Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Fantastic car! The best ever for me. - 2003 Honda Accord
By snowatcher - November 2 - 4:15 pmI had to write this review, as I have never felt about any car like I do about this one. When I bought it new in February 03, I thought it was the best value compared to competition. 10 years and 150K miles later, it proved to be more than that. Its super reliable, comfortable, runs like new, it brings the smile to my face every time I drive it. I do my own maintenance, which is really easy on this car. The things that went wrong: radio display (fixed by dealer for free), and brakes. I got tired replacing pads every 40K miles, so I put on Centric rotors and Akebono pads myself - best upgrade possible! OEM level performance, but much longer life and no dust. Highly recommended car!

First Car - 1998 Honda Accord
By cosmicbrownies - October 28 - 10:26 pmThis car was handed down to me in 2009, although its been in the family since 2001. It currently has 175k miles on it. Hoping for many more. Advantages: The build quality is fantastic. The power features still work like new, and everything in the interior has the feel of quality. Even the leather still looks nice. The car is very comfortable and stable on the highway. Steering is tight and suspension is firm. Also has a surprisingly huge trunk. Disadvantage: The notorious auto transmission. Was replaced around 110k, and if this one fails, itll probably be the end of the car. Thats a shame, cause otherwise its been great to me. Just wish it had the manual trans instead.

After over 333,333 miles... - 2005 Honda Accord
By lexter - October 23 - 1:13 pmThis is my third Honda Accord, and my accidentally best choice. Much more improved paint coating and rust protection. The car looks like new even now. Good acceleration in tough road situations. A fair 29-30 mpg, mostly on highways. Very comfortable seats. Superb ergonomics, which makes the car so appreciated during a long travel. The car is a nightmare for a car salesman or an example of an excellent workmanship.

No more hondas for this family - 2009 Honda Accord
By chicagotomtom - October 20 - 9:45 pmLike many reviews before me on this site, weve owned hondas our whole life, and bought the 2009 V6 Accord based on our the value and reliability that Honda built is reputation on...well, we were thinking about buying the new Pilot to replace our 2002 CRV, but after our poor experience with the quality of our 2009 Accord, its time to try another car manufacturer. Already have the rear disc brakes replaced due as a part of the class action lawsuit, the driver side lumber controls stopped working at 30k miles, and continue to have issues with the battery/starter. I had originally planned to drive the car into the ground like weve done with all our other hondas, but want to sell it now.

Makes a great first car. - 1994 Honda Accord
By josh1189 - October 18 - 1:09 pmI bought my 94 Accord EX 4 cyl auto in July 2007, with 91K miles on it, had it for 2.5 years and it was great. A few problems occured, like the A/C went out, I replaced the exhaust sytem, the battery and a couple tires. For a car of its age, I didnt think that was too bad. It ran wonderfully, never broke down and never stalled on me. Finally, though, in November of 2009, the heater core went out, causing a nasty mess of sticky smog to enter the car through the air vents, so I couldnt turn on the heat...during the winter, it was NOT fun. So, since the repair would have cost me over $1,000, I had to sell it. It was just too much. Overall, it was a great car and I highly reccommend it!

My hard earned money down the drain! - 2009 Honda Accord
By mccray35453 - October 14 - 12:00 pmI had purchased my 2009 Accord in Nov. 11. the brakes sqweaked the next day, and still is now! Had taken the car to Midas, and was told the brakes looks brand new. Yet, sqweeking! The arm rest is wrinkled/bubble. I had read where someone said "the dealer" it was due to body oils. No one sits in the passenger side of my car, so why it it wrinkled/bubbled?! The trunk rattles like nobodys business, the AC makes a funny noise when on low, like it needs oil. Same Honda doesnt stand behind their vehicles, but then again, with these complaints, I would stand behind them either...physically! Here I come Nissan!

Hitting 10 years - 2003 Honda Accord
By emc8 - October 5 - 7:22 amI bought this car new Dec 02. I only have 73k miles on it. Reading all the other reviews I am wondering if I need to get rid of it. In the last 14 months I have to replace 3 different sensors to the tune of $1,200. The engine sounds louder than ever.. this is my 5th Honda and have always loved them. My fear if I keep it is the transmission will go based on other reviews. The exterior looks fair at best and this car has been garage kept.

Severe Back Pain - 2012 Honda Accord
By shangkarm - October 1 - 10:19 pmWe bought this car in january 2012 and since then we are having severe back pain and the pain is gradually increasing. if we stop driving this car the pain goes away...and the minute we start...it reappears. we are feeling helpless as their bad designing of the seats are ruining our health. we spoke to our dealer and they said we should call the manufacturer directly. we want to know if there are others who had similar problem and what they did to resolve the problem. I think Honda should recall and replace the seats.
