Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

It doesnt seem to want to wear out. It maintains its good looks inside and out. Its one of the prettiest Hondas ever made. The mechanics are second to none.

  • A great car - 1993 Honda Accord

I am now selling my 1993 Honda Accord because, with our kids gone, we have one car too many... but I part with it with great regret. Mileage is good, and it has had no major mechanical problems. Very, very reliable. I have never kept a car with 131,000 miles, but this one drives as good as ever.

Bought a 90 Honda Accord in 2000 with approx. 66000 miles on it. Have it since the last 3-4 years now (approx. 101000 miles on odometer now). The car has an excellent build quality, is roomy and extremely reliable. With just a little regular maintenance like oil change, waxing, cleaning & vacuuming, it has given me the joy of owning an almost new and very reliable car. In every relationship, there has to be equality in giving. In this particular relationship, the car has given me a lot more - I simply love my Honda! I dont have anything negative to say - just a lot of positives - my experience tells me youll never go wrong with Honda.

  • I am so disappointed. - 2002 Honda Accord

I bought my Accord because it was supposed to be so wonderful. I bought it new and Ive had problems with the car since early on. The car now has 51,000. The brake rotors have been resurfaced twice. The door lock motors have all failed. The power window motors have all failed. The air conditioner compressor had to be replaced. The car has never shifted gears smoothly. It gets terrible gas mileage, especially when the air conditioner is on. I am lucky to average 22 mpg and that is driving under the speed limit. My "reliable" Honda has cost me a pile of money in repairs. So far, the engine has not failed, I guess that will be next. I wish I had bought something else.

  • Great Vehicle!!! - 2005 Honda Accord

The EX V6 4dr sedan provides great comfort, performance and value in gasusage. It is a sleek, powerful vehicle that hugs the road and seems to minimize bumps. Handling, speed to merge/pass and noise are just a few factors where this auto excels. This car will take you there faster, quieter and smoother and so much so that one needs to either set the cruise control or keep a close eye on the speedometer as you will get ticketed by unknowingly speeding!

  • My Honda and Me - 2003 Honda Accord

When I decided to buy a new car, I searched and compared for over a month. Being a Ford Truck girl for the last 10 years, my first inclination was to stay with the trucks, but the Honda showed realiability and stability. It has not failed me in either comfort or being the most reliable car I have ever owned. When I trade, it will be a Honda product. The also hold their appreciation which is a plus. I opted for the loaded, leather, navigation, heated seat model and had wood grain added later. It is still a beauty.

This car is a good buy especially if you want a sunroof, alloy wheels, etc. They all come standard in comparison to competing brands which have them as $$ options. I like the handling (not boaty like the Camry), construction, interior comfort, and overall driving experience. My only complaint so far is the mild wind noise from the drivers window (my 93 Corolla did not have that problem). I dont think you will be unhappy with the car unless you pick a defective one off the dealership lot.

Honda has another winner with the 2003 Accord.

  • side impact...say no more.. - 2003 Honda Accord

we had a 2000 accord, and we got that one over a camry and more expensive sedans like the passat due to the fact we have kids in the back seats and the gov side crash tests for accord were nice. Then after a van hit totalled the passenger side of the car, but all three kids walked out of the accord (the car spun adsorbed full impact confined to the door structures).. well we got another accord 2003 LX.
