Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

a sub-class between the ex and the lx, mostly the honda folks called glorified LX big and comfy seat, the seatbelt sometime lock up too quick, especailly for the taller driver, excellent visablity cockpit. good amount of storage space. the bottemline: its better than the lx with a little more money. however i found hondas new car isnt as solidly built as honda did years ago. its a great communter car, its no where near fast but its perfect for heavy city driving, good resale valve, some what cheap to maintenan and keep, good insurance price for the teenage driver.

  • EX V6 w/XM and Navi - 2004 Honda Accord

03 vs. 04 seat belt warning system and automatic front air bag deactivation system upgraded Navi DVD and software (20030629). For example, elevation is now accurate to 10 feet. XM is really nice. I never thought I would ever pay for radio, but I just might when the free three month OEM package expires. The drivers seat hip support is much softer. Electric seat are smoother running. On the 03 the seat edge was very firm/stiff. NO RATTLES in the 04. The 03 that I had was a rattle trap. The car suspension seems more compliant and it feels to me to ride much smoother AND quieter. Fit and finish seems much improved (tight gaps).

The EX, V6 pushes out 240 hp for the thrill of your life! Not bad for a Honda. From doing internet searches to 12 different dealers, was able to get car for $200 under invoice. Call Angelia at College Park Honda - great customer service. This is my third honda and the best one yet!

  • The Best of the Best - 2004 Honda Accord

First a word of advice... save up for the Honda Accord EX with Navigation. While it seems like a $1950 toy it just SEEMS that way. It is an AMAZING total computer...not just a route-finder like so many others. Now onto the vehicle as a whole. You will not find a vehicle in the 24-26k range (after haggling) that comes close to this car in any way. In fact I would put it up against any BMW 3 series and a substantial test drive will have you feeling the same.

  • Feels like a 50 k luxury car - 2006 Honda Accord

I just purchased this vehicle yesterday. So far I think it is great. It has unbelievable accelleration, a smooth ride, sharp looking exterior, and very comfortable interior. I am not sure about the EPA numbers for fuel economy, but I am sure that may have to do with aggressive driving. I recently drove a family members BMW 5 series sedan, and I must say the Accord Hybrid feels very similar performance wise at far less of a cost.

PROS: The car has gotten better gas mileage than listed. We sometimes can get between 40-45 on the highway, and 25-30 around town. The car still looks sharp despite the issues with the paint, Ill discuss that later. Maintenance is real easy, i.e. changing fluids, no repairs other than just had to buy a new battery. The original tires (Goodyear Assurance) are some of the best OEMs ever. I still have them on at 54,000 miles and they look like I can get another 10K. CONS: The 3-4 things that bother us about the car is: 1) The engine from day two of ownership hums. Not too bad, but almost like there is a hose disconnected. Ive looked under the hood and it looks like theres an air intake cover missing, or not there by design. 2) The salesman went on and on about the paint job, how it would never fade, etc. Well, it easily scratches and does not do well with car repair waxes or solvents. In fact, these products begin to smear the area around the scratch, making it even more noticeable. We have so many dings and chips on the paint, that I doubt Ill ever be able to get anywhere near a "GOOD" rating on trade. Honda seems to always have issues with their paint, and this in just another one. 3) An issue with the A/C odor. No matter how many times we replace the cabin filter, the A/C stinks for a few seconds when we start the car. 4) Resale value. We purchased the car in June of 2013, and now in July 2017, the car is worth half of what we paid new, and that was having them come off $2500 from the sticker.

  • Good but not Great - 1998 Honda Accord

This is my first Honda. Previously I have owned Nissans, Mazdas and Volkswagens. The car is excellent interior room, big trunk, good acceleration and overall it is a good car -- not a great car. I have been somewhat disappointed by its reliability. My previous cars were all more reliable. I have had several repairs and two recalls. Would I buy a Honda again -- probably. But I would look seriously at a Camry, a Mazda6, a Passat, a Maxima, and perhaps a 3-4 year old Lexus.

  • My Accord Experience - 2009 Honda Accord

The Car has been pretty good so far. Its not bad for a 4 cylinder. The ride is ok. You can tell they cut corners from the previous generation model. Its bigger than I would have liked it to be but I did not like the styling of the civic, and I thought it was a little smaller than I wanted. Overall not a bad car, but not Hondas best in my opinion having experience with 3 Accords before. Also the braks wear out prematurely (my back brakes wore out after 17,700 miles) only owning the car for 10 months. Buyer beware the brakes have a design flaw noted in the currant issue of Motor trend. They got only 15,000 on a set of 4 brakes and were quite shocked when they took it into the dealer.

I love my Accord! Bought it used in 2003...all Ive had to replace is the catalytic converter! Awesome vehicle! My aunt had an 89 for 15 years then fell in love with a 2004 model and traded it in! Great cars!
