Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

By accord lover - May 9 - 2:00 amI love this car. It is a well-built Honda. This car is fun to drive. The only problem is the gas mileage. The car is reliable and fun to drive. It has a good engine. 200 hp is not weak. The car is light and quick. It is a smooth and comfortable ride.

Great Bang for the Buck - 2004 Honda Accord
By Jawhawk - May 7 - 11:23 pmJust bought our red Accord this week. Beautiful car; got a lot of compliments on how sporty it looks. Drives like a dream and the manual transmission shifts wonderfully. Bought it to replace a 99 Saab with a blown transmission. Thought about a new car, but figured we could get a better car used than new in our price range. We think we made a good choice.

Good to Great - 2009 Honda Accord
By Dan - May 7 - 5:33 pmI traded in my 2005 LX for the 2009 EX. First, resale value is sweet! Mine was a lease that I went about 20K miles over. I traded it in rather than returning it and after the lease payoff the dealer cut me a check! Overall, I love the new Accord. I disagree with a lot of people and find the seats very comfortable. For those that dont, READ the owners manual on proper adjustment of the head rest; there is a page on that and it makes a big difference. As for brake issues and MPG, both are great for me. If yours is not, try relaxing when you drive.

Awesome But Not Perfect - 2008 Honda Accord
By DaGuy - May 7 - 5:43 amI traded in a 1999 Volvo S80 for the new 2008 Accord EX-L V6 w/Nav. The new Accord is impressive in quite a few areas: cabin size, powerful V6, fantastic (truly fun and easy) technology package, handles great despite the fact that it leans a bit too much on aggressive curve handling. My Volvo had a turbo V6, I dont miss it one bit. The Accord engine delivers ample power. Its hard to imagine but the new Accord is actually the same size & weight of my S80 but handles like a smaller sports car. Bottom line, If you cant afford a 40K+ unreliable luxury car then this is a fantastic choice.

Close to Perfection - 2017 Honda Accord
By Matthew Whitaker - May 7 - 4:02 amThis is my second 9th gen Accord Touring, so Im obviously a fan of Honda and this iteration of Accord. The 2017 9.5 gen is even more refined than my 2014, with a smoother operating engine that has more seamless VCM transitions between 3 and 6 cylinders, more supple ride quality due to the reactive amplitude dampers and revised rear bushings, vastly improved and updated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, improved, more eye-catching styling, Honda Sensing safety features, and additional luxury features, such as rain-sensing wipers, full LED headlights with auto LED highbeams and heated rear seats. In Lunar Silver Metallic with deeply tinted windows, the car often attracts compliments. The acceleration is outstanding and the J-series V6 is a real gem: one of Wards Best engines for 2014, its smooth and rev-happy, with a mean, intoxicatingly joyous sound when worked hard into VTEC range (5100 rpm). It makes higher trim Accords feel like a completely different beast than those powered with i4s and CVTs. If theres any downside, it would have to be the POS Continental ProContact tires that Honda has chosen for models with 19" wheels. Too narrow in both width and sidewall, the tires explode at seemingly the tiniest impact, which is probably one of the reasons why such a reliable automaker now has a roadside assistance program. Having owned my 2017 for 6 months, I speak from experience as I have now had 3 blowouts since December 2016. At $362/tire, premature replacement of tires due to blowouts has to be the largest, if only downside to my ownership experience thus far.

Very good car - 2001 Honda Accord
By CamryFan2 - May 7 - 2:00 amThis is a terrific car! It replaces my 91 Mazda (307,000+ miles) and is definitely a great bargain. Seats are very comfortable in the front, much like my 2000 Camry LE V-6, and the controls are very well laid out. Even with the 4-banger, this car has solid performance, and oil analysis on both engine and transmission indicate excellent reliability. I also appreciate the relatively easy access to all routine maintenance items. The only drawback is a poorly designed back seat. The seat cushion does not provide adequate thight support for a person of average height, and the rear seat headrests, just two small bumps, are almost worthless.
