This Year's Model Updates:

As the model was fully redesigned for the 2003 model year, there are only a few changes on the 2004 Honda Accord. Availability of side curtain airbags has been expanded this year to four-cylinder EX models -- standard on those with leather, optional on cars with a cloth interior. All four- and six-cylinder EX models equipped with a leather interior now have XM Satellite Radio with three months of free service as standard equipment. And as with all Honda cars this year, a new seatbelt reminder system is standard. Accord models meeting California's stringent Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards -- all four-cylinder sedans equipped with automatic transmission -- will also be sold in the states of New York, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.

Pros:
  • Tight build quality, quiet cabin, refined and powerful engines, reputation for quality and durability, high crash test scores.

  • Just Bought my first Honda :-))) - 2004 Honda Accord

After considering the Passat and the option to buy a used BMW, Audi, etc. I settled on the 2004 Accord EX/V-6. I just picked it up this weekend. It came in PERFECT condition. XM radio is great. I bought it from Metro Honda in RI - GREAT place to buy a car - straight talk and honest! It has all of the bells and whistles one could ask for and is VERY reasonably priced. (Not to mention the good feeling knowing that there are 8 airbags in it - just in case). The V-6 really moves this machine! Safety, good performance and good price - what else could I ask for!

Car is a significant improvement over the 2000 V-6 model, which is also a fine car. The 04 model is more refined, more powerfull, better fuel economy and has more nice features. Avg. MPG in mixed driving for last three tanks is 27 to 28. About 2 mpg better than the 2000 model.

  • This is NOT the Honda youre used to!!! - 2004 Honda Accord

My family has owned a total of 8 Hondas, the 04 Accord being the most recent. Since buying in Sept, its been back to the dealership FIVE times to repair misaligned parts, rattling and popping noises in the passenger door and windshield. Its STILL not fixed. Funny thing is Honda doesnt seem to think they should replace our car even though they cant seem to fix it. Watch out - the quality of Honda is rapidly deteriorating and they seem less than concerned about it!! We got Ford quality for a Honda price tag.

Great looking car that performs at the top of its class for a 4 cylinder. Vtec engines win loyal customers for their performance and maintenance records. Cant beat the price for what you get.

  • Not all that I expected - 2004 Honda Accord

When I graduated from college I could not wait to get my Accord Coupe, now I am looking forward to my next vehicle. I had very high expectations which have not been met. Every time I have a rattle fixed a new one develops. Luckily, my dealer doesnt mind me bringing the car is every other month. The breaks are still good; however, they make noises all the time. Honda needs to re-focus on build quality.

  • New Accord LX w/V6 - 2004 Honda Accord

This car has much more interior room and trunk space than my 94 Accord, though the car isnt as sexy looking. The V-6 engine has more power than I can use and has provided the "midlife crisis" excitement I wanted without sacrificing 4 doors and seating for 5. The stereo with CD-changer is great. Driving comfort is unmatched. Reliability is - you know - Honda. The breaks are great but a little sticky in initial touch.

Bought another Honda. This makes the sixth Honda product my family (3 people) has purchased over 15 years. The EX V6 with Navi has all the goodies. The biggest improvement is the silky smooth transmission, now a 5 speed, power and rigidity. Its simply a ball to drive! Why pay $35-$40,000 when you can get the whole package for under $27,000.

I moved up in the world from a 2k2 Accord and love my 05. The style inside and out is perfect. XM Satellite Radio, Dual Climate Control, Great leather seats, Side Curtain Airbags. The seat and drive comfort is PERFECT. I highly recommend this vehicle- ~T

Bought Accord new six months ago. I went to buy an Altima, but it wasnt comfortable as I am only 5 feet tall. I sat in Accord & it just fit. I had to settle for the EX 4cyl rather than 6 cyl w/leather to fit in my budget (due to higher Honda prices) but heard it was worth it for reputation of dependability and resale value. I agree. Gold color doesnt show Southern dirt and dust. Handles beautifully in the rain and sticks to the road unlike other cars Ive owned including Lexus, Acura and Mitsubishi. It is family friendly, yet sporty. My 15-year old now wants one come her 16th birthday. If car continues like its going and keeps impressing me, shell get one. Highly recommended!
