does what its supposed to do-gets me from point a to b reliably and fairly cheap.

STIFF AND THIRSTY!!!! - 2009 Honda Accord
By stadium722 - July 2 - 11:50 amHow do these companies get away with misleading mileage estimates? I have had my 4CYL Accord EX-L for almost a month and have yet to break the 22 m.p.g barrier on mixed or extended highway trips!! The acceleration for the 190 h.p is very good and the steering is nicely weighted. The ride though is very stiff and the leather drivers seat is even stiffer. I have a 37 mile one way drive to work and it is annoying trying to find a comfortable seating position. Honda please isolate the road noises luckily it has a good radio to try and drown out the LOUD road noise. I think higher profile tires might soften and quiet the ride...MAYBE!! Ill need the high resale value on the trade in SOON!!

Bulletproof reliability, short on zoom - 1997 Honda Accord
By honderfan - July 1 - 10:00 amI have had this Accord LX for over 6 years now. Never had any trouble with it other than a couple of minor issues. Change the oil and put gas in it, and it will go... The engine is extremely anemic for a car this size, and this is *with* a manual tranny!! And ift he AC is on, foeget about any accelerations... The performance and corenering leaves a lot to be desired as well. But if you are ever looking for a good, reliable tranport to get you from point A to point B, look no further than this car.

Excellent Car - 2000 Honda Accord
By schmammel - July 1 - 10:00 amThis is an excellent, extremely reliable car with outstanding service available. My only complaint is that the dealers know how popular the car is and thus the purchasing experience is not pleasant.

Should have a 3-point star on the hood! - 2003 Honda Accord
By Paul C - July 1 - 10:00 amThis car could have Mercedes Badges on it and everyone would believe it was German. Silky smooth power and lots of it. Top notch build quality. Ultra quiet and smooth with terrific handling. I never thought Id say it but the Honda NAV system is worth $2000! The best integrated NAV systme ever put in an automobile. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for an upscale family sedan. Add a spoiler to correct that ugly tail that honda designed. It makes all the difference IMO.

Best car Ive ever owned! - 1991 Honda Accord
By Bonanzagirl - June 30 - 2:00 amI bought this one-owner car used with 75000 miles on it from the dealership it looked like new. Now has over 263,000 miles and still going strong! Has one small rust spot in front of both rear wheels, but thats it. The only maintenance its required (other than oil changes and tires) is new alternator (last year), new distributor cap assembly and timing belts. The A/C finally gave out this summer and will need some work. This car has been SO reliable - it has started EVERY DAY since Ive owned it! And its great in snow. I will drive it until it literally falls apart, so Ill have it for a quite a while longer!
