Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Horrible drivers seat - 2012 Honda Accord
By mickrickbob - September 28 - 10:39 amI love everything about this car...except the drivers seat. I have had this car for 6 months now and I am in terrible pain because of the seat. My job requires me to commute 1hr each day and I never look forward to this because I know how much pain I will be in when I get out of my car. Im not sure if the problem is the seat itself or the headrest. Because the headrest is on an angle, I find myself hunched over when I put my head back. I really wish Honda could find a solution to this problem because that is the only bad thing about this car.

Breaking noise when coming from a complete stop at stop lights - 2012 Honda Accord
By zintage - September 15 - 1:40 pmIt appears that in most of these 1012 models there is a break noise that becomes increasing loud when the weather temperatures increase. This was rather frustrating because I bought this car in the winter of last year and as it became summer the noise became prominent. Before you purchase this car please test drive it during hot weather and let go of the break after coming to a complete stop. It will crunch and grind as if it were a car with 500+ miles on it. My family owns 5 honda accords from previous years and none of them make this noise. The dealer indicates that its the pads shifting, but if that were the case why does it change with the weather and only in this model.

Excellent Car - Comprehensive Review - 2006 Honda Accord
By jc92 - September 10 - 11:10 pmNote: I have owned this car for several months, though my father owned it since March of 2005. The 2006 Honda Accord is a pleasure to drive. Its pickup is quite responsive and powerful, its 244 HP or so is perfect for this car. I also get good mileage, about 22-23 MPG average. The interior is roomy, the seats have a good balance between cushion and support, and the leather has held up well. The ride is average, but controlled. As far as handling is concerned, it has a light feel to it and takes the curbs pretty well, though its not a German car. I will also comment that the speakers are superior to that of any luxury car Ive been in, including the BMW 5 series, Acura TL, and Lincoln MKS.

Great Reliable Car. - 1998 Honda Accord
By pimpinpancakes - September 9 - 10:28 pmThis car is great. It is the perfect size. Dont let it fool you because it is actually very roomy and has a large/tall trunk. Honda put a lot of thought into this car. Great first car. Safe also, I had a minor accident and it held up very well.

As good as it gets for under 24K - 2012 Honda Accord
By rebiii - September 6 - 1:56 pmAfter driving my 2005 Nissan Altima for 135K I decided it was time for a new car. I tested the new Altima, Camry, and fusion. All great cars but was able to save some $$$ buying a loaded left-over. The car drives great and IÂ’m averaging about 30 miles a gallon on the highway. The leather seats are comfortable and the stereo is great with SAT.. For the record, I disagree with the review that the interior is of poor quality". Honda uses textured hard plastics for the dash but it looks nice and does not appear cheap. I find it easy to clean and maintain its highly scratch resistant. So unless you plan on resting on the dash I think it should be fine for most people...

Road Noise resonates inside the cabin - 2012 Honda Accord
By nnima - September 2 - 8:47 pmI recently bought the 2012 SE model here in Toronto, Canada, we dont get the leather seats for the SE model here but we get bluetooth instead, no idea why tho, anyway, The car looks okay (better than Camry) has good leg room in the back (Unlike Camry) and despite everyone complaining about the seats has very comfortable seats if you ask me, the problem is road noise on the highway, it drives you crazy, you can barely hear other passengers talking to you when you are doing 100 KM/h (60 mph) on cement highway, the tire thrum, road noise and wind noise resonates inside the cabin like its a tin can being rolled on the highway and you are inside it!

Back Problems - 2012 Honda Accord
By pamgattie - August 28 - 5:57 amSince I bought my Accord at the end of February, I have had lower back problems for the first time in my life. I have had to take a leave of absence to undergo epidural steroid injections. It wasnt until a recent long trip that I made the connection, When it was my turn to drive any lengthy amount of time, the pain returned just the same as the first case of back trouble. I cant go through this pain again and have nothing else to drive. Contacted Honda....we will see.

The most uncomfortable seats - 2012 Honda Accord
By remiszj - August 26 - 7:18 pmThis car has the most uncomfortable seats of anything that we ever tried. Our short test drive wasnt enough to set the alarm, but my wife commutes 140 miles a day and after the first day complained about very uncomfortable seats. After two weeks of driving my wife couldn’t take it any more with severe back pain, so I started suffering in this brand new Accord. I tried every combination of settings of this power seat, but no matter what I did there was annoying hump sticking out above the lumbar area. When driving for more than just a few miles you cant stop switching position in search for a more comfortable one. I’m 5’11” 170 lb, and my wife is 5’5” 130 lb so we don’t carry extra weight.

Honda quality all the way - 2005 Honda Accord
By cyoung6 - August 24 - 6:22 pmI purchased this car about 2.5 years ago with about 97K on it. It appeared to be highway miles and I believed in Honda quality so I purchased it. Extremely reliable and has had nothing but general maintenance done...I even skimp on this and the car is working great. It now has 160K. After reading other reviews, Im thinking I will just keep it until it needs a new engine or something so major. Only issue I have currently is a rusty squeak/grind from the lower steering column and under the body when I stop from moving and take off. Ive taken it to the shop twice and they cant find anything wrong, so I will just keep driving....
