Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Simple, reliable machine - 1990 Honda Accord
By Snowbelt Survivor - October 8 - 2:00 amWith over 150,000 miles on it, our Hondas still running strong, and the steering is still tight and nimble. Uses zero quarts of oil between changes. Timing belt needs to be changed at regular intervals, and the slightest warping of your rotors will cause your steering wheel to shimmy going down the road. In the rust belt, the rear wheel well area rusts out even if the rest of your Hondas bohdy is in great shape. Water gets trapped in here with no way out. Fortunately, our local body shop cut out the rust and welded in new pre- formed sheet metal on both sides for under $800.

A Car Enthusiasts Hybrid - 2005 Honda Accord
By Southern Oregonian - October 7 - 10:00 pmThe days of choosing between a fuel-efficient "pregnant rollerskate" and a car that passes everything but a gas station are over. The Accord Hybrid nicely packages performance with fuel economy. The exceptional marriage of the vaunted 3.0L V- TEC V6 engine with an electric motor is definitely the vehicles mechanical strength. This is Hondas third-generation IMA project, and it shows far greater refinement than its predecessors. My primary concern rests with Accords standard automatic transmission. It surely contributes to the vehicles "smoothness," but my tranny can be finicky. It waits too long to shift at times and can create a pause-and-burst sensation between first and second gears.

Great bang for the Buck - 2009 Honda Accord
By MJ - October 7 - 9:23 amI have had my Honda for 8months now and thought I would relay my remarks. I currently have 10.5k miles. Now Im a pretty picky man and take attention to detail. The Honda took my expectations above and beyond. Nothing broke or had I had a problem with. It did well in the Chicago winter with heated mirrors and the defrosters are placed well. I love this car. I am getting paint chips but I do ride on the Highways mostly. For those that complain about road noise get better/bigger tires - I hear no noise with the stock 18 low profile tires. Those that complain about the seat, well I never have a problem, perhaps my model has a better seat. Great car - I expected to ride this into the ground at 200k+.

Whats happening to Accords? - 2007 Honda Accord
By k03ep0r - October 6 - 10:16 pmMy last 2001 Accord LX V6 was probably the last best Honda Accord model. I had to trade it in for EX-L V6 and here all my disappointments started. New EX Accord interior design is very good, however leather trim on steering wheel is sticking out on one side, while its flush with plastic on the other side. The car developed rattling noise somewhere in the rear door or behind it. The car is in repair now at only 300 miles on it. Trunk liner and rear door plastic are cheap and not flush with metal.

1995 Accord Sedan Dx - 1995 Honda Accord
By Accord95DX - October 6 - 2:00 amI bought my Accord during the summer of 2001, since that time I have spent money on only oil and gas. The car is very reliable and consistently gets over 30 miles to one gallon of fuel. I have the 5-speed transmission in my Accord and I absolutely love it, shifts are clean and crisp, and downshifting at high-rpms will put a smile on your face. The torque in the lower rpms is lacking, but this is true with all small displacement cars. For being such a heavy car it accelerates very quickly and passing on the highway is a breeze. Overall, the Accord is an all-around good car, from economy to performance.

1992 EX Sedan :: 11 Years - 1992 Honda Accord
By ex_driver_rbs - October 6 - 2:00 amI purchased my 92 EX sedan new after several GM lemons. After nearly 11 years I now have 115,000 (local and highway) miles on the car and not one problem! Routine maintenance and timing belt the only time the car was in the shop. Drives like new except the window motors (slowing down). Plan to keep the car and give to my daughter when she is ready to drive.
