Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Most practical sport coupe! - 2005 Honda Accord
By Brian P. - August 13 - 10:16 amI am amazed with the practicality of the Accord! It has the best of both worlds: It is definitely fast, handles very well, and has a tight ride; on the other hand, it has ample back seat room, a cavernous trunk, and features normally found on more luxury models. I was originally looking at the Infiniti G35 but decided the extra ponies wasnt worth having back seat passengers hit their heads on the back windshield. The Accord is almost as fast while offering a lot more comfort. You really cant go wrong with this car!

Love This Car - 2008 Honda Accord
By Nick S. - August 13 - 4:16 amAfter much review of 4 door sedans in the $30K price range I went with the Accord. Im only 100 miles into my driving experience, but have to say that I love this car. It has a very upscale exterior design. The build feels and is very solid. The doors close like a Mercedes. The seems are very tight. As far as handling, the best was I can put it is that it is very confident. The braking and acceleration are excellent. The interior design is roomy and very comfortable. The control counsel and sound system do a very solid job. You could pay $20K more for a luxury sedan. But why?

03-V6-Coupe-6SPD-Nav - 2003 Honda Accord
By Keith - August 12 - 2:03 pmLove the way the engine revs with that 6 speed. Plenty of gears, plenty of rpm. Need the tach since the engine is so smooth and quiet. Power is better than expected, could be better. Takes regular gas. Rides real smooth at all speeds. Since I got this car, I dont wonder about BMW 3 series anymore. About the same performance and I know the realibility is much better. Saw the speedo at 120, it had plenty of room to go. Loooove the sat-nav system. I burn my own CDs for the 6 CD changer, and keep a stack of 50 below. After 26000 miles, hasnt needed anything other than oil changes. Nothing mechanical has even hinted.

Best Car Ive Owned - 1994 Honda Accord
By Jabez - August 12 - 2:00 amBought the car with 221k miles on it. Previous owner had done nothing but std maint (tires, brakes, exhaust, tune-up, t-belt). I have put 23k more on it with only brakes and an alignment. Still the original clutch, struts, water pump, etc. with 239k miles...almost unbelievable?! Everything still works on the car (AC, all electric, etc.), and it does not have any rattles (even after a front end accident by previous owner). Doesnt use a drop of oil between changes, and I dont drive this car very easy. By far the best car I have owned, with my Maxima being very close behind. Get a well maintained used one, and dont be afraid of high miles

disappointed - 1999 Honda Accord
By aposak - August 12 - 2:00 amA previous Accord owner, I am highly disappointed by this car. The interior is thoughtfully laid out and very nice. The styling is alright. The performance does not meet my expectations at all. I expected better than 20 mpg (my previous 4-cyl Accord averaged 31). The transmission is terrible! Previous owner had it replaced, but still doesnt shift well at all. This is my first Honda automatic, and my last for sure. Ill either go with a manual 4- cyl or look at a different brand.

My Dream Car - 1997 Honda Accord
By Ecks - August 11 - 2:00 amI just bought my Honda and I love it, I have wanted an Accord for a while now and everything I was hoping it would be it is. The only complants are the rough shift from 1st to 2nd, slow power windows, and the seams on my leather seats are coming apart, but I suspect it was the previous owners lack of leather conditioning and care.

Damn good car for the price - 2009 Honda Accord
By David - August 10 - 6:32 pmI have thoroughly enjoyed owning this car. Smooth to drive, good in all weather, and just keeps on going. I have experienced a little oil burn issue and do need to change the oil every 4,000 miles. However, other than that I have only had to do regular maintenance. I drive a lot of miles every year and will most likely buy another accord. The only other issue is that at 64", sliding in and out at age 60 might become a problem for me. Love this car, and looking forward to the new Tech upgrades a new car will bring.

Very Pleased - 2009 Honda Accord
By SUC to Sedan Convert - August 10 - 5:20 amSo far, so good. I purchased my 09 Accord EX V-6 in March of 2009. So far I have put 4000 miles on the car and have been very happy with it. This was the first "car" I have purchased in over 10 years. I have been driving gas guzzling SUVs for the last 11 years, and this car reminded me how fun it is to drive again. It is a visually stunning car and has been turning heads since the day I got it. The interior controls are laid out well, but they definitely took a little getting used to. It handles beautifully and the transmission is very smooth. Im 62 & 205 lbs, and I think the car is very comfortable, the seats are average, but not a reason to pass over this car.

Love it! - 2005 Honda Accord
By ann - August 9 - 3:53 pmIve had my Accord Hybrid about a month and I love it. I am amazed at how quiet it is, how smooth the ride is and the great pickup. I always think there is room for improvement for the fuel economy but for the size car I need right now I think this is the best. My new bumper sticker, "My other car is not a Hummer". :)

Although It is too early to review... - 2004 Honda Accord
By MilindPatil - August 9 - 10:00 amsome items (such as fuel economy, reliability) as I just bought my this second Accord today, I just went ahead and rated these based on my previous experience. Of course, my last Accord was built in Japan and this one in Mexico, but hopefully that wont have changed the build quality and reliability. However, looks, feels and drives simply awsome, My deep Green color is outstanding (Graphite Pearl is equaly good). Limited choice on interior color, but one can live with. BUT THE ONLY (AND TERRIBLY) ANNOYING PART IS ... THERE IS NO CASSATE PLAYER AS STANDARD !!!! ONE HAS TO PAY EXTRA FOR THE IT. That is very very annoying.
