Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

1996 Honda Accord LX Sedan - 1996 Honda Accord
By Koller1 - August 9 - 2:00 amLove it. Bought it with 32K miles and now has 133K. Drivers side window is very slow going up but that is it. Ive changed the timing belt and have gone through two sets of tires and thats it. Not a high performance vehicle that will put you back in your seat but very dependable and comfortable with overall very good performance.

stupid honda - 1998 Honda Accord
By Kris Merkley - August 9 - 2:00 am3 months after purchase, the Alternator dies and takes the battery with it, acceptable. 2 months later, the transmission dies and we pay $3000 for a rebuilt, which was received about 3 months after going into the shop. Then, not too long after that, we notice the car shifting hard in the mornings, guess what? seals on the torque converter are hosed, another $800 for 3 ea. $1.50 seals. and then at about 95K, the catalytic converter fails, so, we replace that, and the o2 sensor stuck in it. and now, at 106K, the drivers side CV joint is popping when I turn right. I will never again buy a honda.

Should have been better... - 2006 Honda Accord
By Stuart - August 6 - 7:56 pmI bought this car for the safety, reliability, resale value, and fuel economy. After living with it for 6 months, I really dislike this car. The ride is noisy, bumpy and harsh all the time, the windows and dash are full or rattles, and the drivers seat is a miserable place to spend any time. Cloth upholstery is at the bottom of the class. The standard stereo has a cd changer but the sound is not good. The headlights put out a lot less light than I was expecting. Honda has a great reputation, but that appears to be all you are paying for on this car.

Ageless reliability - 2001 Honda Accord
By Todd S - August 6 - 11:46 amI passed up a high-end European car in 2001 on rumours of electrical problems. Im at 65,000 miles and 2 accidents (not my fault) and the Accord is faultless. I havent had even one issue, one rattle - nothing. (The dealer gets kudos for the quick faultless repairs after the accidents.) The TCS has proven helpful in ice, although better tires have proven a better solution in that area. Back seat fits a newborn carseat very well and the easy entry makes it easy for Dad to climb out after installing the carseat. After 5 years - Im really digging for an excuse to get the 2005. But I cant come up with one. My car runs as well as the day I bought it. Go to Koons!

Good - 2016 Honda Accord
By Jung - August 5 - 5:38 amBought it for 23300. Very good so far. Had it for two weeks. Drove 1400 miles highway and averaged out 32 to 33 mpg. Kinda shifts to left but i think its just the wheel alignment.

Not Bad - 1995 Honda Accord
By red99 - August 5 - 2:00 amRepairs get VERY expensive past 100K miles. SRS system has a problem with low voltage requiring reset at dealership. ABS system known to leak and VERY expensive to replace ~$2000. Replacemnt catlytic converter way overpriced $1000.

One of the best cars made - 1999 Honda Accord
By jasmin - August 5 - 2:00 amThis was my first car and I have to tell you, it was my favourite. Everything about just made me swoon, from the sound of the engine to the comfort of the leather, to even the sunglass holder in the overhead. My parents loved it so much that when my lease was over, they bought it! The only problem I really had was that for a student, it wasnt very good on gas, and the maintenance was expensive from the dealership. Also, my heated seat malfunctioned once and almost burned my butt off! (well at least that was what it felt like) but no other problems. Honda fixed it immediately, and actually gave me coupons for 3 free maintainence checks.
