Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Exactly What We Expected - 2005 Honda Accord
By MarkB - September 13 - 10:26 pmHave owned 3 previous Hondas going back to 1981. The 2005 LX is nothing fancy in terms of features, but we werent looking for lots of glitz with this car. Its quiet, the VTEC 4 has plenty of pop, you can easily hit 70 on the on ramp. Weve been getting 27mpg, mix of city and highway. Seats are comfortable, layout of interior and storage locations are nice and make sense. Trunk space is more than youd expect looking at the exterior.

1995 Honda Accord LX - 1995 Honda Accord
By shadow - September 13 - 2:00 amWe have own this vehicle since it was brand new in late 94. We have had no problems and just recently took it in to replace all the belts on it with only 73,000 miles we have continued to get 30 MPG or better on the highway with the lowest being 23MPG in town in the cold winter that Alaska can offer. this is our 4 Honda vehicle we owned.

Good but not great - 1998 Honda Accord
By hondolay - September 13 - 2:00 amIve had 3 recalls and six additional items go wrong with this car in five years/50,000 miles - since it was new - a record for any car Ive owned in the last 35 years. Service never could get the sunroof to quit rattling (not one of the items I refer to above). Im tired of camping out at the Dealers. The seats are too hard and my butt hurts after a couple of hours of driving - sometimes after 1/2 hour. Insurance it surprisingly pricey for this car. Rock solid engine. Rock solid suspension. Decent handling but its no sportscar - see S2000. Good fuel economy. Why do headlights need to fail after five years?

Reliable Car - 1993 Honda Accord
By Jirkman - September 11 - 10:00 amIve had my "top of the line" Honda (Accord SE) for about half year. I purchased it with 125K and its been allright. I had to replace front suspention springs and struts, but other than that, its very reliable car. I also enjoy the gas mileage on the highways. Its significantly worse in town though! Id recomend the Accord to all of you who want relatively cheap but reliable car that will last :-)

Back Window Tinting - 2002 Honda Accord
By disgruntled - September 11 - 10:00 amWith the increase of sport utility vehicles, it becomes a nuisance driving in front of one, with their glaring headlights shining on your eyes. Regardless if the rear view mirror has a day and night option, as in all my other vehicles, I have always tinted the back windows, which I had done to the Accord. However, the window tinting shop I went to, told me the Accord’s back window on the top has a rough black dotted exterior which when putting on a tinted film does not blend into the glass smoothly, and thus creating a bubbly look which was precisely what happened after he installed the tint.

Good value! - 2002 Honda Accord
By SSAS - September 11 - 10:00 amJust got this Car, 1st Honda. Great pick-up from the VTEC 4 banger. I do not know why others feel it needs more. Handles nicely with the 15 inch wheels and front and rear sway bar on the LX. I love the stiffer suspension. Great ergonomics. I do not have to reach for 0the controls. Quite interior and roomy. Price of $17,000 for a 2002 LX auto and 2.9% was hard to pass up.
