Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Not the best road handling, almost lost control - 2017 Honda Accord
    By -

Recommend you test drive over 30 minutes on highway, ramps, and curves. The front driver seat is uncomfortable and feels like a lump in lower back even after adjusting lumbar support. With two display Windows theres a lot to view and is distracting punching buttons while driving. Its hard to see the speed you are driving at quick glance. It would be nicer if there was a Marker to show speed range between 55 and 65 mph. There no fast way to mute music. Brake pedal feels far away and hard to stop. This car almost went out of control on a curve. It does not drive as well as my old Volvo of 12 years. So, still adjusting to a bigger car.

  • 2008 Accord Still a Great Car - 2008 Honda Accord

We leased two 2006 Accords, and we kept one and traded one for a 2008 Accord. all three of these cars were 4 cylinder models. The 2008 model acceleration from standing start is about the same as the 2006. However, the 08 has better high speed acceleration. The gas mileage on the highway is about the same for both models. We average between 31 and 34 on highway trips with both cars. Local mileage with the 08 has been about 24 mpg, and about 25 mpg with the 06s that weve leased. The 08 is more comfortable and handles quite a bit better than the very good experience we had with the 06s. All three of these recent Accords have been totally satisfactory cars.

  • STRAIGHT TO REPAIR SHOP - 2004 Honda Accord

I BOUGHT THIS CAR ON AUGUST 1ST AND 2 DAYS LATTER CAR STARTED TO HAVE NOICE IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR. WHEN I TURN THE WHELL INSTEAD OF GOING SMOOTHLY IT GOES BY BUMPS AND NOICE IN THE FRONT BECOMES EVEN LOUDER. THE CAR IS UNDRIVABLE. I WENT TO THE DELERSHIP BUT THEY TOLD ME TO WAIT 3 WEEKS BECAUSE THEY ARE BOOKED. I WENT TO SEVERAL HONDA DEALERSHIPS AND ALL OF THEM WERE PACKED WITH NEW ACCORDS. I TRULY REGRET THAT I BOUGHT THAT CAR. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.

  • Solid and Reliable - 1994 Honda Accord
    By -

Owned the car for 10 years and bought new. Extremely reliable, have 195k miles and still going with original motor and transmission. Other than maintenance, replaced master cylinder, 1/2 shaft axel, radiator, and muffler. With all of these in the last 5,000 miles. 4 cylinder VTEC is adequate but V6 would solve underpower issue at times. A/C was first under new refrigerant...only area of car that is not properly designed.

  • 10 days, 1,000 miles and lovin it - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

Couldnt be happier with the Accord. I really liked driving a Durango for the past 7 years and the 3 Saturns we have owned have been fine. However, the Accord is the best. It is fun to drive, well built and gets good mileage.

  • Is there any other car to buy!!! - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car after doing my home work on Toyotas, Hyundais, Acuras, and Nissans. There was no comparison to be made. The engine was smooth and powerful. The handling quick and agile. The comfort level was incredible. And the over quality is fantastic. Best car for the money, maybe even for more money.

  • ***WARNING*** - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I have owned the 03 EX/V6 Accord for almost two years and in that time I have had several problems that should make any prospective buyers run for the exit door. I have had the brakes redone way too many times for a car with only 75,000 easy highway miles in it. In fact Honda even replaced the rotors at 26K because they were warped. Most recently the LED display enter "burned out". Scott Honda told me that it would cost $150.00 minimum to diagnose, but in his experience they have always had to REPLACE the unit to THE tune of about $1,200. Ouch! $1,200 to fix a non-wear part that the service rep admitted has been an issue with the 03 Accord. DEEFECTIVE DEFECTIVE DEFECTIVE!!!!!!!!!

  • My 2008 Honda Accord Lemon - 2008 Honda Accord

I bought my fourth Honda in December.I traded in my 2006 Se 4 door Accord.Boy do I regret that.I am having problems with the passenger side seat track, pealing paint on the rear bumper,Horrible Upholstery on the drivers side, and the major thing is an Major electrical problem with the Headlights and taillights flickering and dimming when you use the a/c and the cooling fans kick on and off.The dash lights and radio go in and out also with this problem. The 2008 Accord is a danger to the road....am a Handicapped citizen and basically Honda does not care about their faulty products.

  • 198,000 and still going strong - 1997 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchased this vehicle with 150 miles. I fell in love with it and still am. It has 198,000 miles and I know it can still go another 100,000. The power windows in the front were always slow, but no problems. I drive on the highway alot and the car performs great many long trips doing 85 to 100 mph continously. The CV joint boots did not go until 90,000, where in most foreing cars I have owned break in 35,000. No mechanical problems have occured. Had 2 major accidents and the car still performs great. I will never buy another make but Honda.

  • into the ground - 1991 Honda Accord

I just logged 200,000 miles. If the body doesnt fall apart, it will go another 200,000. Rust is starting to get it. But this car always works. Change the timing belt and water pump and your good to go. I hope to retire with it in about 20 years
