Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Seats - 2000 Honda Accord
By Doris - August 29 - 9:16 pmI found the seats a little hard. I think Honda should do a survey to new customers after they have owned their cars for about a year and ask what they like the least so they could perhaps improve on it or change it. Overall, Hondas are very good cars.

My Review - 2004 Honda Accord
By chrsmoos - August 29 - 7:53 pmAwesome vehicle. A far car from my previous 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. Beautifully executed interior. Good power and handling and smooth ride.

Great Car - 2010 Honda Accord
By Tom M - August 29 - 8:46 amJust rolled over 3000 miles and everything is just right. Went with an Accord for the bulletproof reliability and was pleasantly surprised by the speed, handling, and overall size of the thing. Its a big car, and getting into the back seats is a challenge, but it is very comfortable. The trunk is huge! The gearbox is lazy sometimes and the cylinder deactivation can get really annoying when trying to quickly overtake. Rapidly reengaging all 6 pots to light back up feels like the car is kicking down 3 gears and there is a delay, but only briefly. I recorded 5.6 seconds to 60, which for a relatively heavy and front wheel drive car, is amazing. MPG is about 27 highway, 20 city with a light foot.

Magical - 2013 Honda Accord
By afghouri - August 28 - 5:09 pmThe midcar sedan segment is hyper competitive but there is a huge difference between styling vs. substance. I looked at several cool looking, swoopy cars with fascinating digital dashboards, but nothing compared to the Hondas driving experience, and I drove them back to back. Interior materials and fit and finish are now a 10 out of 10 (prior models was really unacceptable). I slightly miss the double wishbone suspension but its hard to really notice due to the virtually flawless execution of the package as a whole. If you value the driving experience more than just styling and appearance, this is the sedan to own - especially given its reliability. A masterpiece of engineering

Bad Gas Fuel Economy for my Accord - 2004 Honda Accord
By Sofiana - August 27 - 10:00 amCompared to my previous car was a Nissan Maxima. I love the soft quiet ride and the sound system is SUPERB. I love this version of the red color and the styling. The only thing stopping this from being a perfect car is the horrendous gas mileage ( I get between 14 to 16 MPG highway which is 80% of my driving). I learned from the Service Manager at the Dealer that is apparently a common problem with Accords which is contrary to the representations on the sticker and all the literature. To make it worse, I am told that fuel mileage is NOT COVERED by the warranty and for them to work on it could get very expensive fast. All this after spending $20K.

The Honda Accord that changed my life... - 1995 Honda Accord
By twilightbliss - August 26 - 2:00 amWhen I saw my 1995 Honda Accord EX coupe for the first time, I fell in love. The car is so beautiful inside and out. The body style makes it hard to believe its a 95 because it is timeless. It has great acceleration and is wonderful on gas, which is very useful now with the high gas prices.

04 Acura TL to 05 Accord Hybrid switch - 2005 Honda Accord
By undertoad - August 25 - 4:20 pmAfter 12 months & 25000 + miles in a new TL enough of the hard nose suspension, growly engine and myriad squeeks and rattles. It cost me about 13 cents/mile to switch to the Acccord Hybrid w/Nav but if the first week and 1000 miles are any indication, I wont regret it abit. Fit and finish is noticably better and not a loose piece of plastic anywhere. Low profile tires may be pretty but you pay for it in your butt. The Accord may not corner like the TL but it certainly is smoother AND just as quiet on smooth surfaces. At a steady 60 mph in rural NC the needle hovers around 42 mpg and its not even broken in yet! I gave up a sexy broad for an honest woman.

After 10,000 Miles, heres my review - 2006 Honda Accord
By Jim Suss - August 23 - 1:23 pmYes its dependable. It has some get up and go. But its a dull, boring car. The automatic transmission grabs and seems clunky. Descending hills and approaching stops, the transmission holds the car back and there is no way to turn this "feature" off. Apparently the feature is called "brake assist", but there needs to be an off button for this and there is not. Its very tough to get used to. I rented a Maxima on a recent trip and that was VERY nice. Fast, fun to drive, more leg room and no grabby transmission. In my opinion, if youre interested in the Accord, test drive the Maxima first.

Great car! - 2002 Honda Accord
By klowhorn - August 23 - 2:00 amThis is my second import, my first was a 1999 Mitsubishi Galant. This car is so much better. It is quicker off the line even though horse power ratings are the same. It rides smoother, has better construction, and better fit, finish, and quality of materials.
