Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

08 EX oil burner - 2009 Honda Accord
By Art Gopfert - August 1 - 10:40 amBought this in 9/08 and was in the shop constantly. My biggest concern was the oil usage, one qt every 1500 miles. Hondas official response after monitoring its consumption for 3 mo. was "as long as it didnt burn one qt every 1000 miles, it was normal". Thats their official response, and that was not coming from the dealer, that was HONDA. Other concerns: one burned out cat converter, (daaa wonder why), 4 tires replaced due to vibration at hwy speeds, never did solve the vibration. 2nd gear syncros not messing without a grind and missed shift. (no it was not my shifting expertise, Honda) I was told by Honda that the oil burning would go away, maybe. Ya, right! I sold this gem 3 mo ago.

1998 Accord EX V6 Coupe - 1998 Honda Accord
By TMD - July 31 - 2:00 amHonda should have had the manual transmission produced in the year V6 coupe. I would have rated it a 10 for "fun to drive" then. No issues with it. I did have to take it to the dealer at about 65k miles when the check engine light came on. Free-of- charge, the Honda dealership reprogrammed the EGR system (exhaust gas recirc) and the light hasnt came on since. .

It keeps on going Strong! - 1992 Honda Accord
By Brian Leding - July 31 - 2:00 amTotal of 211K miles and still runs like new. All service and maint. has been kept up. Front axles have had to be replaced twice and the water pump once. Condensation from the A/C dripped into the radio and shorted it out. The A/C developed a slow leak after my wife wrecked it once. Those are the only issues Ive had with this car. It is easily the best car Ive ever owned. Interior is still holding up really well. The arm rest has some wear on it. Wonderful car. I cant say it enough. Highly recommended. Very reliable transportation. Car holds its resale value well too.

My first Honda Accord - 2004 Honda Accord
By Nevada Guy - July 31 - 2:00 amThis is my first Honda Accord. Ive owned/leased Camrys and Altimas before and Im really impressed! We purchased the EX sedan with side curtain airbags. The ergonomics work very well for us older baby boomers (even the larger radio/clock displays are a nice touch). The only fault I can find with this car is this - Im kinda bottom heavy (ok, my wife says FAT) and the harder foam rubber "bolsters" puts too much pressure on my hips and make for an uncomfortable driving position. If it wasnt for that, its probably the best car of its type!!!

Why buy an Acura ? - 2004 Honda Accord
By coljr01431 - July 31 - 2:00 amMy friend drives a great Acura TL which I used to covet until I bought my much less expensive Accord. Ill match my Accords comfort, performance, and driving fun against the 2003 TL any day and Ill take the money I saved when purchasing and the money saved using regular rather than premium gas and buy a wide screen TV for my family room.

Seventh Honda Accord - 2008 Honda Accord
By hilltopper - July 31 - 1:23 amThis is my seventh Accord. The new body styling is a big plus and the interior has the look of a more expensive vehicle. All things considered Honda gives you the best value for the price. Many standard features are options on the Altima and Camery. Not sold on the VCM.

2 Yr review - 2000 Honda Accord
By SFcommuter - July 30 - 10:00 am2+ yrs, 32K mi. Reliability great. Rides smoothly at 85mph. But wind noise really loud over 60mph. Must crank up radio 4 levels on hwy. 4 cyl engine is peppy. I sometimes pop down to 4th to pass (although car is automatic). Seats way too hard during long commutes. I bought a furry sheep skin seat cover and this helps. Leather seats better? Test rides not long enough to notice hard seats & wind noise. Interior is clean and easy to use. The ABS, keyless entry and aluminum wheel rims are a nice value w/ the SE. Overall, Im still very pleased with this car. Its a smart buy. The longer I have the car, the more it becomes a dependable/reliable friend.
