Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • 2008 Honda Accord EXL V6 4Dr - 2008 Honda Accord

Purchased my 4dr EXL V6 2 weeks ago. Have put approx 175 highway miles on it. VCM/Tranny on highway are very noticable to the point it is annoying. The VCM/Tranny switching back and forth make you wonder what the car is doing all the time. Seats are stiff but once adjusted seem to become more comfortable. Suspension/driving are better than past Accords and engine has plenty of power. Overall an improvement over older Accords but VCM/Tranny issues have me concerned about the longetivity of this car.

  • Great Car! - 2006 Honda Accord

The first sedan Ive owned in 24 yrs. The handling and stability are outstanding with plenty of power producing a very comfortable ride. The engine is very quiet for a V-6.

  • AWFUL Info-system - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

Could not be more disappointed in Honda! Quality control poor. The most annoying part with my brand new car is the Audio module that intermittently (but most of the time) malfunctions. Every time I switch from another module (Info, Navi, or Phone) to the Audio while driving, the frigging system thinks I just started the car, a black screen appears then HondaLink Logo and then a warning message about safe operation of the vehicle - the same sequence that appears when you first start the car. All this paralyzes the system for 10-15 seconds, and only after that, finally, the Audio features reappear, with radio stations or XM. Worse, the sound loses stereo!!! and only the right side plays.

  • Headlight performance - 2008 Honda Accord

Bought this car when they first came out. After a couple of months noticed the headlights flickering. Honda WILL NOT fix this car so it is now going to arbritration. This car is a disaster... road noise is horrible, stereo sucks, terrible gas mileage etc. Do not buy this car.

  • Fantastic Car - 2016 Honda Accord
    By -

My first Honda. This is a high quality car all around. Smooth, quiet, comfortable and roomy. The front seats are very comfortable. I actually like the CVT transmission. Sure, low end torque is not great, but it is adequate. I never find myself uncomfortable, wishing for more power. At higher RPMs the little engine really pulls hard. Its impressive. There are quieter cars, but it is reasonably quiet. The gas mileage is insane! Rated at 27/37, I actually get better than 27 in pure city driving. I get close to 30mpg in the city. The new styling of the 2016 model is very attractive. Steering wheel controls work well for all of the infotainment system. I rarely use the actual touch screen. Honda Sensing is a nice technology. Its a very good deal for the price. Lane keeping assist actually allows you to relax a little bit more while driving because it makes all the minor adjustments for you. Collision mitigation can be fooled in certain situations, but not a problem, it can be overridden by the driver applying gas and/or steering. BTW - there is a trunk access button on the rear of the car. It is located slightly offset to the right side under the lip of the trunk. Another reviewer said the only way in was using the FOB, which is incorrect. Oh, and I love the push button start and the keyless entry. This is my first experience with it and it is great. I just walk up to the car with the key fob in my pocket and touch the handle, and the car unlocks. The key never leaves my pocket. When I leave and want to lock the car, I just press the button on the outside door handle.

  • Best used car I have ever owned. - 1991 Honda Accord
    By -

I have owned many used cars in the past, and this one puts to rest the feeling that I will need to buy another anytime soon. I got a whole lot more than I paid for. At 115,000 miles, I cannot believe the smoothness of the ride and how immacualet the interior is. I think I will be able to get another EASY 100,000 miles out of it. Great car.

  • Honda EX wagon - 1994 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought my 1994 Accord Wagon used in 1997 with 35,000 miles. I now have 133,700 miles on this trouble free car. The only weak part of Hondas are the brakes. It rides well, has a peppy engine, and looks great. I love the interior. I buy another one tomorrow if Honda would only import a wagon again. (They sell one in Japan and Europe.)

  • Great Value for your money - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my 3rd Honda, I currently own a 2002 CRV, and had a 1988 Accord. After doing extensive search to replace my wifes Saturn, the Honda Accord was a hands down winner. I seriously looked at the Camry, which had a quieter road noise than the Accord but not by much, but everything else was a win by the Accord. I am impressed by the comfortable ride ,all the features as well as all the standard saftey features that it comes with, Anti-lock brakes, side air bags, also Goverment crash test results. Honda provides the best value for the money by several thousands of dollars. The heated seats and power driver seat is also a nice feature.

  • High cost of Ownership - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

2nd set of brakes at 50,000 miles. NEVER ever had this problem with any car I owned, let alone Accords. No change in driving habits. At $700+ a brake job, it adds up. Miss my 2004 Accord. Sold with 200,000 miles 1.5 years ago and I still see it around town. At year end, Ill look at the Lexus.
