Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • 1st honda, not disappointed - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

this is my first honda, and im not disappointed. vtec v6 is unreal. all the creature comforts you can ask for. why would anyone buy the tsx and only get the 4cyl. when for less money you have a v6 loaded accord, simply for the acura badge?? doesnt make sense. honda did not disappoint, and the dealership was excellent.

  • BIG DISAPPOINTMENT - Consumer ALERT - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

I submitted a rating about a year ago on this car - it was glowing. Well, no problems except ONE BIG ONE. A recall on the auto transmission. I rated the car all "1" (low), since nothing else matters if the car has a bad transmission that could cause an accident-this is in their recall notice! I asked about the reported tranny issues before I bought the car. I was told the problem was solved in the 04s. I guess not. So now, I have to have Honda put an oil jet in (my car is 2/3 of the mileage to needing a tranny replacement - so it is likely the tranny is damaged at this point - and so I just wait for a failure). THIS IS THE HONDA QUALITY EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT!!! DISAPPOINTED ! ! !

  • Sound investment - 2003 Honda Accord

Its been 1.5 years, and the car responds as well as when I bought it. The extended period of 7500 miles for an oil change helps in forgetting that this car actually has mechanical parts that require maintenance! Ive the V6 with leather, navigational system - the works, and while I did question the need for the navi. system when buying it, it has become indispensible. It has a quick GPS lookup/update which is extremely important. The touch screen is slightly buggy but overall the interface is very intuitive. The voice guidance (configurable in male/female) is non-robot like!! One negative would be the brakes which seem to have worn out sooner than expected.

  • Step up to the plate - 2008 Honda Accord

I think its time Honda stepped up to the plate like Toyota and admit when there is a problem. Headlights are crazy-keeps dimming when driving, Brakes are shot at 22,000 miles, and drivers window makes horrible noise when closing.

  • Great car - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

Ive owned Hondas for the past 12 years and this car is as nice as any Ive had. Performance of the 4cyl. engine seems a bit weaker than my past 2 Accords but is by no means a dog. Complaints about the seats being uncomfortable dont factor into my opinion at all. I find them very comfortable especially for long trips across Texas. I find them a bit low for exit, but not a problem at all when Im in the car. I drive in the El Paso area quite a bit and as far as fuel economy is concerned, I get almost 28 mpg on every tank of gas. This car is a keeper and Ill continue to buy Hondas in the future.

  • Still Not As Quiet As Honda Claims - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

Interior and features are much improved over my 2003 Accord EX-L V-6. However, there was no signifigant improvement in the handling or ride of this car over my 2003 and it was very noisy on rough pavement and the suspension let me hear every imperfection in the road.

  • An Excellent Commuter - 2001 Honda Accord
    By -

Purchased my 2001 Honda Accord EX V6 about 4 months ago, and I have to say it is absolutely wonderful so far. It was previously owned by an elderly lady who bought it brand new, and she took great care of it. The exterior look is timeless and simple, and the interior is practical and very comfortable. Ride quality is also superb for a 2001 with 146k, road noise is minimal. My only complaint with the drive is the amount of body roll, which should be expected for a car this size. I also have a gripe with the MPG, which again should be expected with a 3.0 V6, but is far off from the estimated MPG. I average about 19mpg, compared to the 26mpg that is commonly advertised. My only other complaint is the transmission, which should have never been coupled with this torquey V6. My transmission hasnt given me issues yet, but the shifts are not exactly smooth, and Ive read numerous complaints about transmission failure. Overall, it is an excellent car and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an inexpensive and comfortable ride.

  • Best so far! - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

All the inside of the car works great. Controls are easy to read and love the climate control. I must say the 4 has all the horse. The car key was big in the hand at first, But it does some great things, Door and trunk opener. Another Great option on keys you can hold open button on for 3-4 sec and all 4 windows open. Nice leather seats, like the feel.

  • 1997 SE HONDA ACCORD - 1997 Honda Accord

I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED THE 1997 HONDA ACCORD. I HAVE HAD FEW MECHANICAL PROBLEMS. I WILL NOTE THAT I HAVE HAD 2 SENSORS GO OUT, FORTUNATELY THEY WERE COVERED UNDER THE HONDA EMISSIONS WARRANTY.

  • 5 Years Later — Still love it - 1999 Honda Accord
    By -

Five years after I bought it, I still love this car— and plan to drive it as long as it lasts. That could be a while. Honda builds amazing engines even with the 4-cylinder, it has plenty of get-up-and go—love it when the V-TEC kicks in over 4,000 RPM. Its comfortable, capable, and completely reliable. Ive only had to do regular maintenance—not a single repair. Plus its sleek and handsome. Best car Ive ever owned.
