Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

This is my 2nd Honda, my 1st was an 85 Accord Hatchback. The only time either Honda wouldnt start was when the battery was dead. My Wagon has 126,000 miles & going strong. Will buy another Honda when the wagon dies....

Ive always loved the timeless styling of this generation of Accords. It also is the perfect size IMO (new cars are getting way too big). Amazingly, even with 87k miles, my black 10th Anniversary Edition Accords automatic transmission shifts almost as smooth as my 2000 Camry XLE V6. My Accords ride is a harsher than my Camry, but the Accord is much more "fun" to the drive.

  • This is a FAMILY sedan?! - 2013 Honda Accord

I never would have dreamed of owning a Honda Accord. Ive seen them all of my life and regarded them as unremarkable. However, it came time for a new car and I tested the Accord. I took a drive in the V4 but opted for the V6 due to the automatic transmission and the power behind the engine. I have ZERO regrets with my purchase. The engine of the V6 pleasantly roars to life with impressive speed and smooth shifting. The interior is luxurious with great build quality and offers more convenience than I could ever want. My only qualms are that the Accord takes rough roads and bumps hard and that while sporty - it could be more fun to drive. Overall, great purchase and overall excellent car

    1994 300k, 1997 200k, 1997 138k--this is 2016--all 3 working great and over 30 mpg. Never had Toyota as dependable.

  • Love the Accord! - 1994 Honda Accord

My dad bought me this car for highschool and I absolutely loved it. The lady we bought it from either didnt take very good care of it (maintence- oil, transmission fluid*) and/or mine was put together on a Friday and finished on a Monday. We had it for roughly a year and the transmission went out. So, take care of your accord. But other then that it was just minor things. We bought it with 94K and Ive put 40k on it, and havent had any problems. This year it is actually being passed on to my brother. He wasnt wanting a hand-me- down, but changed his mind when I modified it a bit with lights and an intake. But I definately recommend buying an Accord.

  • Swell Choice - better than a Toyota - 2005 Honda Accord

Honda is the best choice in vehicles, I own (4) of them now. I own (3) 4-door Sedan Accords for the family, and wanted a Coupe for myself. The 4- cylinder is a great choice – as smooth and quiet as a sewing machine, with still with plenty of power for a car this size. Incredible mileage – 35 MPG on the highway, and 29-30 MPG to and from work. Transmission (5 speed auto) shifting is silky smooth, and engine speed at 60mph runs effortlessly at 1900 rpm’s.

This car is what we have known to love from Accords. Love the active safety features.

  • Still worth it - 1996 Honda Accord

I am the original owner and have had no major problems with this car. This is my fourth Honda and third Accord. Im convinced. If and when this car bitest the dust, I will definitely buy another one. I keep up regular maintenance on it.. I take care of it and it takes care of me!

  • BEST CHOICE IN ITS CLASS ! - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I have owned this vehicle for about four months. The accord 0ffered more options and a more sporty ride compared to other vehicles in its class (ie Camry & Altima . The resale value on a honda is unmatched for its price range. The stereo and heat/ac controls are relatively easy to operate while driving. The l.e.d spedometer is entertaining and easy to read. The 160mph top speed on the speedometer makes driving slow even slower.
