Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Not scared of suvs anymore - 2005 Honda Accord

I had 3 honda civics in a row and i loved them. I decided to go a little bigger because i was too intimidated by the large suvs on the road and the awful way their drivers drove. Now that im in a bigger car, im a much happier camper. Im also pleased with the ride, look and (hopefully) reliability (its still pretty new) of the accord. It feels like a luxury car for me. Im happy i stepped up a notch.

  • No Title - 1994 Honda Accord

Reasonable car to own. Fair value overall. Disappointed with the front drivers seat - poor back support. Fair performance for a 4 cyl. Adequate gas milage (22 - 25 on average). Terrible rust spot developed on the passenger-side rear, just above and slightly in front of the wheel-well (sp?).

  • Perfect, almost.... - 2007 Honda Accord

I have had this car since late August and I love it. I will start first with the engine and trans. They claim it has 244 hp and I have no reason to doubt. Performance is quite peppy for this class with the 6-spd. The internal design is great except for 2 things. First there is no Aux input for regular MP3 players. I dont have an IPod so their IPod adapter is worthless, forcing me to buy a $100 Blitzsafe aux adapter. Next the Deck shows the auto climate control on it so if you replace the deck you cant see the temp you set. Ride is comfortable and quiet (not Toyota quiet, better then Detroits offerings) handles corners quite nice. Lastly is look, I love it, some dont.

  • My Accord - 2006 Honda Accord

I love this car! It drives like a champ. The engine is so quiet that when I start the car, I second guess if its on. It drives so nice and smooth. You really dont feel any bumps or pot holes. I love the sound system! It rocks! Installing XM radio was a wonderful idea! I love the look of the dash board and how every button is within reach. The buttons on the steering wheel was a great ideat. Over all I rate this car a 10! The price was more than I wanted to spend but I know I will have this car for many years! Honda is a trustworthy brand.

  • Read this before you buy! - 2000 Honda Accord

I purchased my Accord EX sedan in 2000 new. For me it has been dissappointing car. The car rattles from the front dash. The worst feature is the seating, it is very uncomfortable and I can never seem to find the right driving postion. On long trips, you will be fidgeting trying to get comfortable, the lumbar support is poor. The engine lacks and torque. I would advise the V6 as the 4 cyl isnt any fun to drive, it is what it is. The air bag computer has been replaced twice plus recently the a/c compressor exploded and there is an oil leak behind the timing belt which is $770 to fix. I would not purchase another Accord.

I own an Acura TL as well so am evaluating based upon on this. BLUF: Superlative sedan; would not hesitate to purchase again. Positives: Eye- catching appeal; fit and finish exterior/interior; safety features laudable; audio system good esp w/XM radio; interior room spacious; 3.5L V6 scoots; sporty handling and acceleration good; sporty leather seats; highway gas mileage; appearance package worth having; no dealer service yet; Negatives: Tough negotiations w/6 Wash DC dealers; city gas mileage; road noise; no keyless memory link w/driver profiles; steering wheel quality and size; console storage tray; outside mirrors donÂ’t pivot downward when backing; It is a winner and a recommended buy.

  • An All Around Excellent Performer - 2008 Honda Accord

I own a 2006 Maxima which is my daily driver, but on weekends and long trips I chose the Accord. It does not feel as powerful as the Maxima, even though it has about the same horse power rating, but it provides a much more satisfying driving experience, especially on long trips. I took the car on a trip to Quebec last summer. I never felt the fatigue experienced in most of my previous automobiles. It has good power, visibility, trunk space and nice handling. I love the fuel economy, the capability of using regular gas and work to cruise in the "econ" 3 cylinder mode. The car is an all around excellent performer!

  • Gas Mileage Stinks - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

Right from the start the gas mileage has been terrible. Around Orlando, we average 17 mpg. The dealer tested it for 48.5 miles, a combination of city and highway and got 19.4 mpg. Honda of America said this is normal/acceptable. We believe it is the transmission. The transmission shifts somewhat roughly and drags when we take a foot off the gas at slower speeds. We reported the problem to Hondas customer service center. So far, we are totally disappointed with the gas mileage this car is getting. We think we are in for a hassle, based on Hondas initial response.

This is the best car that I have ever owned. I like it so much that I am having a hard time getting rid of it, even though it has now been replaced twice.
