Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Fantastic Car!!! - 1998 Honda Accord
By angelcake73 - July 30 - 10:00 amYou cant ask for a better vehicle, especially for those like me whose primary concern was the pricing. I bought this used last year, the dealership was wonderfully helpful, no- pressure, and I have thoroughly enjoyed driving this car since. The Accord has a great design, very comfortable, and extremely reliable mechanically. I will probably never drive anything else except Hondas, based on my experience with this car and with the dealership.

This Car Rocks My World! - 2006 Honda Accord
By Athena - July 29 - 5:13 pmThis is my third new car in 5 years, and by far has been my favorite. The acceleration is awesome. I drive an average of 300 miles a day for my job, so a comfortable car yet fun car is a must! This car is so comfortable, peppy, and absolutely beautiful. The aerodynamic body design and styling is a work of art! The gas mileage is average for a V6, but I think the acceleration on this tops my 2003 Mustang GT, which had a 4.6L V8. Others complain about the road noise, but I dont find it to be too bad. Besides, I am too busy blaring the clear and totally awesome sound system! XM is a nice feature.

Great car - 1993 Honda Accord
By Stromson - July 29 - 2:00 amBought this car last summer and its been sweet. Fuel economy is pretty good and its rather zippy for such an old car with low horsepower and torque. Ive had no problems except with a broken door-handle but that was there when we bought it. Im planning to upgrade the exaust and intake very shortly to give it a little more boost. Planning on having this car for a long time. (It only has 74000 miles on it).

Great upgrade from Civic - 2009 Honda Accord
By Mychal - July 27 - 2:40 amJust purchased the 2009 Honda Accord EXL. What an upgrade from the 2006 Civic EX that I had. Being the 4th Honda Ive owned Im definitely a loyal Honda owner and the newest Accord reaffirms my loyalty. Great styling, handling and features for the price. I highly recommend any Honda, but especially the Accord.

Its fun but the mileage isnt close to what they claim. - 2013 Honda Accord
By nperrry - July 27 - 12:50 amI went from a Infiniti M35 to the 2013 Accord Coupe. I love the design of the car and its a blast to drive. My complaint is this. Im not getting anywhere near the mileage they claim to get in the city. Ive even drove like a little ole man from Pasadena just to see if I could get it to improve. Im getting like 13 or 14 MPG in the city, WITH THE ECON BUTTON ON. Ive called the dealer and they claim that the car needs to break in, have at least 5000 miles on it. Well I sure hope this is true because as it stands now, Id have kept my Infiniti and am counting the months until I can drop this Honda off at the dealer and go get another Infiniti.

2003 Accord - it really sucks! - 2003 Honda Accord
By shak-atak - July 26 - 2:00 amMy wife and I bought a brand-new 2003 Accord b/c of its reliability However, we have been very disappointed, for the main reason we bought the car. After the 1st month we had to have the entire steering system replaced. Ever since then it has been down hill. The dealership we used in Atlanta was very unhelpful with these entire processes. The car now has some kind of electrical problems and the little pop open holder under the stereo sticks constantly it does not open easily anymore. I am glad we bought the extended warranty b/c we will need it. My wife has always been Camry loyal and I am upset now that we didnÂ’t buy one, b/c I didnÂ’t like the styling.

Reliability Nope!!! - 1999 Honda Accord
By Pepper81 - July 24 - 10:00 amI decided to cut down on the mileage of my Mercedes which had 240K miles and get a reliable yet economical car. Honda was recommended. The check engine light came on at 50K miles. It was a faulty EGR valve. Honda sent me a service notice that the design in the EGR valves were faulty and that for 7 years or 80K miles if the check engine light came on and it was determined to be the EGR valve, that it would be replaced. At 70K miles the EGR valve replaced again. Next the trans started slipping and acting erractic. A $630 repair job and a bandage fix. Recommendation a replacement trans for $4600. Now hub bearing, a gasket causing antifreeze leak have appeared.

Sensible - 2002 Honda Accord
By AlexVAGuy - July 24 - 10:00 amI traded a 2000 Golf for this 2002 Accord after the Golf required major engine work at 12,000 miles. The 4-cylinder LEV engine could use a little more low-end grunt, but its smooth and quiet. Im only getting 22 MPG, mostly around town - maybe itll improve with age. The car seems extremely well built and is great on trips - I feel like Im driving a luxury car. Its roomy and comfortable for 4 adults, too. Got a great deal from Landmark Honda, with minimal aggravation. The Honda is smooth, quiet and pleasant - it might be a middle-aged persons car lacking in verve, but I feel like itll never let me down.
