Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Wouldnt drive anything but a Honda - 1999 Honda Accord
By BruceF - June 18 - 2:00 amI really do love this car! The styling still looks current, and its fun to drive. It gets great gas mileage, and it has plenty of room for me and four friends. It is a great car for my commute back and forth to college. It provides the functionality of a sedan with the sportiness of a coupe. Ive never had a serious problem with it other than the brake switch going out-- the brakes still worked, but the taillights didnt come on. It was repaired under warranty. Other than that, it has not given me a single problem. Ill drive it till the wheels fall off.

77,000 miles and counting - 1999 Honda Accord
By 6thgenaccord - June 18 - 2:00 amGot a Honda Accord Ex sedan in Apr. 99 and it is a wonderful investment. The only gripes that Ive had were like the guy in the previous review said, I got scared when the engine stalled when I was in the left turn lane. Everything died and I was luckily able to make it to my Honda dealer after restarting the car 10 times. Honda fixed it free of charge though cause it was a recall. That happened when the car was at 60K miles. Now, its at 77K and still running well. I just wish now it had more horsepower

Beautiful and Bumpy - 2003 Honda Accord
By Michael in Boston - June 18 - 2:00 amJust swithched my 2000 Accord EX for a 2003 Accord EX 4 cylinder with leather. Beautiful appearance in and out (the pk garage guys are taking turns today with it!)- substantially more powerful with stronger brakes. However, EVERY bump is felt significantly. Its pothole season in Boston and now I really know it. Wondering if there is a way to tune the suspension. Herb Chambers dealership in Boston behaved disgustingly during sale- only positive was former salesman (from my last car 3 yrs ago) stepping in to try and salvage dealer reputation.

Excessive Road Noise - 2008 Honda Accord
By Jack - June 17 - 10:13 pmThis car is not at all fun to drive because of road noise and engine noise. I wonder why Honda overlooked this. If you are planning to buy this car and are concerned about engine and road noise think twice and do the road test carefully. Road noise is really irritating and annoying.

I will never buy American again... - 2007 Honda Accord
By Sandi - June 16 - 7:00 pmI just purchased a 2007 LX V-5 4 door sedan. It handles superbly, and I feel 110% safe in this vehicle. I highly recommend it. I had a Chevy Malibu and it doesnt even compare. Honda is in a class by itself -- the Japanese have outdone themselves. Great V-6 engine, fast as lightning, terrific sound system and overall comfort. Run, dont walk, to your nearest Honda dealership. Awesome driving experience!

Beware Dimming Headlights - 2008 Honda Accord
By JCLARO - June 15 - 7:33 pmAfter having the car for 1 week I drove fro an extended period at night. The headlights and taillights flicker every 30 or so seconds when the A/C kicks in at all speeds. Not only is this very annoying but also dangerous due possible road rage from drivers thinking you are flashing them or from a trucker passing you thinking that its clear by the flicker from the headlights not to mention problems associated with the taillights flickering. Called Dealership and while they are helpful Honda says that this is normal even though they are working on a fix. Honda has been aware of this and still no fix they say its "normal" because all the 4cyl do this.

Poor seats - 2009 Honda Accord
By Sal - June 15 - 2:43 amThis is the first that we purchased a Honda, and I am very dis appointed with the seats. As a driver I cannot find a comfortable position and the seat is killing my back. I wish I had test driven this car for a longer period of time and I would not have purchased this car.

My 5th Honda since 1991(V4s) - 2004 Honda Accord
By Accord V6 Coupe - June 14 - 2:16 amThis is the Honda I always wanted. A divorce helped me in buying what I wanted. The car is on the BMW scale (I owned a 520 in Germany). The handling in not as balanced but all other categories it is the better of the two, an money is the driver here, 10K dollars worth. The car is a 10, Better mattes, these are not so good. The interior is A+ leather fits well and the XM is an added feature. The V6, dont care what they say about the V4, buy the six it purrs at 3.5K RPM doing 80 MPH and have fun its what lifes all about. Drive it like a stick, you wont need the manual, I drove it, buy the Auto.

Been A Great Car - 1992 Honda Accord
By ryan329 - June 14 - 2:00 amThis has been a great car over the years. I have never had to fix anything major on it. The styling still looks good when compared to other sedans at the time. The steering and handling is great. The car could use some more power for passing, but for a four cylinder vehicle it does a good job.
