Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

No more Hondas for me - 1994 Honda Accord
By NoMoreHondas - October 17 - 10:00 amIve had two 94 Accords and both had similar and dissimilar problems. First the transmission is the worst I have ever felt in my life. Both Accords I bought had over 100k miles when I bought them. They both had a/c problems. The first one never got cold, the second was cold until the evaporator core busted ($700 problem if Honda does the work). The first one also had a mysterious voltage problem that dimmed the lights at night like the battery was dying. The second one wont start intermittently. The ride quality/handling was sloppy in both cars. Maintenace is expensive - for ex. timing belt and brake rotors are headaches compared to most cars.

I LOVE MY CAR!!! - 2002 Honda Accord
By Elena - October 17 - 7:40 amIve had my EX V6 for about a month, and I absolutely love it. I also looked at the Camry Solara, and although the Solara feels roomier in the rear, it doesnt come standard with the same features as the EX V6. In the Honda, the interior was better, as well as the responsiveness you dont hear as much road noise. The only thing I DONT like about the car is that it doesnt come in a manual transmission. Highly recommended.

Ok car - 2009 Honda Accord
By Jambu - October 17 - 3:30 amI bought this car in a good deal. This is my first Honda. The fuel economy is pretty good. I got over 31 miles in my first few trips (mixed driving in city roads and highways). This car has manual driver seat adjustments. It took a while to adjust the position of seat to get a comfortable posture. The ride is bumpier in bumpy roads. There is lots of road noise in cement roads. The 99 Camry that I owned previously had good suspension and less road noise. The sound quality of the music player is mediocre especially for mp3 songs. I liked the style and it is fun to drive.

1999 Honda - 1999 Honda Accord
By Brownt1 - October 17 - 2:00 amWhile styling has never been a strong suit for Honda, I still like the looks of my 99 Accord. The spacious interior is a plus. The V6 engine is very smooth and delivers serious acceleration when you need it. The variable timing feature however causes a brief pause when you go for the gas. This has been annoying at times, but the overall performance of the engine and transmission make up for this feature. Mechanical issues have been diminimus. The car responds well to periodic maintenance. One mechanic noted at the 33,000 mile oil change that the engine looked barely broken in (a high compliment).

A Bit Disappointed - 2010 Honda Accord
By TexReview - October 16 - 4:43 pmHonestly, I wish I would have spent a bit more money and upgraded to maybe a Buick LaCrosse. The Honda looks great, but after driving it a while, you realize they cut corners (i.e. noise dampening materials). I thought the seats were comfortable until I sat in my moms Buick Lucerne, which is much more comfortable and more quiet. (for around the same price.)Is the Honda reliable? Probably very reliable. But they need to improve on comfort. Road noise is actually very tiring to the mind and body.

New Accord over TSX and used cars - 2006 Honda Accord
By Hondo - October 15 - 7:16 pmThe Accord is stable and agile, but not overly sporty. The five speed shifts smoothly and linked with the four cylinder gets me to and above speed fast enough. I have so many favorite features (see below) that ownership has been wonderful. The controls and interior look great and work with high quality precision. This car has satisfied my hot buttons - quality, value, safety, economy, performance, and space.

Exceptional Value - 2004 Honda Accord
By 2nd Accord - October 14 - 10:00 amMy wife and I have owned both domestic and Japanese cars. We finally settled down on Hondas (Accord and Odyssey) due to "early retirement" of other brands. In March, we were considering a replacement for an aging (1990) Accord and looking at primarily an entry level luxury car (G35, TL, RL, and the likes). We couldnt decide which one to buy until coming across 2004 Accord with EX-L trim. It has all the options we are looking for with a price about 10K less. The deal was made quickly with the help of Internet. After owning it for 2 months, we put 4k on it. The Accord delivers much more than we expected, and is expected to last for many years.
