Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • ALMOST THERE!!! - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

The 2013 Honda Accord is almost there if Honda would improve in areas that customers have complained about for almost 20 years. The 4cyl engine in my Accord is efficient for the most part but it has a loud cheap clattering sound when idle. Honda should also make navigation standard in the EX and above models especially for the asking price. There is no need to have two large screens in the middle of the dash just to make the interior look more technologically advanced. My brakes which are new and just installed by a Honda dealership need more work because sometimes they will brake as expected and other times the braking distance is almost doubled which has scared us several times. It is a good car overall but Honda has to pay more attention to the small details.

  • Love my new Honda Accord! - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchased my new 2009 Honda Accord LX in late December 2009 and couldnt be happier. Even the base model comes very well equipped. I was torn between the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord and once I drove each vehicle, the Accord won hands down. The interior of the Accord is very similar to the Acura and looks great. I have the 4 cylinder and am pleasantly surprised with the acceleration and handling. Thanks to my new Accord, I dont mind getting stuck in traffic anymore!

  • safety features let me down - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I rear ended another vehicle- and all of the safety feature for which I actually bought the car for really let me down. My seat belt malfunctioned and pulled all the way out and never even restrained me. My driver side air bag did not even open, but the passanger side airbag did open (it opened up- not out and completely shattered the windshield), even though there was no passanger. My whole body slammed into my steering wheel. If either of these features had worked properly I would have been ok- but they both failed. I am upset about this b/c I am pregnant and really rely on those safety features of a airbag and seat belt

  • Outstanding Ride! - 2003 Honda Accord

Powerful, quiet, comfortable, reliable...good value for under $25k

  • door seals - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

We have noticed that the door seals allow water to seep into the door frames on all four doors, but the front ones are the worst. When the door is opened, the collected water drips onto the leather seat. I have taken it back to the dealer once, and they insist that everything is in order. I said, "then Honda should issue a towel with the car". Even if there isnt enough water to drip, it still accumulates inside the door well and stays there for days. This will eventually cause corrosion. Has anyone else had this problem? Am wondering if it is a design flaw or if it is my car in particular.

  • Family sedan youll love to drive - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

Surprisingly good gas mileage considering the Accords size and feel. Accelleration with 4 cyl / 5 spd combination more than adequate. Engine is very quiet, almost too quiet as I sometimes find myself driving 10 mph beyond optimum shift point. Interior is comfortable and quite adequate for 4 adults. Overall, car is an exceptional value.

  • Great Car, bad dealer - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I have been researching this car for a few months now. I finally got to drive it and love it more than I even thought I would! I drove both the 6 cyl and the 4 cyl setups. The 4 cyl really suprised me, and the interior was more comfortable than my current luxury car. The ride was a tad bit stiff, but as a result pulling corners was great with little roll. However, the deal went sour when the sales "manager" tried to mislead me about some stuff, so Costa Mesa Honda wont be getting my business! Beware of this dealership, and do your homework before you go to ANY dealership.

  • Radiator, Rock, Blown Head Gasket - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

I leased a 2008 Accord in April 2008 - at 7,000 miles I noticed that the heater was not working - took it to the dealership - they determined that a rock had hit & put a hole in the radiator - not covered by warranty - $900 out of my pocket. 4,000 miles later the temp gauge went sky high - immediately took to dealership (less than 10 miles) and was informed that I now have a blown head gasket due to the radiator issue -$1600 out of my pocket - still discussing the issue but not happy with the radiator design or the run around - no car for 5 days now. No free rental as it is not a warranty item. Check engine light also comes on and goes off intermittently - Do I have a Lemon???

  • My First Honda - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

I have owned this coupe for 2 months now, and overall I am happy with the purchase. Definitely different than driving an Expedition. Gas mileage at first wasnt great but having reached 2500 miles, it seemed to go up dramatically in city driving. 17 mpg average to 20.7 mpg average. Hwy avg. mpg is 26, but havent gone out of town lately, it may be more. VCM/ECO did surge a lot when I first bought it, now just does it ever so often, usually only when accelerating from a low speed. Ride is great, power is awesome.

  • First Honda...... - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my first Honda, I do have to admit its a fun car. Not to mention the reputation of this car was the reason why I went from a Monte Carlo SS (07) to a honda accord fully loaded. So far so good... I hope with the proper maintenance it will last as long as my brothers accord with no problems (12 years.)
