Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • This car is ok with ME - 2003 Honda Accord

The 03 Accord is my first Honda.I have had the recall on the transmission taken care of. It was never a problem.I have read that people have had problems with the brakes, I live in MASS. I have not experianced any problems. I have 14,ooo miles. I installed the rear spoiler and splash guards, moon roof visor, the car looks more sporty now.

  • Improved for 2006 - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

Every since the last re-design of the Accord I have been lukewarm about tail of the Accord - maybe silly, but I did not like it. For 2006, Honda improved the looks, but also improved the engine (4-cyl). After test driving, I was convinced I wanted this car. I purchased mine less than 3 weeks after the release of the 2006 (I never purchased a new design - even mid-cycle). I am impressed with the quickness and control of the 2006 Accord. Honda has made improvements in cabin quiteness (over previous generations) and I am very happy with my purchase.

  • Last Accord For A While - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

Sadly, this is our last Accord for a while. We have had all the brake issues described before. Ours was fixed under warranty 5 times and now we are told we are on our own by Honda. The service bulletin everyone is waiting on is not coming. The 10s will be out next month, so 2 years and no fix is just that. No fix. The cycling of the exterior lights is just annoying. Its much worse than Hondas past that only did it when the compressor kicked in and was not that noticeable. And yes we were very disappointed in the seat comfort of the EXL model compared to years past. Traded it for a Venza at 45k, sadly we are done with Honda, the quality and customer service is just not there anymore.

  • The 2008-2009 Honda Accords are too big - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

We have been buying a Honda Accord sedan every five years for the last thirty years, with the last purchase being the 2008 Accord V6 EX-L. Compared to my 2003 V6 EX-L Accord Sedan, the 2008 seems way to big even though the difference in size is only a few inches. My 2003 drives and feels like a (semi) sports car and the 2008 drives and feels like a full size fat nose sedan, which it is. If you need to haul three adults around in the back seat, then get a 2008-2009, but if you like a sporty car that is fun to drive, then I would suggest that you get a different make of car, as Honda has abandoned its basic principles of making sedans that are fun to drive.

  • Greatest Automobile Devised by Man - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

This is a follow-up to my two previous reviews on my 2008 Honda Accord Base Model. It is the greatest automobile ever devised by man. After seven months of ownership and driving, the engines MPG has actually gone UP from 21.2 to a current whopping 23 city, 25 when doing much highway. This isnt the sticker MPG, its from careful recording and calc. after filling up. Your break-in period for the first 600 miles is crucial - dont gun your engine during that time. Warm up your engine for about a minute after each startup. After this coddling, you can drive like Danica Patrick at the Indy 500 and your Honda Accord will eat up the road. Good luck to all. Thank you.

  • Nice but do your research - 1999 Honda Accord
    By -

I am a college student and up to this point the car has worked great for me. But transmission just started acting up and I am having it rebuilt right now, which will leave me practically destitute. Never expected this from a Honda, which is why I saved up to buy it in the first place. What a mistake! Honda America does not even respond to my letters or return my calls for assistance. Dont know why only 00-01 models get extended powertrain warranty when it is the same transmission in 98- 99 models. Apparently Ill never know anyway since they wont even acknowledge me. This will certainly be my last Honda.

After 2 Civics, 1 Odyssey, and 1 Del Sol, I finally purchased an Accord. Ive been in love with Hondas since the mid-80s, and this Accord is probably my favorite vehicle yet. It is beautiful, and I love driving it. It is such a comfortable ride.

  • My First Honda - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

I have been in Fords my whold life and this is my first Honda. I will be in Hondas from now on as it is going now. This is a beautiful car that drives great! It has the smoothest shifter I have even in more than 20 years of driving manuals. The car is a pleasure to drive and gets fantastic gas milege on the road and in town. A Very Comfortable Automobile. I test drove a Mazda 6 and a Nissan Altima and I have to say I am pleased I decided to go with the Honda!

I have previously owned Toyota, Chevy, Infiniti, and Nissan, this Honda Accord is simply the best! I love driving it, I have the leather seats and all the bells and whistles. It handles great in snow. Lots of safety features too.
