Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Best Choice on the Market - 2009 Honda Accord

I had always thought of Accords as boring sedans, after over a month of test driving at least 15 cars it was clearly the best choice. I looked at all competing mid-size sedans along with a few luxury mid-size sedans, there was no comparison. The Accord is as nice as the 3 series BMW but the quality and reliability blows it out of the water. The Camry was just ok, but I personally prefer the sporty tight driving Accord.

  • Accord aint what it once was - 2009 Honda Accord

This is the 2nd Accord Ive owned. The first was bought new in 1993. Drove it for 15 years and never missed a beat. Fantastic car. But the 2009 has been a huge disappointment. Heres a laundry list of its shortcomings: Rear brakes have been replaced twice. (97000 miles on car) 1st time under warranty (partially) 2nd time on me. rotors pads and calipers. Rear deck rattles along with various rattles from the dash. Carpet on passenger side wont stay put. Keyfobs (yes both) are inoperable. At 90,000 it began burning oil. Now burns a quart of oil every 1500-1700 miles, but Honda says thats normal (BS). Road noise is rather high. Fan for the heater/AC is squeaky on low. So its high or tear your hair out with aggravation. Drivers seat is good for about an hour of driving before back ache sets in. I kept the car cause it was paid for, but the oil burning is the final straw for me. Getting rid of it soon. Wont ever get another Honda.

  • Easy Decision - 1998 Honda Accord

Hanles exceptionally well in the snow, we have two of these and we have never had any difficulty. Interior design is exceptional, large knobs and buttons are all at arms reach. Gas mileage is excellent, gets about 27 around town. The 4 cylinder is enough because this is a very light vehicle. Highly recommend.

  • Great car, except gas mileage - 1996 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car when it had 132500. Overall, its a pretty nice car, never failed me in times. Can be expensive to fix but if you have the right connections, you can get it fixed for the right price. In the year i owned it, i replaced the cv boot-90 for parts and 90 for work, timing belt changed for the first time changed at 135000 and didnt even snap, impressive. Window just driver side motor just broke, 110 with part. Gas mileage is my biggest concern. During the winter i got 16mpg, and summer i got 20, might not be so bad for a normal car but pretty bad for a 130hp 4 banger. Also winter driving was horrible with no traction

This care has been zero maintenance (except for routine maintenance which I have performed according to schedule.) It has certainly turned me into a Honda owner.

  • My first Honda after 36 years of Toyotas - 2017 Honda Accord

I love this car. It has the space, the luxury, the technology, and the pep that I wanted. The Accord is not as quiet as my Toyotas, nor is the music/sound system as good. But both complaints are minor, and this car offers more bang/value for the buck than the equivalent Avalon. Im happy with my choice.

  • Best Car I Have Owned - 1998 Honda Accord

Drove this car over 134,000 miles and have enjoyed the reliability and driving features in every aspect. Other than two flats this car has had only regular maintenance. Replaced belts and water pump at 105,000 miles and oxygen sensors just before that. Nothing else has been done except change oil about every 5,000 miles and put in gas. On fourth set of tires and lots of tread left on them. Several miles that do not show on speedometer were towed miles behind motor home.

  • Love the car - 1998 Honda Accord

Awesome car, everything you expect from a Honda. I drove it for almost 2 years and had absolutely no problems with it. Love everything about it. Gas millage was significantly noticed when upgraded from a 4 cylinder. The feel of the car when you drive a v6, was well worth it though.
